Ponorný hydrant obsahuje uzavřený válec, ve kterém je zabudována posuvná tyč s cent-rálním podélným vrtem, která je na konci vybavena plným pístem, na jehož plástovém povrchuje vyveden kruhový kanál, střed radiálního vrtu je spojen s centrálním vrtem tyče, přičemžje na horním konci uzavřeného válce spojen s přípojkou vodovodního vedení k ponorné tyčia na spodním konci je vodovodní vedení spojeno s rozdélovacím zařízením postřiku, vyznačujícíse tím, že na horním konci válce /1/ pomocí vrtu /2/ přípojky vodovodní sítě /3/ k vtahováníponorné tyče /4/ jsou ve dvou rovinách vyvedeny radiální vrty, které jsou z vnějŠí 'stranyodděleny pevnými kruhovými pouzdry /7/, které tvoří kruhovou komoru /8/, jež je spojenavždy s horní a dolní rovinou vrtů /5, 6/, jejichž osy probíhají koaxiálně ke kruhovémukanálu/9/píatu/10/.
