V současné době je jako pojivo pro 3D tisk, především pro materiály ze skupiny termoplastů, styrenů nebo akrylátů a dalších vhodných plastů, používána řada pojivových materiálů, sloučenin, kdy ovšem tyto jsou ve velké většině toxické, polymerují v hlavě tiskárny, což vyžaduje časté čištění hlavy tiskárny a zároveň možné výpary jsou nebezpečné pro zdraví obsluhy. Výše uvedené nedostatky do značné míry odstraňuje pojivový materiál podle tohoto vynálezu, kdy zdraví škodlivé látky jsou nahrazeny polygrafickým inkoustem jako pojivá pro 3D tisk, což můžou být solventní inkousty, ekosolventní inkousty, UV vytvrditelné inkousty a další všeobecně známé a dostupné polygrafické inkousty. S výhodou je možno používat inkousty různě barevné, kdy dosáhneme různé barevnosti výrobků zhotovených 3D tiskem.
