在居住建筑结构中，为了能够阻止夏天太阳光对室内的照射。人们采取了安装外遮阳系统，分固定外遮阳和活动外遮阳，目前广泛使用的是活动外遮阳，包括室外百叶、室外卷帘和曲臂或摆臂遮阳棚。这是用物理的方式阻隔太阳辐射热和太阳光线通过建筑外围护进入室内，夏天需要遮阳时放下，不让阳光进入室内，冬天则拉上，让阳光进入室内，节能效果明显。
另外，居住建筑的窗及阳台的防盗普遍采用加装防盗栅栏。
既有的许多建筑外窗没有设置室外窗帘的装置和防盗栅栏，所以用户必须另外加装一套室外窗帘和一套防盗栅栏才能满足节能和防盗的需求，这就造成重复施工，增加了施工成本。
现在对既有建筑窗的改造不仅要求节能和防盗，还要求建筑外立面美观，这就必须将外遮阳机构和防盗栅栏嵌装在窗洞内。但是，目前大多数既有建筑窗台的室外尺寸很小，无法安装一套室外窗帘和一套防盗栅栏。

本实用新型的目的在于克服现有技术存在的上述不足，提供了一种防盗外遮阳软卷帘窗，它将外遮阳机构和防盗栅栏一体化，结构超薄便于安装，并且造价低、使用寿命长。
