Description
本发明涉及一种新颖的处理金属表面用的液态组合物。具体地讲,本发明涉及一种金属表面的处理剂,它是由含氯氟烃溶剂、铬酸酐,增溶剂,反应促进剂等所组成的溶液,该溶液还具有同时去除油污和铬酸盐处理剂(镀铬)效果。
已知的单一溶液金属表面处理剂是由有机溶剂、铬酸盐处理剂或磷酸和铬酸盐处理剂、增溶剂,稳定剂和/或反应促进剂所组成,其具有同时去除油污和表面处理的效果。
借助于增溶剂如醇和/或表面活性剂将表面处理剂溶于作为去油污剂的有机溶剂内与其它添加剂组成上述制剂。以氯化烃、氟氯烃、醇类等作为溶剂。
日本公布的专利No3363/67(Du Pont),No5288/65(Du Pont),日本早期公开专利No62970/81(Tokuyama Soda)等,披露的那些处理剂含有氯烃溶剂和铬酸盐处理剂;而日本早期公开专利No97476/80(Nippon Paint),No112479/80(Nippon Paint),和No139679/81(Nippon Paint)公布的成份含有磷酸和铬酸。
这些已知的使用氯烃溶剂的处理剂是易于分解的,其分解导致处理槽的不稳定,已处理的另件缺乏抗蚀性和设备受到腐蚀等。因此当使用这些溶剂时,为了防止其分解,通常加入几种类型的稳定剂。然而,这些稳定剂与铬酸起反应并且消弱了它的效力,而处理溶液的分解和性能下降的结果则使设备受到腐蚀并使经过处理的另件抗蚀性能下降。在这种情况下,实际上目前已不用氯烃溶剂作铬酸盐处理(镀铬)的成分。
上面提到的日本早期公开专利申请,公布的成分含有氯烃溶剂。然而,在所公布的成分中有作表面制备用的加有铬酸的磷酸盐处理液。磷酸盐处理液中含有少量的铬酸,它仅是磷酸处理液的附助剂。
为了消除上述无水铬酸盐处理剂的缺点,我们进行了深入的研究,通过将有机羧酸加到含氯氟烃溶剂中,我们得到了一种非常稳定的实质上无水的铬酸盐处理液组合物。其生产的铬膜具有非常好的抗蚀性和高的镀层量。
本发明涉及一种金属表面处理用的液状组合物,它由含氯氟烃、铬酸酐、增溶剂和有机羧酸所组成。
本发明提供一种金属表面处理用的液状组合物,其含有100份含氯氟烃溶剂(以重量计);0.01至10份铬酸酐(以重量计);0.001至0.1份具有1至20个碳原子的有机羧酸(以重量计),和醇类增溶剂,醇的碳原子数为3至20。
用在本发明中的含氯氟烃溶剂含有1或2个碳、氟和氯原子,而没有氢原子,优先选用三氯一氟甲烷,二氯四氟乙烷、三氯三氟乙烷、四氯二氟乙烷及其混合物。在选择含氯氟烃溶剂时,重要的因素是,它必须很容易和其它的成分混溶,组成一均质溶液,该溶液能在铬酸盐以有效速率进行反应的温度时,以液体方式存在。
本发明中所使用的铬酸酐是三氧化铬,即分子式为CrO3的化合物。上述加到含氯氟烃中铬酸酐的量为0.01至10份(以重量计),优先选用的量为0.5至5份,最好的加入量为0.5至3份,均以100份上述溶剂的重量为基准。所用铬酸酐的重量低于0.01份时,铬酸盐反应太慢;以重量计的铬酸酐含量超过10份时,则铬酸盐处理槽中的溶剂分解明显,会生不成正常的铬膜,且产生的镀层的抗蚀性变差。
本发明所用的增溶剂是具有3至20个碳原子的仲醇或叔醇,它可溶解在上述的含氯氟烃溶剂中。通常,仲丙醇、叔丁醇、叔戊醇、三苯基甲醇等都适用。其中,最好的是叔丁醇(其次是特-丁醇),因为它可均匀地溶解全部成份,使所用组份长时间稳定,且价格低廉。所用增溶剂的数量,在每100份含氯氟烃熔剂中至少使用1份(以重量计),也可使用20份或更多的量。使用大量的增溶剂能使大量的铬酸酐溶解。当增溶剂的用量小于1份时,增溶能力不够,使物料不能均匀溶解完全。用量超过20份时,其成份取决于使用的条件而有可能变得易于燃烧。因此,其含量最好限定不超过比值。
本发明中的反应促进剂是具有1至20个碳原子可溶于上述组份混合物的有机羧酸。羧酸的通式为R-(COOH)n,其中R是一直链,支链,环状,或可取代的芳香族烃基基团。其中n最好为1至3。优先选用的有机酸实例是蚁酸、醋酸、丁酸、乳酸、硬脂酸、草酸、富马酸、马来酸、萍果酸、酞酸等。
