Abstract
照相机、收音机、电视机、机顶盒(118)、厨房用电器和其它电气设备都有它们各自的IP地址,用一个因特网工作协议通信联络。特别值得注意的是那些使用某种形式的大容量存储器的设备。元件之间或元件之中的信息包通信可以用任何适当的信息包交换网络(或者网络的组合)进行,其中包括因特网(142)。信息包通信的优选协议是IP,元件之间的信息包通信可方便地通过以IP虚拟化一条本机总线(120)而得以实现。我们尤其预计到本发明元件在设备机壳之外可以分离,距离可以相隔若干米甚至更远。通信联络可以采用硬连线方式,或者亦可包含无线传送方式。我们也预计可以设计允许对传统设备以其自己的IP地址寻址的转换器。

发明的领域
本发明的领域为具有人机接口的电气设备,其中尤其包括照相机、收音机、电视机、电话、厨房用电器等等。
发明的背景
音响系统早就包括具有各自独立外壳的单独组成部份。自从上一世纪五十年代起,一套组合立体声系统就很可能包括调谐器、放大器、磁带录放音机、以及某种旋转媒介播放装置。高端的视频系统长期以来也早就“组合化”了,一套组合视频系统可以包括一台电视机,以及与电视机相连的VCR机或者DVD机,以及一台个人视频摄像机,即PVR。
无论是模拟式的还是数字式的,传统上(即在本发明之前)这些组件之间的通信都由原始的点到点数据流构成。例如一个扬声器只接受一台放大器的模拟信号。该项信息被假定为可靠的,并无错误校验、重新传送信息等类情况。甚至连DVD播放机也通过其本机总线延长线传送原始数据。
原始数据传送的正常工作,要求遵循严格的标准,部件的实际位置相距不宜过远,所连接的组件数量不宜过多。此外,以原始数据传送进行通信联络的组件只有在设计成能相互对话的情况下才能彼此兼容。因此,一台传统的视频摄像机必须设计为能输出标准的视频信号或者其它信号,才能为一台电视机所理解。同样,较老式的个人电脑设计永远以RS-232标准(串行端口)或者Centronics标准(并行端口)向打印机输出数据,因为这些是打印机所能理解的通信标准。
目前的趋势是使用信息包在组件(在本发明中又称设备〔devices〕)之间通信联络。除了所传送的数据外,信息包还包括标头信息(例如信息包所包含数据的类型,即HTML、声频、ASCII等)、以及始发源节点与目的地终止节点的信息。标头信息允许我们进行错误校验,并且允许距离相距甚远的设备经由因特网这样的信息包交换网络通信联络的路由选择。标头信息还允许完全不相干的设备相互通信联络,例如让时钟收音两用机与计算机相互通信联络。最近发表的美国专利申请第20020031086号(Welin,2002年3月14日)谈到“计算机、因特网电话、会说话的玩具、家用电器,例如冰箱、微波炉、面包烘烤机、饮料搅拌机、电动咖啡壶、洗衣机、烘干机、电动扫地机、恒温控制器、电灯开关、电灯、风扇、窗帘与遮阳窗帘控制电机、保安监护设备、防盗动作监视器、时钟、收音机、网络视频摄像机、电视机、数码电话留言机、空调机、取暖与热水锅炉、中央空调设备”等等之间的连接。
有趣的是,信息包相互连接性能这个想法在此前从未被应用到一个设备内部的各个元件的级别之上。在现有技术的设备中,所有信息包的寻址均在两个设备之间或者若干个设备之间进行,而不是在某个设备内部的两个元件之间或者若干个元件之间进行。
在本专利的描述中,“元件”这个术语指作为设备功能部份的一个硬件单位,在传统意义上,这个单位并无自身的IP地址,需要通过总线与同一设备的其它单位通信联络。当设备的元件以数字方式通信联络时,它们在典型的情况下〔但并非必定如此〕置于同一个外壳之内,由同一个操作系统进行控制。例如在图1A所示的传统组件个人视频录象机(PVR)10中,人机接口11、调谐器12、存储装置13(存储器)、和视频解码器14都通过存储器总线15通信联络,而且都安装在同一个外壳16之内。调谐器用数据流或者数据块与存储器对话,而不是数据包。同样,在一台传统的已启动电话功能的掌上电脑(PDA)〔图中未显示〕中,电话芯片通过存储器总线与存储器芯片和CPU〔中央处理机〕通信联络。电话芯片用数据流或者数据块与CPU对话,而不是用信息包。
