As a result, the electrical contact surface 353 of the IC chip 351 is in contact with the electrical contact 93 . The control unit of the image forming apparatus 100 acquires necessary information from the IC chip 351 via the electrical contact surface 353 that is in contact with the electrical contact 93 .

Furthermore, for example, it is possible to suppress the problem that the electric contact surface 353 contacts the outside and is damaged due to expansion and contraction of the coil spring 363 during shipment of the process cartridge 1 .

The contact surface 55 has a first inclined surface 551 and a second inclined surface 552 , has a triangular shape when viewed from the first direction, and protrudes toward the rod facing in the third direction. When the accessory cover 50 is assembled to the process cartridge 1 , the second coupling cover portion 522 covers the reset gear 341 . The contact surface 55 of the second coupling cover portion 522 presses the lever instead of the protrusion 343 of the reset gear 341 . The function of the contact surface 55 will be described in detail later.
