Abstract

Una unidad de estimación de retardo que consta de: medios para generar valores de correlación que corresponden a una pluralidad de valores de retardo; medios para producir un primer estimado de retardo que utiliza un valor de retardo asociado con el valor de correlación más grande; medios para procesar los valores de correlación modificando por o menos un valor de correlación para producir valores de correlación; medios para computar el valor de correlación procesado más grande; y medios para producir un segundo estimado de retardo utilizando un retardo asociado con el valor de correlación procesado más grande. 1Una unidad de estimación de retardo que consta de: medios para producir un conjunto de estimados de retardo; medios para generar valores de correlación que corresponden a una pluralidad de valores de retardo; medios para procesar los valores de correlación modificando los valores de correlación de acuerdo con el conjunto de estimados de retardo para producir valores de correlación procesada; y medios para refinar los estimados de retardo utilizando los valores de correlación procesada. 2Un método para estimar por lo menos un retardo, que consta de los siguientes pasos: generar valores de correlación en una pluralidad de retardos; producir una pluralidad de conjuntos de estimado de retardo candidato;calcular la métrica asociada con cada conjunto de estimado de retardo candidato para producir resultados de cálculo; seleccionar uno de los resultados del cálculo; yproducir una pluralidad de estimados de retardo utilizando el conjunto de estimado de retardo candidato que corresponda a los resultados de cálculo seleccionados.