从历史上看,在本机总线上用数据流或者数据块来对同一组件的各个元件进行相互连接是有道理的。实际上使用同一个外壳的元件按原来的设计就是在一起共同工作的,它们之间在空间上相互邻近,而且从数量上看也为数不多。人们假定经由总线的传送是可靠的,而且速度是当时人们的首要考虑。每个元件可以很方便地监测总线,从中取出其所需要的任何数据。我们并无必要加重设备的负担,令其承担起制作数据包,并按各不相同的、元件特有的地址对每个元件单独寻址的任务。
在过去,不同设备的元件可以用信息包进行相互对话,但只能间接对话,因为元件并没有自己的IP地址。例如,我们已经知道一个计算机的磁盘驱动器这样的始发源元件可以从计算机本机总线向计算机的IP信息包制作元件送出一个数据流或者一系列数据块,由该元件制作成为信息包,然后发送给第二台计算机的磁盘驱动器。但是在此种情况下,第二台计算机必须把信息包回译成为由一系列数据块构成的数据流,然后沿其本机总线传送给接受元件(接受元件可以是另一个磁盘驱动器、显示屏幕、或者任何其它元件)。信息包永远传送到或者传送自设备之上,在元件之间只能间接传送。始发元件和接受元件从不运用信息包中的地址相互直接寻址。
现有技术的一项重大缺点是不运用信息包的元件之间的通信联络永远要通过某种操作系统。对价格相对低廉的一些设备来说,操作系统的成本可以相当可观,甚至远远超出了其力所能及的范围。整整一代“因特网准备就绪”或者“网络启动”电器设备就具有此类缺点。在这些设备中,现有技术的解决方案是让这些电器设备向一台计算机送出一个信息包,由计算机将其存储起来,或者进行其它处理。这就要用计算机上的一个操作系统,或者是一台本地计算机,或者是因特网上远程连接的计算机。例如可参看“Scenix首创内嵌用于因特网连接的TCP/IP芯片”〔计算机协议杂志第12卷第11期,11/01/1999〕所描述的Scenix SX-堆栈;“Zilog的Z80在因特网电器时代的新生”〔计算机报国际杂志第3751期,9/21/99〕中所描述的Zilog eZ280;和“为小型电器提供网络连接在功能上小型化的内嵌网络服务器”〔国际电工协会通信杂志,第39卷第10期,2001年10月〕。
现有技术的另一项结果是在选择设备所包括的元件方面的灵活性颇受限制。在图1A所示的PVR〔个人视频录象机〕被局限于只能使用按设计者设计与该设备配合使用的一个或若干个存储元件。如果PVR的设计是与硬盘驱动器〔HDD〕配套使用的,则使用者就无法用一台可改写光盘只读存储器与其配套使用。同样,一台电视摄像机也只能局限于跟支持其总线和操作系统的磁盘驱动器配套使用。
现有技术的还有一个结果是在设备元件分离上的灵活性受到限制。在图1A所示的视频摄像机中,存储元件置于摄像机本身之内(尽管存储媒介本身可以从摄像机上取下),因为存储元件与本机总线直接连接。如果使用者想增加存储量,他或者是必须购买一张容量更大的存储卡,或者将摄像机与一台计算机的总线相连接。摄像机不能直接使用放置在房间里的另外一台存储设备。就电视机机顶盒而言,调谐器与电缆电视解码器元件必须置于十分邻近电视机的地方。
因此,目前存在着改进电气设备各个元件之间相互通信联络的设备、系统、方法以及协议的需要。
发明概述
发明的主题是提供具有自身IP地址,能通过用这些IP地址寻址的信息包通信联络的元件。各个元件可以与其它元件一起安装在一个共同的外壳之内,也可以作为虚拟设备的一部份,以分离的方式使用。
发明者所设想的设备包括几乎所有以新颖方式与外部世界进行电子通信联络的设备,其中包括数字静态照相机、收音机、电视机、机顶盒、电话、以及厨房用家电,以及计算机和个人数字助理。特别值得一提的是那些使用某种形式大容量存储器的设备,和一些具有人机接口的设备,例如键盘、显示屏幕、音频输入和输出,或者以上设备的组合。
两个或者若干个元件之间的信息包通信联络可以通过使用任何信息包交换网络(或者网络组合)进行,其中包括因特网。通信信息包的优选协议是IP,元件之间的信息包通信可以方便地用IP令一个本机总线虚拟化而得到实现。
我们特别预计到本发明的元件可以分离并置于设备外壳之外,距离相隔几米或者几米以上。通信联络可以是硬连线,或者是包括无线方式。
