Description
Verfahren zur Musterung von thermoplastischen Kunststoffbahnen durch Füllen der durch Prägung erhaltenen Vertiefungen mit andersfarbigen Schattiermassen Thermoplastische Kunststoffolien mit oder ohne Trägergewebestoff- od. dgl. Einlage werden mit Hilfe gravierter Walzen geprägt. Eine zweifarbige Musterung erhält man in üblicher Weise dadurch, daß man in die Vertiefungen der Prägung andersfarbige Schattiermassen mit einem Kunststoff gleicher Art als Bindemittel einfüllt, z. B. durch Überstreichen mit einer Rakel, und sodann auf Trocknungstemperatur erwärmt. Man bedient sich dabei in Lösung vorliegender Schattiermassen, damit bei der zur Trocknung notwendigen Temperatur, die stets unter dem Erweichungspunkt der Beschickung liegt, eine Verzerrung des Narbbildes nicht erfolgt. Überraschenderweise wurde festgestellt, daß bei Auffüllen der Vertiefungen mit gelierbarer Kunststoff-Weichmacher-Dispersion, wobei für die Folie und als Bindemittel Kunststoffe gleicher Art verwendet werden, und nachfolgendem Erhitzen nahe an den Schmelztemperaturbereich des Kuststoffs eine Veränderung des Narbbildes derart auftritt, daß die ursprünglichen Vertiefungen nunmehr als Erhöhungen erscheinen. Die Schattiermassen treten also erhaben hervor.
