Abstract

Description
几乎所有希望在现存的电话线上为家庭及小型商业用户提供未来宽带业务的电话系统运营公司都需要一种装置使现存电话业务能够与新的宽带业务在同一线路上共存。
过去已提及使用滤波器分离电话信号和宽带信号。
如果要滤波的都是音频或音频以上的双极信号,提供这些滤波器将是一件相对简单的事情。虽然数字用户线路(DSL)信号具有这样的特征,但是,与电话机关联的信号不符合这个简单的模型。由于历史原因,现今的电话仍然使用70伏,25赫兹的铃流信号,在一对线路上双向操作且需要一个直流电压来操作。所有这一切意味着用于分离电话信号和电压的滤波器必定是极其复杂的或在其构造中采用无源电感器件。
这两种选择都导致最终产品体积庞大且昂贵,两者都是不理想的,因为这种产品必须适合在DSL链路两端的有限的空间并且使中等用户负担得起。
如在图1所看到的,在主连接点(PCP)和用户房屋都需要一个低通滤波器。低通滤波器分离电话信号和宽带信号。
就PCP与房屋之间的信号路径而言,图1精确地表示了系统的实际的几何结构。可以看到,高通滤波器与低通滤波器并行地与线路连接。这意味着高通滤波器既要能够足够耐用以抵抗铃流电压,也要能够阻塞线路上的DC,这些也将增加滤波器的费用。
从PCP到房屋的电话线由各种长度的电缆组成。这些电缆在交接箱,分线盒及次连接点(SCP)连接。如果这些连接点被腐蚀,它们将充当一个二极管,导致宽带信号的严重的,不可接受的失真。为解决这个问题,需要一个湿电流“前向偏置”二极管,以消除失真的可能性。
这个湿电流必须足够大,能够防止宽带失真,但不能太大而使交换机或远程集中器单元(RCU)将此电流错当作电话摘机产生的电流。考虑到每个电话线的长度和环路阻抗不同,很难掌握这种平衡。
一种替代的解决方法是在PCP中止模拟电话信号,将其数字化并在数字宽带电路内传载结果数据。这去除了对滤波器的要求并且允许优化湿电流,使宽带信号的失真最小。
这种方法的一个缺点是,如果该复合DSL电路或在NTE或ONU的电源失效,就不能获得电话业务。在这些情况下,要求某些电信运营者提供紧急“救生线”电话业务。
根据本发明,提供一个电信系统,在一个链路的每端具有宽带数字用户环路电路,并且该系统被设计来通过将电话信号数字化并装载在DSL信号内来传送电话信号,在某个DSL电路或其相关的电源失效时,电话信号被自动切换,绕过该DSL电路。
图2说明了这种思想。
当可获得电源并且在ONU和NTE的输入都存在宽带DSL信号时,电话电路继续在宽带信号内运载。但如果电源失效,或没有输入信号,指示在链路的另一端电源发生失效或其它故障,则将释放继电器组,从而绕过ONU和NTE并恢复到交换机和电话设备之间的直接金属接点的电话电路。
所示的电路是与PCP关联的,因此有铃流检测器。与NTE关联的电路基本相同,但是具有“摘机”检测器,而不是铃流检测器。
在PCP需要一个铃流检测器,带有与之相关联的铃流比特设置电路。在网络终接设备(NTE)需要一个铃流产生器。同样,在NTE需要一个线路占用检测器,带有占用比特设置相关的电路。在光网络单元(ONU)需要一个线路占用继电器。
方块7,高阻抗宽带检测电路提供了电路可以检测来自线路远端的宽带信号的出现或没出现的装置。如果在所示的继电器的位置,来自远端的信号中止,方块7将检测到并使继电器释放。这意味着方块7现在将不可能检测来自与继电器的“激励”侧连接的输入口的宽带信号的出现。为此,方块7具有从旁路链路检测宽带信号的第二个高阻输入口。一旦远端的宽带信号恢复,方块7将通过该输入检测到并再次激励继电器。
离散多音调制(DMT)是在模拟介质上传送数据的一种很有效的方法。在DMT中,一系列2到16比特的数字字节被同时发送,每个字节被调制为一系列频率分开的音中的一个单音,这些音连续相邻并频带有限。
DMT相对其它调制方法的一个优点是可以调制与剩余部分分离的一个单独的音或一组音。
在一个DMT调制的实现中,电话所需要的64Kbit/秒数据可以在一个单音上传载,简化了电话信号与宽带信号复接的过程。
Claims (3)
1.在一个电信系统中,在链路的每端具有宽带数字用户环路电路并且该系统被设计来通过将电话信号数字化并载于DSL信号内来传送电话信号,包括在一个DSL电路或相关电源失效时,将电话信号自动切换,绕开该DSL电路的装置。
2.权利要求1所要求保护的电信系统,其特征在于,其中所述的DSL电路采用离散多音(DMT)调制。
3.权利要求1和2所要求保护的电信系统,其特征在于,其中的电话信号在DMT信号中的一个单个载波上调制。
