Abstract
Se proporcionan métodos para el tratamiento y prevención de la otitis externa con un curso de tratamiento que consiste de tan poco como una sola dosis. Los métodos se practican mediante la administración tópica de las composiciones que tienen un portador de lípidos, tal como liposomas y lípidos no vesiculares, al canal auditivo externo. Estas composiciones carecen de celulosas o adhesivos que intensifican la viscosidad, y de preferencia no están en forma de gel. Los agentes activos útiles para el tratamiento de dolor, inflamación, infestación fungal o parasitaria y/o en el oído externo se co-administran en la composición o con la misma.
