A carrier (1) for a motor vehicle, having a placement device (2) and a height adjustment device (6), with which a height position of the placement device (2) can be adjusted, wherein the height adjustment device (6) has a plurality of support legs (7) rotatably supported at least one suspension (4), by means of which the placement device (2) is supported or supportable at a base element (10), and the support legs (7) are coupled to one another by means of a transmission mechanism, such that a rotational movement of a first support leg (7) can be transmitted to a further support leg (7) by means of the transmission mechanism, wherein at least one of the support legs (7) is movably guided or guidable at the base element (10), and wherein a change in the angle between the support legs (7) results in a change in the support point of the support legs (7) movably guided or guidable at the base element (10) and correspondingly in a change in the spacing between the base element (10) and the suspension element (4).

The carrier (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein the transmission mechanism has at least two gears (12) which are engaged with each other and are operatively connected to at least two support legs (7), wherein a change in the distance between the suspension (11) and the base element (10) takes place with a rotation of the gears (12) and a rotational movement of the support legs (7) associated therewith.

The bracket (1) according to any of the preceding claims, further having a locking means configured to releasably lock a rotational movement of at least one support leg (7) and thereby fix a setting of a spacing between the suspension portion (4) and the base element (10) such that the bracket (1) is fixed in its position.
4. A bracket (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the suspension (4) is arranged between the placement device (2) and the height adjustment device (6).
5. The carrier (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, further having at least one elastic element (13) configured to exert an elastic counter force on the placement device (2) when a change in position of the placement device (2) occurs.
6. Bracket (1) according to claim 5, wherein the elastic element (13) is arranged in or at least one of the support legs (7) in such a way that the at least one support leg (7) with the elastic element (13) shortens in an elastic manner when a force acts on the placement device (2).
7. The carrier (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, further having at least one placement element (3) connected to the placement device (2) for supporting an object.
8. Cradle (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the placement device (2) has a longitudinal extension direction and the placement device (2) is movable substantially parallel to the longitudinal extension direction via a movement unit (14).
9. Motor vehicle, in particular a passenger vehicle which can be driven at least partially electrically, comprising at least one bracket (1) according to any one of the preceding claims.
10. Motor vehicle according to claim 9, wherein the motor vehicle has a base element (10) at which at least one of the support legs (7) is supported.
