Abstract

A value note cassette for self-service devices with a value note guide that can be attached to the value note cassette, wherein an adjusting device for adjusting the distance between the associated wall of the value note cassette (1) and the guide surface (4, 5) of each value note guide (2, 3) is provided for adjusting to the size of the value notes, wherein the adjusting device has at least one locking lever (10) that can be adjusted at a variable distance from the guide surface (4, 5) of each value note guide (2, 3) or on the value note cassette and can be fixed to the value note guide (2, 3) in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, wherein the locking lever (10) has a central part (12) which is provided with a toothing, the teeth of which run parallel to and at a distance from the guide surface (4, 5) of the value note guide (2, 3) and the teeth of which engage in the tooth gaps of a counter toothing (11) of the value note guide (2, 3); andwherein an end region located laterally next to the central part (12) of the locking lever (11) is designed to be dimensionally stable and the opposite end region of the locking lever (10) is designed as a locking tongue (14).

Description

The invention relates to a value note cassette for self-service devices such as cash machines, with a value note guide that can be attached in the value note cassette, wherein an adjustment device for adjusting the distance between the associated wall of the value note cassette and the guide surface of each value note guide is provided for adjusting to the size of the value notes.

Since the widths of banknotes are of different denominations and are not the same in different countries, it is necessary that the banknote guides are adapted to the widths of the banknotes.

As a rule, the security cassettes are equipped with two security guides that are mounted at equal distances from the facing walls. It is important that these positions do not change over time.

It is therefore known to design the adjustment devices for the banknote guides in a telescopic manner and to secure the position using locking screws. This design has proven to be very effective in practice, but is not easy to install because tools are required to tighten the screws.

EP 1 559 670 A2 discloses a media holding device for a media cassette of a media dispensing machine for dispensing media, such as banknotes, wherein a media seat can be attached to each of two connecting plates, wherein the two media seats can be set at a variable distance from one another. US 2007 / 0 196 150 A1 discloses a media storage device comprising a media storage body for storing recording media, a guide member slidably provided in the media storage body for guiding the recording media, a first positioning portion that positions the guide member at a predetermined position at which the guide member guides normal-sized recording media, and a second positioning portion that positions the guide member at a position at which the guide member guides irregular-sized recording media. EP 1 096 434 A2 discloses a media cassette for a self-service terminal, comprising a body for receiving media to be dispensed in the form of a media bundle with end surfaces and side surfaces, wherein at least one movable guide element is provided to position the media within the body and to engage with a corresponding side surface of the media bundle. GB 2 089 771 A discloses a pull-out paper feed tray for a photocopier.

The invention is based on the object of designing the security note cassette of the type described in more detail at the outset in such a way that an assembly-friendly design is created in a structurally simple manner.

The stated problem is solved by the subject matter of claim 1.

According to this, the adjustment device has at least one locking lever which can be adjusted at a variable distance from the guide surface of each value note guide or on the value note cassette and which can be fixed in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner on the value note guide or the value note cassette.

By securing the locking lever to the banknote guide using positive and/or force-fitting methods, the screws are no longer required and the work steps for tightening these screws are no longer necessary. The locking lever is preferably designed to be elastically locking.

In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the locking lever has a central part which is provided with a toothing, the teeth of which run parallel to and at a distance from the guide surface of the security note guide and the teeth of which engage in the tooth gaps of a counter toothing of a toothing attached or molded onto the security note guide.

The teeth allow the teeth of the locking lever to be inserted into the tooth gaps of the counter teeth. This allows the distance between the locking lever and the guide surface of the banknote guide to be adjusted depending on the width of the banknotes. To make it easier to bring the teeth together properly, the middle section can be provided with markings or labels. This allows extremely sensitive adjustment if the distance between the teeth of the teeth is small.

In a preferred embodiment of the locking lever, it is preferably provided that an end region of the locking lever, which is located to the side of the middle part, is designed to be dimensionally stable and the opposite end region is designed as a locking tongue. The locking tongue is spring-loaded. In the end position of the locking lever, the free end of the locking tongue engages behind a corresponding projection which is formed on the security note guide.

To lock the locking lever, it is moved in the direction of the teeth of the two gears. To optimize handling, the dimensionally stable end area of the locking lever is designed to have a smooth front surface.

It is further preferably provided that the dimensionally stable end region of the locking lever is designed as an angle, and that in the end position of the locking lever the leg directed towards the locking tongue engages over a tab of the security note guide.

In order to achieve the largest possible adjustment range, it is preferred that two tabs are attached or formed onto the banknote guide, which can be gripped either by the locking tongue or over by the angle. The locking lever can therefore be placed on the banknote guide in two positions, so that the maximum width of the teeth can be utilized.

The security note guide is preferably designed in a known manner as a guide rail that has an angular cross-section. One leg is directed towards the associated wall of the cassette. The locking lever is then located between this wall and the leg that has the guide surface on the outside.

In order to ensure that the banknote guide is precisely positioned, it is preferably provided that a locking lever can be fixed in each of the two end areas of the banknote guide.

In order to ensure that the security note guide is also fixed in the transverse direction, it is also preferably provided that tubular projections are provided on the side facing away from the guide surface, which overlap pins arranged on the wall of the cassette. This essentially creates a telescopic guide. In another embodiment, pins are formed on the security note guide, which engage in holes in the middle part of the locking lever.

The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show:

• 7 a security note guide fixed with two locking levers in a side view.