元件的寻址可通过代理服务器间接进行,但其构思依然是每个发明的元件有其自身的独特地址。在所设想的实施例中,发明的各个元件之间可方便地用对等网络通信联络,在某些情况下不需要操作系统。
本发明主题的还有一个方面是电气设备用于彼此通信联络的设备、系统、方法和协议采用对元件单独寻址的信息包。例如,一个适配器可以包括一项可以允许非网络启动元件执行因特网工作协议,并以其自身IP地址进行寻址的功能(硬件、软件或者两者的某种方式的结合)。预计此类适配器能允许传统元件以自身的IP地址进行寻址。
随着以下本发明的优选实施例的详尽描述以及所附的插图,本发明的各项目的、特点、方面和优点将变得更为明显。

详细描述
在图1B中,虚拟组件个人视频录象机20是一个电气设备(电气设备在本专利中使用时包括电子设备),该设备通常包括一个人机接口21、一个调谐元件22、一个存储元件23、和一个视频解码元件24,所有这些元件均通过IP以网络方式或者虚拟本机总线20的方式连接。
在此种配置中,例如调谐元件22向存储元件23传送信息时,将采用其标头内包括存储单位23的IP地址的信息包进行。同样,存储元件23向调谐元件22回传信息时,也将采用标头内包括有调谐元件22的IP地址的信息包进行。
应该指出,上述元件21-24中的每个元件都必须具备用IP通信的必要功能。此种功能可以包括在元件的设计之中,或者以IP适配器30将该项功能增加到现有元件之中。实际上,此种情况下的适配器基本上只是一种将块转为信息包或者将信息包转为块的转译器。
也应该指出,此处的操作原理即可应用于起虚拟总线作用的网络,也可以用于多种形式的实际总线和协议,包括ATA、ATAPI、SCSI、Fiber CH、PCMCIA、CardBus以及USB。本文中所提到的IP术语泛指任何能处理信息包的因特网工作协议。
分离的设备
每个元件都可以具有任何适当的实际形状。例如存储元件23可以相当于一个随机存取存储器〔RAM〕、一个只读存储器〔ROM〕芯片或者芯片排、一个旋转式存储器、一种顺序磁带型存储器等等。
用IP来连接各项元件意味着它们可以一起安装在同一个外壳(未显示)之内,也可以在空间上相互分离,如图中虚线40所示。实际上,存储元件23可以是置于桌面上的固定设备,而其余的各个元件可以全部安装于一个便携式的外壳之内。取消了外壳方面的限制还意味着可以增加任何数量的附加元件。在图1B中,PVR〔个人视频录象机〕20还可以另外包括一个自选的附加人机接口25(例如电视显示器),以及一台相应的附加视频解码器26。实际上,自选元件25、26可以只是间或包括的设备,它们本身可以安装在另一个外壳之内,或者以其它方式分离,如虚线41所示。
从另一个角度看,用IP来连接各个元件意味着某项特定设备可以为许多分离元件所共享。因此,多台PVR、一台电视机和一台电脑可以分享同一个磁盘驱动器。
个人视频录象机20的一个有趣的方面是其各个元件可以按对等网络的同级设备通信联络。这样就可以排除对任何操作系统的依赖性,并且可以完全取消操作系统。此外,连接到网络上的许多元件将依靠连接到网络上的其它元件来完成其本身能力所无力完成的任务,因而能发现、保留与充份利用其它能完成此类任务元件的资源。同等设备最好能发现连接到网络上的其它元件,连接到网络上的其它元件的特性,以及至少一部份连接到网络上的其它元件的内容。此类发现无须依靠主设备的协助,最好只涉及同级元件之间的直接通信联络。
优选的网络将是无主体(masterless)网络,即所有元件对网络和连接到网络上的其它元件都具有同等的访问机会。网络上的同等元件最好采用低等级协议(例如相当于传输协议和OSI模型中的较低层次协议的协议)进行通信联络。优选的实施例将采用IP和UDP协议进行元件之间的通信。
存储元件
预计优选存储元件中可提供的存储空间将在逻辑上或者实际上划分为较小的存储空间,这些存储空间在本文中将称为分区。此类分区最好由多个存储位置(即 块)构成,每个块将与一个独一无二的标识符相关连,此项标识符将称为逻辑块地址(LBA,Logical BlockAddress)。如果存储元件为个人电脑所常用的硬盘,则存储元件的分区、块和逻辑块地址〔LBA〕即相当于硬盘的分区、块和逻辑块地址。在另一种情况下,所谓分区、块和逻辑块地址则可能只是其它元件与存储元件交流沟通的一种模型而已。
