Abstract

La presente invención se orienta a métodos y aparatos para la generación de una emulsión con estabilidad mejorada. Los métodos incluyen la formación de un fluido de emulsión fatigada utilizando un mezclador con alto nivel de cizallamiento y el sometimiento a esfuerzo la emulsión mediante el flujo de microporos, el envejecimiento, el calentamiento, u otro proceso, y sometiendo nuevamente a cizalla el fluido de la emulsión fatigada. El proceso se podría repetir para lograr la estabilidad mejorada. En algunas realizaciones la emulsión generada se podría utilizar en operaciones de recuperación de hidrocarburos. De manera opcional, la emulsión podría incluir surfactantes o micropartículas sólidas para mejoramiento adicional de la estabilidad.
