Abstract

Aquí se describen dispositivos y métodos para la reparación de la válvula mitral. Los dispositivos y métodos implantan una pluralidad de anclajes distales en un anillo de la válvula mitral (por ejemplo, el anillo posterior) y tensan cuerdas artificiales para tirar de la porción del anillo hacia un borde opuesto y hacia adentro del ventrículo. Esto puede reducir efectivamente el tamaño del orificio y aumentar la coaptación.