In the purely schematic, highly simplified 1 and 2 A security note cassette 1 is shown schematically by a rectangle. Two security note guides 2, 3 are mounted inside the security note cassette 1, which are parallel to and at a distance from the corresponding side walls of the cassette. The distances between the guide surfaces 4, 5 and the side walls can be adjusted to the size of the security notes using an adjustment device.

When executing according to the 1 Tabs serving as guide elements 6, 7 are attached to the two walls assigned to the banknote guides 2, 3.

The security of the security note guides 2, 3 is in the 3 to 6 shown in more detail. The 7 shows that each value note guide 2, 3 is secured by two locking levers 10, which will be explained in more detail below and which are fixed in the two lateral end areas of the respective value note guide 2, 3.

As the 3 to 6 show, each security note guide 2, 3 is designed in an angular manner in its basic cross-section and has a leg that is parallel and at a distance from the guide surfaces 4, 5 of the security note guides 2, 3 and a leg that is directed towards the respective wall of the security note cassette. Each security note guide 2, 3 is provided with a toothing 11 on the leg that is directed towards the wall of the security note cassette 1, the teeth of which run parallel and at a distance from the guide surfaces 4, 5.

The locking lever 10 is provided with a central part 12, which is provided with a corresponding toothing on the side facing the toothing 11, so that the teeth of this toothing engage in the tooth gaps of the toothing 11. The toothing 11 formed on the leg of the banknote guide 2, 3 have a larger number of teeth than the teeth formed on the central part 11. It can be seen from the figures that the distances between the guide surfaces 4, 5 can be changed if the teeth of the central part 11 are inserted into other tooth gaps of the toothing 11.

An end region located to the side of the middle part 12 of the locking lever 11 is inherently dimensionally stable and has an angle 13 at the free end, the surface of which is transverse to the guide surfaces 4, 5 and is smooth. The opposite end region of the locking lever 10 is designed as a spring-loaded locking tongue 14. This locking tongue engages in the end position of the locking lever 10 either a tab 15 or a tab 16 (which together each correspond to one of the guide elements 6, 7 of the 1 correspond), since the locking lever 10 can be fixed in two different positions on the banknote guide 2, 3, as a comparison of the 5 with the 6 shows. The locking tongue 14 is provided with a locking lug 17 at the end area, which engages behind the respective tab 15, 16 in the end position of the locking lever 10. This means that the tabs 15, 16 can only engage to different extents in corresponding holes in the side walls of the security note cassette, depending on the arrangement (not shown here).

To fix the locking lever 10, it is first adjusted according to the 3 brought obliquely into the toothing for the corresponding adjustment of the distance between the guide surface 4, 5 and the wall of the banknote cassette 1. As the figures show, the visible surface of the middle part 10 is provided with corresponding numbers and/or symbols. Then the locking lever 10 is moved from the oblique position according to the 4 into a horizontal position. The locking lever 10 is then moved in the direction of the middle area of the security note guide 2, 3. In this end position, the locking tongue 14 engages behind the tab 15 facing the middle area. The security note guide 2, 3 is then fixed.

The 6 shows that the locking lever 10 can also be used in a position different from that shown in the 3 to 5 can be inserted into the gearing 11 in a position rotated by 180°. This allows the adjustment range to be increased.

The invention is not limited to the embodiment shown. It is important that the variable distances of the security note guides 2, 3 from the associated walls of the security note cassette 1 can be varied, preferably by two locking levers arranged in the end areas of the security note guides 2, 3. For this purpose, teeth are formed on the middle part 13 of the locking lever 10, which run parallel and at a distance from the guide surfaces 4, 5 of the security note guides 2, 3 and which can be inserted into the tooth gaps of a toothing 11 in different positions, with the toothing 11 being formed on the leg of the security note guide 2, 3 directed towards the wall.

A security note cassette for self-service devices with a security note guide that can be fitted in the security note cassette, wherein an adjustment device for adjusting the distance between the associated wall of the security note cassette (1) and the guide surface (4, 5) of each security note guide (2, 3) is provided for adjusting to the size of the security notes, wherein the adjustment device has at least one locking lever (10) that can be adjusted at a variable distance from the guide surface (4, 5) of each security note guide (2, 3) or on the security note cassette and can be fixed to the security note guide (2, 3) in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, wherein the locking lever (10) has a central part (12) which is provided with a toothing, the teeth of which run parallel to and at a distance from the guide surface (4, 5) of the security note guide (2, 3) and the teeth of which engage in the tooth gaps of a counter toothing (11) of the security note guide (2, 3); and wherein an end region located laterally next to the central part (12) of the locking lever (11) is designed to be dimensionally stable and the opposite end region of the locking lever (10) is designed as a locking tongue (14). Security cassette according to Claim 1 , characterized in that the number of teeth of the toothing (11) formed on the banknote guide (2, 3) is greater than that of the teeth on the central part (12) of the locking lever (10). Security cassette according to Claim 1 or 2 , characterized in that the dimensionally stable end region of the locking lever (10) has a smooth front surface. Security note cassette according to one of the Claims 1 until 3 , characterized in that the dimensionally stable end region of the locking lever (10) is designed as an angle (13), and that in the end position of the locking lever (10) the leg directed towards the locking tongue (14) engages over a tab (15, 16). Security note cassette according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking lever can be divided into two parts, which are arranged at 180° rotated positions on the security note guide (2, 3). Value note cassette according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the value note guide (2, 3) is designed as a guide rail whose basic cross-section is angular. Value note cassette according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the self-service device is designed as an automated teller machine.