优选存储元件有两项特点预计将特别有利。其中一项特点是存储元件可包括多个网络地址,因而以此类地址寻址的网络通信将被相应的存储元件(或者若干个存储元件)所接收到。另一项特点是存储元件的每个分区都与一个独一无二的网络地址相联系。例如,一个与IP网络连接的存储元件可被指定多个IP地址,每个IP地址将专门分配给存储元件的每个分区,与该分区相联系起来。
预计用网络地址既指定信息包在网络元件之间的路由径,又指定在至少一个此类元件之内的路由径,使我们可以用十分简易的协议在元件之间通信。更具体地说,在具有划分为分区的存储装置连接于其上的、基于信息包的网络中,将网络地址映射到存储元件的分区之上,预计将简化通信联络,因为网络地址既辨识网络信息包应传送到的网络元件,又同时辨识信息包内容所打算影响的分区。因此,在IP地址即网络地址的IP网络中,存储元件和分区可在TCP/IP堆栈或者UDP/IP堆栈的IP级别上进行。
存储元件在接到网络元件请求之后最好能动态创建分区,而这些分区的网络地址则由地址服务器(例如DHCP服务器〔动态主机配置协议服务器〕)应存储元件请求提供。分区的IP地址最好也在存储元件初始化过程中(例如存储元件初次启动时)加以指定。当网络元件请求使用存储元件时,网络元件最好向存储元件提供一个独一无二的标识符,也许是一个名称,而存储元件则将把该标识符与新创建的分区相联系起来。
应该着重指出像DHCP服务器这样的地址分配设备并非主设备,因为它们并不控制网络、连接到网络之上的元件,或者元件之间资源的分享。
由于某个特定的存储元件可以有多个分区,但只有一个单一的网络接口卡(network interface card,NIC),存储元件最好获取多个网络地址,即便它只有一个网络接口卡(NIC)和一个媒介访问控制(media access control,MAC)地址。这一点可以通过在试图从地址服务器获取网络地址时向地址服务器提供一个独一无二的分区标识符实现之。预计如将由元件提供的名称与元件所创建的分区相联系起来,将有可能识别存储元件的每个分区,尽管分区创建之后,与每个分区相关连的网络地址可能已经发生了改变。
网络元件将会请求存储元件总容量中一个特定大小的容量,预计在有些网络中,一个特定的网络元件将有可能请求一个存储元件将其所有可提供存储容量全部提供给该网络元件。
通信
在优选的实施例中,元件之间的通信,尤其是存储元件和非存储元件之间的通信,将使用数据报协议,其中数据块自动映射到目标设备之上。在元件之间传送的数据报最好包括 指令(CMD)、逻辑块地址(LBA)、数据、令牌字段、以及不超过X个额外字节,其中X是1、2、5、10、15和30中之一。此类数据报的数据字段的大小最好设定为与数据报所寻址的元件的块大小相等(如果可行的话)。在这种情况下,向存储元件发送一定数量数据的元件在数据数量大于存储设备块大小时将典型地把数据分割为相当于存储元件块大小的块,为这些块指定LBA〔逻辑块地址〕,并以数据报形式将每对块与LBA对发送给存储元件。
数据报在元件之间传送时,最好将其封装于像IP信息包这样的带地址的信息包之中,封装信息包的网络地址将既用于识别信息包所拟送往的元件,也将用于识别元件中与数据报相关的分区。
数据报的接收者最好按先来先处理的方式处理数据报,在执行CMD字段所指定的指令之前,不要把数据报中数据字段的内容组装为更大的数据单位。例如,存储元件可能接到一个包括一个数据块、一个LBA〔逻辑块地址〕和一个写入指令的数据报。存储元件不必等待任何其它额外的信息包,可用包含数据报的信息包中的网络地址来识别应使用的分区,用LBA识别分区内数据报数据字段应写入的位置。
各个数据报随到随处理,不进行重新组装的数据处理方式使我们可以对每个指令采用隐含方式确认。采用隐含方式确认而不是明确发出确认信号,可以使性能大幅度提高。
在图2中,家庭影院系统110通常包括一台电视机111、一个调谐器112、一个遥控器114、一台DVD播放机115、扬声器116和一台随机存取存储器117,每个设备都可以用其自身的IP地址寻址。在此项示例中,各项元件之中有一些是用硬连线120连接的,而另一些则通过IP采用无线虚拟总线130连接。图中还显示连接到因特网142上的电缆调制解调器140。因特网140包括在此只是为了举例说明公共信息包交换网络的应用,凡熟谙本行业技艺者均应看到同样的原理可适用于局域网和其它私人或者公共的信息包交换网络。
