Description
Technical field
The present invention relates generally to the power supply control of mobile personal computer and Wireless Telecom Equipment, particularly be used to allow and forbid the Wireless Telecom Equipment of employing in the mobile computer and provide the device of visual confirmation it.
The background technology situation
In the past few years, the application of mobile personal computer and Wireless Telecom Equipment all shows a marked increase. These trend may last till foreknowable future, equally, mobile communication equipment or become and be embedded within the mobile personal computer by using personal computer memory card interface adapter (PCMCIA) card or being installed to hardware accessories on the computer motherboard by use.
Though personal computer is portably used continually at random, in such as the special time that takes off or land, do not allow to use.On the other hand, be different from mobile personal computer, Directorate of Air of the United States Federal provides against the use whenever in the flight cabin or starts Wireless Telecom Equipment. This absolute prohibition is applicable to all Wireless Telecom Equipments, such as cellular telephone, bidirection pager be installed in wireless local Local Area Network adapter within the mobile personal computer and other. Therefore need to have a mechanism so that easily the Wireless Telecom Equipment in the mobile personal computer is cut off the power supply and the flight personnel are examined clearly and forbid this Wireless Telecom Equipment.
At present, these two kinds of needs also there is not solution easily. Can order the mobile text modulator-demodulator and the bidirection pager user that typically are contained in II class PCMCIA or III class pcmcia card when boarding, to take away these pcmcia devices. And, then require the user to open mobile personal computer and import a menu so that turn-off this Wireless Telecom Equipment for being embedded in the miscellaneous equipment in the mobile personal computer hardware.Yet these mobile personal computers all can start when start at any time. Therefore, the Any user that starts the mobile personal computer that is equipped with this Wireless Telecom Equipment in the cabin has just been violated federal law.In addition, also be not used in the method that checking flight personnel turn-off Wireless Telecom Equipment.
Therefore, be designed for that easily to ban use of the method and apparatus that is embedded into the Wireless Telecom Equipment in the mobile personal computer will be very favourable. If this method and apparatus can provide clear and definite indication just more favourable when forbidding Wireless Telecom Equipment.
Brief summary of the invention
The present invention includes a switch that is positioned on the mobile computer shell, this switch has the state that uses the primary importance of the Wireless Telecom Equipment that adopts in the mobile computer and can also indicate permission to use corresponding to allowing. This switch also has corresponding to the second place that bans use of Wireless Telecom Equipment and indicates the state that bans use of.When this switch allowed and forbids Wireless Telecom Equipment, this switch did not influence using of mobile computer and forbids. The present invention also comprises when switch and allows to use Wireless Telecom Equipment during in primary importance and ban use of a device of Wireless Telecom Equipment during in the second place when switch. The present invention also comprises light-emitting diode, is used to indicate the permission and the illegal state of the Wireless Telecom Equipment in the mobile computer.
Brief description of the drawings
In order more completely to understand the present invention, below in conjunction with accompanying drawing and with reference to following detailed description, wherein:
Fig. 1 is the functional-block diagram of the preferred embodiment of the present invention;
The outside drawing of the primary importance of the permission user mode of the Wireless Telecom Equipment that Fig. 2 A is a switch in the indication mobile computer; With
Fig. 2 B is the outside drawing of the second place that bans use of state of the Wireless Telecom Equipment of switch in the indication mobile computer.
Detailed description of the present invention
With reference now to Fig. 1,, the functional-block diagram of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is described.Mobile personal computer 100 comprises CPU (CPU) 110, LCD (LCD) 120, the first personal computer memory card interface adapter (PCMCIA) power supply and interface connectors 130.The 2nd PCMCIA power supply and interface connector 140 embed Wireless Telecom Equipment 150 and power supply 160 in the mobile computer 100, and all these is positioned within the shell 170 of mobile computer 100.This mobile computer 100 also has on/off switch 101, is used for allowing and banning use of this mobile computer 100.
The shell 170 that pcmcia card 180 and 181 passes mobile computer 100 is inserted into mobile computer and accepts power supply respectively from PCMCIA power supply and interface connector 130 and 140 and communicate by letter with mobile computer 100 with 140 with interface connector 130 by power supply.Be subjected to the control of CPU110 respectively through the power supplys to pcmcia card 180 and 181 of PCMCIA power supply and interface connector 130 and 140 acceptance. Also have, PCMCIA power supply and interface connector 140 and embedding Wireless Telecom Equipment 150 are also accepted power supply so that handle the radiofrequency launcher 190 and the pcmcia card 181 of the Wireless Telecom Equipment 150 that is arranged in this embedding respectively through radio-frequency power supply bus 200 respectively.
Double-point double-throw switch 210 passes shell 170 and extends.Switch has first utmost point 220 and second utmost point 230.When switch 210 during in primary importance, first utmost point 220 is electrically connected to gating signal line 250 with the output 240 of power supply 160.The gating signal line is the input of CPU110, when this input is connected to the output 240 of power supply, causes CPU110 to pass through power supply and interface connector 130 and 140 gating powers respectively to pcmcia card 180 and 181.In addition, when switch 210 during in primary importance, second utmost point 230 is electrically connected to power bus 200 with the output 240 of power supply 160, therefore provides power supply to reflector 190 that is arranged in pcmcia card 181 and the pcmcia card 181 that is embedded into Wireless Telecom Equipment 150.
When switch 210 during in the second place, first utmost point 220 is electrically connected to ground 260 with gating signal line 250.Connecting gating signal line 250 260 causes CPU110 to forbid that power supply passes through power supply and interface connector 130 and 140 respectively and arrives pcmcia card 180 and 181 to ground. In addition, when switch 210 during in the second place, second utmost point, 230 electric connection of power supply buses 200 are to ground 260, therefore remove to reflector 190 that is arranged in pcmcia card 181 and the power supply that is embedded into the pcmcia card 181 of Wireless Telecom Equipment 150.
Though switch 210 is described to double-point double-throw switch, also can use any switch combination gating signal line 250 and/or power bus 200 to be connected to the output 240 or the ground 260 of power supply 160.
Come with reference to figure 2A now again, the outside drawing that switch 210 has the primary importance 300 of strobe state at indication reflector 190 is described.Switch 210 does not influence the permission of mobile computer 100 and forbids. As the example of indicator cock 210, be printed on the literal switch direction indication " wireless communications mode " on the switch 210 in enable state.
Come with reference to figure 2B now again, the outside drawing that switch 210 has the second place 310 of illegal state at indication reflector 190 is described. As the example of indicator cock 210, be printed on the literal switch direction indication " airplane-mode " on the switch 210 at illegal state.
Though illustrate and in above detail specifications, described the preferred embodiment of the inventive method and device in the accompanying drawings, but be to be understood that, the present invention is not limited to disclosed embodiment, but can carry out various reorganization, modification and replacement and the invention spirit that do not break away from following claim and limited.
