Abstract

Wastes are mixed, sterilized and formed into a feedstock for digestion. Following this, the residues are pressed, de-watered and sent to combustion in a furnace. The furnace additionally burns the biogas from digestion. Biogas is also fed to a packaged generation plant, to produce heat and electricity. Thickened sludge is stripped of ammonia before further processing as described. It is recycled with recovered water. The liquid phase is also purified by reverse osmosis.

Description

The recent ban on animal meal feeding has changed Use and disposal procedures for existing and emerging animal meal, in particular especially under hygiene requirements.

The process described below relates to a process chain from the two centra len process stages of biogas production (fermentation) and incineration plants.

For this purpose, hygienized (e.g. 133 ° C, 3 bar) animal pulp in a biogas production plant in different quantities introduced and fermented together with different admixtures sewage sludge. The resulting raw biogas can then be converted into energy (electr. and therm.) but can also be converted into fuel via subsequent cleaning. The remaining digestate is separated and the dry matter pressed out of a cremation supply system and burned.

The extracted digestate water is contaminated with ammonia and is stripped freed from a high proportion of ammonia and returned to the process as circulating water guided. The necessary amount of balancing liquid is obtained by adding fresh clarifier sludge reached via a partial flow.

Instead of sewage sludge, other processed liquid carriers such as. B. blood meal be used.

The biogas resulting from fermentation can be used as an energy source to burn the Fermentation residues can also be used within the stripping process until they evaporate.