在图2的特定实例中,调谐器112、解码器113和随机存取存储器117都安装于由虚线118所显示的机顶盒的共同外壳之中。在其它的实施例中,这些元件是可以分离的。同样,元件中的任何一个(包括并未显示的其它元件)也可以组合安装于一个或若干个外壳之中。
特别有好处的是家庭影院系统110的各个元件可以放置于不同的房间之中。这样,电视机111、调谐器112、解码器113、遥控器114和放大器与扬声器116可以都放置在家庭活动室〔未显示〕之中,而DVD播放机115和随机存取存储器117可以包括在置于一间卧室中的一台电脑〔未显示〕之中。说实话,电视机111可以同样容易地从位于城市另一端甚至位于另一个国家的朋友家中的大容量存储器中获取所存储的资料。其它详细情况可参看同时申报的PCT申请号为______________,标题为“通信协议、系统与方法”以及申请号为_____________________,标题为“具有能以IP通信的分区的存储设备”的专利申请,其内容现披露于此供参考。
家庭影院系统110中的任何元件均可单独使用,或者与其它任何元件组合使用。例如,收音机实际上是调谐器112和放大器与扬声器116组合一起共同工作的结果。调谐与音量控制可以置于这些特定元件上,也可置于以传统方式与这些元件接口的标准遥控器〔未显示〕之上。调谐与音量控制甚至可以置于已启动网络的PDA〔个人数字助理〕之上,因为在这种情况下,PDA可以通过LAN〔局域网〕、WAN〔广域网〕或者其它信息包交换网络与调谐器112和放大器与扬声器116通信联络。
由于实际距离的接近已非必要条件,家庭影院系统110也可偶尔包括一些其它元件,例如图1B所示的PVR〔个人视频录象机〕,和图3中PDA〔个人数字助理〕的电话部份。这样,使用者可以通过电话通话,同时在电视机111屏幕上看到通话的对方。通话内容可以存储到存储元件23之上,该项存储元件可以在另一间房间里,或者甚至相隔千里或者万里之遥。之所以能做到这点,是因为各个元件都有其自身的IP地址,以IP协议通信联络,不必受到点到点连接的限制。
预计一旦业内人士认识到各个元件以其自身的IP地址与其它元件执行信息包通信的好处,公司将开始生产与推销此类元件。同时,我们也预计各家公司将生产与推销能使传统元件具备与已启动网络功能元件相仿功能(包括硬件)的适配器。
因此,属于本发明主题范围之内的方法包括制造或者销售可用其IP地址与其它元件执行信息包通信联络的元件。其它本发明的方法包括制造或者销售能使现有技术类型的元件用其自身IP地址与其它元件执行信息包通信联络的适配器。事实上,预计各家公司将会认识到市面有此种适配器供应,因而继续制造或者销售现有技术类型的元件,知道(甚至刊登广告宣传)用户可使用此类适配器令此类现有技术类型元件用其自身IP地址执行与其它元件之间的信息包通信联络。
在图3中,个人数字助理210有一个外壳220,该外壳内安装有一个电话部份230和通用CPU〔中央处理机〕部份230、240,该部份连接到PDA〔个人数字助理〕总线250之上。电话与CPU部份220、230有其自身的IP地址。它们以IP与外界通信联络,并可用IP在PDA总线250上彼此通信联络。
电话部份230有其自身的总线221将话筒222、扬声器223和处理器224连接起来。尽管存在着电话总线221,电话部份220仍按本专利的定义被视为一个元件,因为其本身所具有的独立自主性。话筒222、扬声器223和处理器224无自身的IP地址,不用IP寻址,因此电话部份220是具有自身的IP地址并运用IP进行寻址的最小单位。
通用PDA CPU部份240有其自身的总线241将显示器242、键盘243、CPU244和存储器部份245连接起来。如果存储器部份245有其自身的IP地址并运用IP进行寻址,则存储器部份245即被视为一个元件。如果不是如此的话,组根据独立自主性原理,整个通用CPU部份240将被视为一个元件。
