Abstract
Se obtuvo una nueva composición para el aislamiento selectivo e identificación simultánea de especies de hongos, en especial del género Candida. La composición incluye sustratos cromogénicos y fluorogénicos específicos para detectar la actividad enzimática de las hexosaminidasas, glucosidasas, fosfolipasas y aminopeptidasas presentes en las especies del género Candida y posibilita la diferenciación de otras especies por la inclusión de sustancias que permiten la detección de actividad proteolítica. Con la composición se logra el aislamiento y la identificación simultánea de las especies de Candida de interés clínico en sólo 48 horas y la inhibición de especies de bacterias Gram-positivas y Gram-negativas.A new composition was obtained for the selective isolation and simultaneous identification of fungal species, especially of the genus Candida. The composition includes specific chromogenic and fluorogenic substrates to detect the enzymatic activity of hexosaminidases, glucosidases, phospholipases and aminopeptidases present in the species of the genus Candida and enables the differentiation of other species by the inclusion of substances that allow the detection of proteolytic activity. With the composition the isolation and simultaneous identification of the Candida species of clinical interest are achieved in just 48 hours and the inhibition of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria species.
