Technical Field

The present invention relates to a composition. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for the care and/or make-up of keratin materials. The present invention also relates to a non-therapeutic method for the care and/or make-up of keratin materials.

Background Art

Consumers all over the world are looking for new cosmetic products for improving the appearance of keratin materials, especially the skin, in particular for providing optical cosmetic effects, such as concealing effects, to the skin.

Cosmetics that can bring the above optical effects to the skin are known, for example as foundation products of the emulsion type, in particular of the water-in-oil emulsion type, containing colorants and oils. In addition, it is also desired that such cosmetic effects are long-lasting, i.e. the cosmetics can be applied once in the morning and last all day without touch-ups. However, these products are still unsatisfactory. For example, they can dry the skin after application. This may be due to their low ability to encapsulate large amounts of water.

In addition to the above-mentioned covering effect and durability, consumers have increasing demands on the sensory properties of the skin. Among them, moisturizing (hydration) is one of the most difficult requirements to meet today.

Cosmetics containing a large amount of aqueous phase are known to deliver a moisturizing feel to the skin. In order to meet this need, efforts have been made to formulate foundation products with a high content of aqueous phase, or in particular oil-in-water emulsions, oil dispersions. However, obtaining a watery texture is often in conflict with the desired cosmetic properties as described above.

Therefore, the formulation of compositions for the care and/or make-up of keratin materials having good coverage, long-lastingness, watery and moisturizing feel remains a difficulty faced by those skilled in the art.

Therefore, there remains a need in the cosmetic industry to provide consumers with cosmetic products that deliver good coverage, long-lasting, watery and moisturizing feel to the skin.

This method is particularly described in US Pat. No. 4,578,266.

Chemical surface treatment may involve diluting the surfactant in a volatile solvent, dispersing the pigment in the mixture, and then slowly evaporating the volatile solvent so that the surfactant is deposited on the surface of the pigment.

When the pigment is coated with gemini-type amphiphilic amino acids, the surface treatment involves the creation of covalent bonds and allows the coated particles to be dispersed in the oil phase.
