B. die p-Oxyzimtsäure bzw. ihr Methyläther und dessen Derivate wegen ihrer nahen Verwandtschaft zu Tyrosin als Lichtschutzmittel; sie werden auch bereits hierzu verwendet, ohne daß allerdings diese Zusammenhänge erkannt worden sind.