在图4中,厨房310有多台电器设备,即一个时钟320、一个烤面包片器330、一个电动咖啡壶340、一台电冰箱350,所有这些都以无线虚拟总线360连接在一起。
这些电器设备可以运用IP相互对话,不必由任何外部电脑进行控制。因而,烤面包片器330和电动咖啡壶340可以从时钟320接收时间信号,用这些信号决定早上何时开始工作。此类相互连接性可使我们不必在每次电器设备断电时,或者时间改为夏时制时,重新设定设备上所包含的时钟。
值得注意的是各项元件320、330、340、350有可能并未以任何实际的总线进行硬连线、因此,它们可以根据需要交换或者更新、移动或拆除。例如时钟320可以毫不费力地安放在厨房310或者一间卧室(未显示)或者甚至设置在华盛顿的标准局(未显示)之内。
各项元件320、330、340可以与IP可以连接到的任何地方的任何其它元件组合使用。例如,如果这个家将被关闭一段时间,那就可以用图3所示的PDA向电冰箱350发送一个信号,令其将温度调低几度。
这样,本发明电气设备的具体实施例和应用均已予以披露如上。但对熟悉本领域的技术人员来说,除以上所描述内容外,尚可设想出无数的修改方案,其实质并未超出本发明的基本构思。因此本发明的主题除其基本精神外,并不局限于所附的权利要求。此外,在对专利说明书和权利要求进行解释时,都应根据上下文从最广义上加以理解。尤其是像“包括”、“由......组成”等等字样应该泛泛解释为元件、组成部份、步骤等比较笼统的字眼,所指的是所述的元件、部件、步骤有可能存在、被采用,或者与其它未明确提到的其它元件、组件、或者步骤结合使用。
权利要求书
(按照条约第19条的修改)
1.一个包括多个元件的电气设备,所述多个元件通过使用向该多个元件中的各个单独元件寻址的信息包进行彼此间的通信。
2.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台照相机。
3.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台收音机。
4.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台电视机。
5.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一部电话。
6.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一件厨房电器设备。
7.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中还包括一个大容量存储器,其中该多个元件中至少一个元件是一个逻辑磁盘分段。
8.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中至少还包括一个键盘、一个显示屏幕、一个音频输入端和一个音频输出端。
9.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中至少还包括一个键盘、一个显示屏幕、一个音频输入端、一个音频输出端和一个大容量存储器。
10.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件具备使用信息包通过公共信息包交换网络彼此通信的功能。
11.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件使用信息包在相隔至少三米距离彼此通信。
12.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中多个元件具有不用本机(本地)总线彼此通信的功能。
13.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中多个元件具有使用由IP虚拟化的本机(本地)总线彼此通信的功能。
14.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中还进一步包括无线功能,从而使至少有一些信息包通过无线网络传送。
