Abstract

Un material laminado para ser usado como una lámina de cubierta para artículos absorbentes tales como toallas sanitarias, protector de incontinencia, un pañal o similares con una extensión planar, una dirección de longitud, una dirección de ancho, y una dirección de espesor y exhibe un eje central que se extiende en la dirección de longitud y dos bordes laterales, opuestos que se extienden en la dirección de longitud y comprende, en la dirección del espesor, una primera capa de material fibroso permeable a los fluidos y una segunda capa de material poroso permeable a los fluidos en donde por lo menos una de las capas de material comprende material termoplástico y en donde las dos capas de material están conectadas mutuamente por medio del laminado del material de cubierta exhibiendo sitios de pegado dentro de los cuales el material termoplástico se ha hecho que parcialmente se ablande o se funda y por lo tanto pegue las dos capas de material juntas caracterizado en que el material laminado, la extensión planar, exhibe adicionalmente dos porciones laterales que se extienden en la dirección longitudinal y cada una se extiende una distancia en la dirección transversal desde un borde lateral respectivo hacia el eje central longitudinal del material laminado y una porción central posicionada entre las porciones laterales en la extensión planar del material laminado en donde la primera capa de material y la segunda capa de material en la porción central del material laminado son pegadas intermitentemente juntas en un primer patrón de pegado y la primera capa de material y la segunda capa de material en las dos porciones laterales del material laminado están pegadas juntas de manera intermitente en un segundo patrón de pegado, en donde el porcentaje del área de pegado en relación con el área total de las dos porciones laterales es mayor que el porcentaje de área pegada en relación con el área total de la porción central.
