Abstract

The invention refers to the apparatus for reinforcement of the sole portion of the foot of a knitwear product manufactured in a circular knitting machine which produces hosiery articles. The machine is provided with needle heels 2, 3 which are divided into two groups, one short and the other long. In the knitting system, there is a knotting cam 1 opposite the knotting edge 5 of all the heels 2, 3 of the needles 4 that is provided at the knotting edge 6 only for the long heels 3 of the needle 4.