优先选用的羧酸加入量为0.001至0.1份,最好是0.005至0.05份(均以重量计)。羧酸用量小于0.001份时,反应促进作用不明显甚至不起作用,用量超过0.1份时(均以重量计)酸显示出腐蚀作用,并且溶解已形成的铬膜,阻止了保护膜的生成,因而使抗蚀性变差。
曾以氟化氢作反应促进剂,然而,在本发明的组分中氟化氢未明显地显示出反应促进活性,而却对需处理的另件和设备产生腐蚀作用。因此该物质不宜使用,如必须使用它时则应格外小心。
在上面规定的范围内,按各自所要求的数量,混合上述的基本成份-含氯氟烃溶剂、铬酸酐、增溶剂和反应促进剂,构成一均匀的溶液,它即为本发明处理用的液态组成物。作为去油污剂的含氯氟烃溶剂,还具有使组合物不燃烧的功能,而增溶剂可基本上使所有的组份均匀溶解。水能和其它的组分均匀混合,促进了铬酸酐的溶解,并且加速了铬酸盐处理(镀铬)反应。铬酸盐处理液态组合物必须是一均匀的溶液,溶液中所有的成份需均匀溶解。换言之,不形成均匀的镀膜,就不足以产生抗蚀作用。
本发明的液态组合物能应用在铁、钢、铝、锌、锡和以结合状态存在的这些金属上。对锌、铝和这些结合状态的金属特别有效。“结合”二字,指的是这些金属的二种复合物或合金。
本发明的金属表面处理液态组合物能够在室温下长期存放。
使用本发明的金属处理液态组合物时,需保持它的温度在5℃至其沸腾温度之间,与它接触1秒至60分钟时,金属材料的表面即得到处理,优先选用的接触时间是30秒至5分钟。处理后,干燥金属材料的表面。如果处理用液态组合物的温度低于5℃,铬酸盐处理反应实际上不进行。如果接触时间短于1秒,则得不到有效的镀层。接触的时间如超过60分钟,则镀膜不均匀,而且从产率的观点来看也是不合适的。金属材料接受处理前最好予先去油清洁,因为在用铬酸盐处理时,本发明的处理液态组成物只能去除有限量的润滑脂。
上述发明的主要优点是不需要稳定剂,这种稳定剂在以氯化烃是主要成份的传统金属表面处理组合物中是基本成份之一,本发明还使镀层上铬的量明显增加,并保持了传统金属表面处理组合物的优点。
下述实施例和对照实例进一步解释了发明。在这些实例中,以下述方法测定处理液态组合物的稳定性和已处理另件上的铬膜镀层的量。
处理液态组合物的稳定性测定:
在一容器内装入定量的处理液态组合物,加入水,充分搅动混合物后使其静置。将碘化钾溶液、醋酸和淀粉溶液加入到分离的上层液中(水相),并搅拌。然后将水在黑暗处保持五分钟,测定兰色的发展。无兰色出现则标志未分解。这是一种测定氯化烃和氯氟化烃分解的常用方法。
铬酸盐膜的涂层量(以铬计):
以X-射线萤光分析仪(Pitchford公司制造)测定。测定未处理材料的铬含量。从测定量中减去空白试验的值。
对照实施例1
均匀溶解15份特丁醇和2份铬酸酐在100份三氯三氟乙烷中,制得一处理液态组合物。加热该溶液至沸腾将试验板浸入其中反应。测定处理过的板上的铬镀层量,用盐喷雾试验(JISZ 2371)测定它的抗蚀性。试验板是长方形的冷轧钢片(规格为50×70×0.8mm),它的表面电镀了锌,厚度为8μm。结果见表1。
对照实施例2
在处理液态组合物中加入0.01份氟化氢,重复对照例1的过程。表1示出了结果。铬膜镀层量仅有少量增加。
对照实施例3
以相同的方法测定商品试验板的铬膜镀层量和在盐喷雾试验中的抗蚀性,这种板电镀锌厚度为8μm,且用已知铬酸盐水溶液处理过。表1示出结果。
对照实施例4
均匀溶解15份叔丁醇,2份铬酸酐,0.005份氟化锌和1份对苯醌于100份二氯甲烷中,制得一处理液态组合物。溶液沸腾24小时,测定溶液的稳定性。溶液显深兰色,由于亚甲基氯的分解,有氯释出。
实施例1
均匀溶介15份叔丁醇,2份铬酸酐和0.01份草酸在100份三氯三氟乙烷中,制得一处理液。加热溶液至沸点,将试验板浸在其中反应。测定镀层上铬的量和在盐喷雾试验中的抗蚀性。试验板是冷轧钢片,规格为长方形50×70×0.8mm,表面电镀锌,厚度为8μm。表1示出了其结果。
