Abstract

Περιγράφεται αντικείμενο (10) (π.χ. χαρτονόμισμα ή επιταγή) που φέρει πρωτεύον αναγνωριστικό. Το πρωτεύον αναγνωριστικό έχει τη μορφή πλήθους στοιχείων αναγνώρισης (20) ενσωματωμένων μέσα στο αντικείμενο (10), με τα στοιχεία αναγνώρισης (20) να είναι ορατά ανιχνεύσιμα όταν φωτίζονται μέσω υπέρυθρης ή υπεριώδους ηλεκτρομαγνητικής ακτινοβολίας αλλά όντας οπτικά δυσδιάκριτα από το υπόλοιπο του αντικειμένου (10) όταν φωτίζονται με ορατό φως. Τα στοιχεία αναγνώρισης (20) είναι τυχαία κατανεμημένα έτσι ώστε οι θέσεις των στοιχείων αναγνώρισης (20) να είναι μοναδικές για το αντικείμενο (10), ενώ το αντικείμενο (10) έχει σημείο αναφοράς με την μορφή εκτυπωμένου συμβόλου (30) που ορίζει περιοχή του αντικειμένου (10) στην οποία παρέχονται τουλάχιστον κάποια στοιχεία αναγνώρισης (20).
