The connector for the vehicle is used as a core component of an automobile electronic system and plays a key role of ensuring efficient and stable connection between various electronic devices and systems in the vehicle. In the prior art, a typical automotive connector design includes an insulating base, a plurality of connection terminals fixedly mounted on the base, and an insulating housing fixedly disposed about the connection terminals. The external plug is connected through the plug-in fit with the connecting terminal, and meanwhile, the shell of the plug is fixed with the insulating shell in a clamping manner, so that the stability of connection is ensured.
However, in practical applications, the connector is applied to a chassis part of a vehicle, and in complex environments such as splash and wading, which may be encountered during running of an automobile, the waterproof performance of the connector is severely challenged. Because the existing design often has gaps at the plugging position after the plugging of the external plug and the connector is completed, the gaps are very easy to become ponding or rainwater penetrating channels, once the moisture penetrates into the connector, the connection short circuit can be caused, the normal work of the electronic equipment is affected, even potential safety hazards such as vehicle out of control can be caused when serious, and as a result, the improvement space exists.

The application aims to provide a waterproof connector for a vehicle, which solves the problems of insufficient waterproof performance and potential safety hazards of the connector in the related art.

The waterproof connector for the vehicle comprises a substrate and a plurality of conducting strips fixedly arranged on the substrate, wherein an inner sealing cover into which an external plug is clamped is fixedly arranged on the substrate around the common periphery of the conducting strips, an outer sealing cover is fixedly arranged on the substrate outside the inner sealing cover, and a gap for the outer shell part of the external plug to be clamped is reserved between the inner sealing cover and the outer sealing cover.

The present application will be described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

referring to fig. 1 and 2, a waterproof connector for a vehicle comprises a substrate 1, three conductive sheets 11 fixed on the substrate 1 side by side, an inner sealing cover 12 into which an external plug is clamped is integrally formed on the substrate 1 around the common periphery of the conductive sheets 11, an outer sealing cover 13 is integrally formed on the substrate 1 outside the inner sealing cover 12, a gap into which a shell part of the external plug is clamped is reserved between the inner sealing cover 12 and the outer sealing cover 13, and a clamping block 131 is integrally formed on one side of the periphery of the outer sealing cover 13, so that the subsequent further clamping with the external plug is facilitated.
The base plate 1, the inner sealing cover 12 and the outer sealing cover 13 are all made of insulating plastic materials, and through the double-layer waterproof structure of the inner sealing cover 12 and the outer sealing cover 13, the waterproof level of the connector can reach IPX7, the connection strength is also greatly increased, and the connector can meet application scenes such as splashing and wading for vehicles and other application scenes with high waterproof performance requirements.
The implementation principle of the embodiment of the application is as follows:
In the application process of the connector, the substrate 1 is fixed at a position to be installed in advance through a screw, then a user inserts the main body of the external plug into the inner sealing cover 12 and is in plug-in fit with the conducting strip 11, and the shell of the external plug is inserted into a gap between the inner sealing cover 12 and the outer sealing cover 13 and is abutted against the inner wall of the gap, so that the waterproof performance of the connector is ensured through the double sealing structure.

Referring to fig. 3 and 4, the difference between the embodiment of the present application and embodiment 1 is that two opposite sides of the substrate 1 opposite to the outer seal cover 13 are hinged with an upper protection plate 2 and a lower protection plate 3 respectively, wherein the side of the upper protection plate 2 far away from the substrate 1 is fixedly provided with an upper protection cover 21, the side of the lower protection plate 3 far away from the substrate 1 is fixedly provided with a lower protection cover 31, the upper protection cover 21 and the lower protection cover 31 can be sleeved on the connecting peripheral surfaces of the outer seal cover 13 and the outer plug shell, and the adjacent sides of the upper protection cover 21 and the lower protection cover 31 are respectively fixed with an elastic seal gasket 22 made of rubber material through glue;

Referring to fig. 4 and 5, positioning rods 24 are fixedly arranged on the side surfaces of the upper protection plate 2 and the lower protection plate 3, which are far away from each other, first magnetic attraction blocks 25 are embedded on the periphery of the positioning rods 24, second magnetic attraction blocks 14 are embedded on the two opposite side surfaces of the periphery of the substrate 1, and the first magnetic attraction blocks 25 on the positioning rods 24 can rotate to a state of being in magnetic attraction and abutting contact with the second magnetic attraction blocks 14 along with the upper protection plate 2 or the lower protection plate 3;

Referring to fig. 6, two opposite sides of the periphery of the base plate 1 are provided with storage cavities 15, wherein the opening edges of the storage cavities 15 are provided with limiting sink grooves 151, the bottom side surface of the limiting sink grooves 151, which is close to the outer sealing cover 13, is hinged with a cover plate 4, the cover plate 4 can be rotatably inserted into the limiting sink grooves 151 to seal the storage cavities 15, and the base plate 1 is provided with limiting pieces 5 which can be detachably locked on the other side of the cover plate 4;

Referring to fig. 6, the limiting member 5 includes a compression spring 51 and a limiting block 52, wherein a positioning block 53 is fixedly arranged on a side surface of the limiting block 52, a storage groove 16 into which the compression spring 51 and the limiting block 52 are placed is formed in the substrate 1, and a limiting hole 152 communicated with the storage groove 16 is formed in an inner wall of the limiting sink groove 151;

The control block 62 can be sequentially inserted into the control port 161 and the storage groove 16 along with the rotation of the positioning rod 24, and the control block 62 can press the positioning block 53 along the guide inclined plane 521 to slide in a direction approaching the compression spring 51, so that the protruding portion of the positioning block 53 is disengaged from the positioning groove 42, and the locking of the cover plate 4 is released.

In other embodiments, the connection mode of the positioning rod 24 and the corresponding protection plate can be set to be hinged, the upper protection cover 21 and the lower protection cover 31 rotate in opposite directions, when the outer sealing cover 13 and the outer plug shell are connected for sealing protection, the positioning rod 24 can be adjusted to a state of abutting against the outer surface of the corresponding protection plate after rotating for 90 degrees, and meanwhile, the positioning rod 24 and the control rod 61 in the state are detachably locked by using screws, so that the interference to other connecting wires in the subsequent application is reduced, and the details are not repeated.

When taking the screws in the accommodating cavity 15 on the substrate 1, the positioning rod 24 and the control rod 61 are adjusted to be vertical in advance, then the upper protection plate 2 and the lower protection plate 3 are rotated oppositely, the control block 62 can be sequentially inserted into the control port 161 and the accommodating groove 16 along with the rotation of the positioning rod 24, the control block 62 can press the positioning block 53 along the guide inclined plane 521 to slide in the direction approaching to the pressure spring 51, and the protruding part of the positioning block 53 is separated from the positioning groove 42;
when the external plug is plugged with the connector, the positioning rod 24 and the control rod 61 are adjusted to be in a coaxial state in advance, and then the upper protection plate 2 and the lower protection plate 3 are rotated in opposite directions, so that the first magnetic attraction block 25 on the positioning rod 24 is in magnetic attraction and contact with the corresponding second magnetic attraction block 14, and the fixing projection 18 is clamped into the fixing groove 621 on the control block 62;
