Description

Process for the production of shades for lights from translucent Sheets of paper There are known shades for lights, which consist of layers of translucent Sheets of paper are glued together by hand over a form. the Solutions of synthetic resins previously used to bond the individual layers are unfavorable because the volatile solvents are detrimental to health of the workers. Although water-soluble adhesives are also used, however, synthetic resin adhesives with volatile solvents are harder and less sensitive to water Umbrellas being water-soluble adhesives. The method according to the invention combined now the advantages of using synthetic resin adhesives with aqueous, and volatile Solvents while avoiding their disadvantages. It is that the Sheets of paper formed into a screen by means of a dispersion of fine synthetic resin powder are glued together in water - with a small part of the powder in solution goes and causes the gluing - and that the paper sheets then dried and coated with a volatile resin solvent by spraying or dipping or be soaked. Damage to health is easily known Precautions, e.g. B. by working in the fume cupboard. The volatile solvent translucent or transparent synthetic resins can also be added, if you want to achieve a resin top layer on the umbrellas. The solvent penetrates into the screen and dissolve the resin particles left over from the aqueous dispersion so that a resin solution is created that is uniformly penetrating the entire length of the boat, after evaporation of the solvent, e.g. B. under a fume cupboard, becomes solid. If resin is dissolved in the solvent, a will appear on the screen surface Resin skin that is inextricably linked to the screen.