15.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件具有使用对等协议彼此通信的功能。
16.一个有其自身的IP地址并运用以该IP地址寻址的信息包进行通信的元件。
17.权利要求16所述的元件,其中还进一步包括一个构成大容量存储设备的一个物理分段的一部份的数据存储媒介。
18.权利要求16所述的元件,其中还进一步包括一个配置为与计算机的物理总线配对的连接器。
19.权利要求16所述的元件,其中还进一步包括一个配置为与一个具有触觉人机接口的设备的物理总线配对的连接器。
20.权利要求16所述的元件,其中还进一步包括与无线网络的连接。
21.权利要求16所述的元件,其中的元件至少为调谐器和信号解码器两者之一。
22.一个包括允许元件执行互联网协议并由其自身的IP地址寻址的适配器。
23.一个包括人机接口、调谐器、解码器和存储设备的多个元件的个人视频录像系统,其中每个元件已被指定其自身的IP地址,适合传送与接收IP信息包,并通过此种IP信息包与一个或多个其它元件通信。
24.权利要求23所述的系统,该系统还另外包括第二人机接口元件,该第二人机接口元件也适合于传送与接收IP信息包,并通过此类IP信息包与系统的其它元件通信。
Claims (22)
1.一个包括多个元件的电气设备,所述多个元件通过使用向该多个元件中的各个单独元件寻址的信息包进行彼此间的通信。
2.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台照相机。
3.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台收音机。
4.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一台电视机。
5.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一部电话。
6.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中的设备为一件厨房电器设备。
7.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中还包括一个大容量存储器,其中该多个元件中至少一个元件是一个逻辑磁盘分段。
8.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中至少还包括一个键盘、一个显示屏幕、一个音频输入端和一个音频输出端。
9.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中至少还包括一个键盘、一个显示屏幕、一个音频输入端、一个音频输出端和一个大容量存储器。
10.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件具备使用信息包通过公共信息包交换网络彼此通信的功能。
11.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件使用信息包在相隔至少三米距离彼此通信。
12.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中多个元件具有不用本机(本地)总线彼此通信的功能。
13.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中多个元件具有使用由IP虚拟化的本机(本地)总线彼此通信的功能。
14.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中还包括通过无线网络传送该信息包中的至少一些信息包的无线功能。
15.权利要求1所述的电气设备,其中元件中至少有两个元件具有使用对等协议彼此通信的功能。
16.一个有其自身的IP地址并运用以该IP地址寻址的信息包进行通信的元件。
17.权利要求16所述的元件,其中还进一步包括一个构成大容量存储设备的一个物理分段的一部份的数据存储媒介。
