- The self-contained shaving system of claim 1, wherein the water-soluble polymer is selected from the group consisting of water-soluble polymers comprising polyethylene glycol.
- The self-contained shaving system of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic polymer is polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyaldehyde.
- The self-contained shaving system of claim 1, further comprising a left securing member that spans the left end of the blade from above and is mounted to the left side wall of the cartridge frame, the left securing member and the left side wall of the cartridge frame collectively holding the left end of the blade, and a right securing member that spans the right end of the blade from above and is mounted to the right side wall of the cartridge frame, the right securing member and the right side wall of the cartridge frame collectively holding the right end of the blade, and the guard member extends in the left-right direction of the cartridge frame.
- The self-contained shaving system of claim 7, wherein the left end of the guard member extends at least to the left to the location of the left anchor and the right end of the guard member extends at least to the location of the right anchor.
- The self-contained shaving system of claim 7, wherein the left and right securing members are of a sheet-like construction independent of one another.
- The self-contained shaving system of claim 7, wherein the left and right securing members are integrally formed as a one-piece, unitary structure.