与对照例1比较,在同样条件下镀层上铬的量相对于铬酸盐水溶液处理的镀层上铬的量有明显增加,且处理过另件的抗蚀性非常令人满意。
实施例2
加入0.005份草酸重复实施例1的过程,表1示出所得的结果,铬膜镀层量增加。
实施例3
以0.01份富马酸代替草酸重复实施例1的过程,表1示出所得的结果。铬膜镀层量和抗蚀性都有提高。
实施例4
用0.05份富马酸,在40℃重复实施例3的过程。表1示出所得的结果。
实施例5
用0.5份铬酸酐重复例3的过程。表1示出所得的结果。
实施例6
用0.01份蚁酸,在10℃重复实施例1的过程,表1示出所得的结果。
实施例7
用异丙醇代替叔丁醇并用醋酸代替草酸重复实施例1的过程,表1示出了所得的结果。
实施例8
用叔戊醇代替叔丁醇并用0.01份丁酸代替草酸重复实施例1过程,表1示出了所得的结果。
实施例9
用0.01份乳酸代替草酸重复实施例1过程,表1示出了所得的结果。
实施例10
用0.01份硬脂酸代替草酸重复实施例1过程,表1示出了所得的结果。
从上述实例可看出,以本发明的金属表面处理液态组合物处理金属材料时,与用传统的含氯氟烃溶剂的溶液在没有反应促进剂下处理的金属材料相比较,其铬膜镀层量明显增加,并且提高了抗蚀性。显然,前述反应促进剂-氟化氢,不是经常具有好的效果。此外,与传统的以铬酸盐水溶液系统镀铬的商业电镀锌板相比较,铬膜镀层量在同一水平上,铬膜是牢固的,抗蚀性更高或相同。
实施例11
按实施例1的过程处理冷轧钢片和铝片(1080)制成的板,将其结果与未处理的板作比较。表2示出了其结果。

从以上描述可明显看出,处理液态组合物用在各种金属例如:铁、铝等上都是有效的,且明显地提高了抗蚀性。
用四氯二氟乙烷和三氯一氟甲烷代替三氯三氟乙烷时,基本上得到相同的结果。
以上的实施仅说明发明的目的,并不限定本发明。
Claims (7)
1、用于处理金属表面的一种液态组合物,其特征在于该组合物包括100份(以重量计)的不超过2个碳、氟和氯原子,没有氢原子的含氯氟烃溶剂,0.01至10份(以重量计)铬酸酐,0.001至0.1份(以重量计)有机羧酸,其含有1至20个碳原子,通常用分子式R(COOH)n来表示,其中R是一直链,支链或环状的烃基基团,其可被取代,n是1至3的整数;和一含有3至20个碳原子的醇增溶剂。
2、按照权项1所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于含有具有1至20个碳原子的有机羧酸,以通式R(COOH)n代表,其中R是一烷基、亚烷基和含有高至18个碳原子链烯基基团,n是1或2。
3、按照权项2所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于含氯氟烃溶剂是从三氯三氟乙烷,二氯四氟乙烷、四氯二氟乙烷、三氯一氟甲烷和它们的混合物中选择的。
4、按照权项3所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于有机羧酸是从蚁酸、醋酸、丁酸、乳酸、草酸、富马酸、马来酸、萍果酸和硬脂酸中选择。
5、按照权项4所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于醇增溶剂是从异丙醇、特丁醇、叔戊醇和三苯甲醇中选择。
6、按照权项1所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于它是由0.5至5份(以重量计)铬酸酐;1至20份(以重量计)醇增溶剂;0.001至0.1份有机羧酸(以重量计);100份含氯氟烃溶剂(以重量计)所组成。
7、按照权项6所述的处理金属表面的液态组合物,其特征在于它是由1至20份(以重量计)醇增溶剂;0.005至0.05份(以重量计)有机羧酸;100份(以重量计)含氯氟烃溶剂所组成。
