Erfindungsgemäß weist das Gehäuse des Steckverbinders einen vorderen Teil und einen hinteren Teil auf. An dem vorderen Teil ist das Steckgesicht angeordnet, während in dem vorderen oder dem hinteren Teil die Steckerbuchse angeordnet ist. Der vordere Teil und der hintere Teil sind lösbar miteinander verbindbar. Dies führt dazu, dass der hintere Teil des Gehäuses fest installiert werden kann, während der vordere Teil lösbar an dem hinteren Teil angeordnet werden kann. Der vordere Teil kann verschiedene Varianten an Steckgesichtern aufweisen. Wird im Einsatz ein anderes Steckgesicht benötigt, muss lediglich der vordere Teil mit dem Steckgesicht ausgewechselt werden, während der hintere Teil in seiner ursprünglichen Position, insbesondere fest installiert, verbleiben kann. Dadurch wird einerseits der Herstellungsaufwand verringert, da lediglich mehrere Varianten für den vorderen Teil des Gehäuses hergestellt werden müssen, der hintere Teil jedoch für alle Varianten identisch aufgebaut ist. Bei der Montage ist es nicht mehr nötig, den hinteren Teil von der Wand oder der Anlage zu entfernen, sodass ein Auswechseln des Steckgesichtes einfach dadurch erfolgen kann, dass die lösbare Verbindung zwischen dem vorderen Teil und dem hinteren Teil gelöst wird und der vordere Teil mit einem ersten Steckgesicht gegen einen weiteren vorderen Teil mit einem anderen Steckgesicht ausgewechselt wird.According to the invention, the housing of the connector has a front part and a rear part.
