Detailed Description
The following description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention refers to the accompanying drawings, which make the technical contents thereof more clear and easy to understand. The present invention may be embodied in many different forms of embodiments and the scope of the present invention is not limited to only the embodiments described herein.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a pipe joint with an automatic drain valve in a preferred embodiment of the present invention. As can be seen from the figure, the pipe wall of the pipe joint 1 is provided with a drain opening 2. The water stored in the hose connected to the pipe joint 1 can be discharged from the water discharge opening 2.
Fig. 2 and 3 are cross-sectional views of the pipe joint of fig. 1. As can be seen from the figure, the valve body 3 of the automatic drain valve, on which the drain port 2 is provided, is mounted by means of threads 4 on a threaded through hole 12 in the pipe wall of the pipe fitting 1 and extends into a flow passage 12 in the pipe fitting 1. The valve body 3 includes a water inlet 9 communicating with the flow passage 12. The valve core 6 in the valve body 3 is connected with the turning plate 5. The flap 5 is switchable between a closed position and an open position. When the flap 5 is in the closed position as shown in fig. 2, the flap 5 is turned upwards and inclined in the flow passage 12 of the pipe joint 1, driving the valve core 6 to be in the closed position and blocking the water inlet 9 and the water outlet 2. When the turning plate 5 is in the open position as shown in fig. 3, the turning plate 5 turns downwards and inclines in the flow passage 12 of the pipe joint 1, so that the valve core 6 is driven to be in the closed position, and the water inlet 9 and the water outlet 2 are communicated. The valve body 3 is also provided with a first limit part 7 for limiting the turning of the turning plate 5 at the opening position; and a second limit part 8 for turning limit of the turning plate 5 at the closing position.
Fig. 4 and 5 are perspective views and assembly relation views of the automatic drain valve. As shown in the drawing, the valve spool 6 is provided to pass through the valve spool seat hole 14 of the valve body 3, and both ends extend outside the valve spool seat hole 14, respectively. The water inlets 9 are correspondingly provided on the side walls of the spool bore 14. One end of the turning plate 5 is provided with a shifting fork 13, and two ends of the valve core 6 are respectively provided with a shifting fork fixing groove 10. The turning plate 5 is connected to the valve core 6 through a shifting fork 13 and a turning plate fixing groove 10, and the shifting fork 13 also plays a role in fixing the valve core 6 on the valve body 3. The shifting fork 13 and the turning plate fixing groove 10 can be connected through fasteners such as bolts, and interference fit is also adopted. The automatic drain valve of the present invention has the aim of draining the stored water in the hose connected to the pipe joint, so that no sealing element, such as sealing ring, is required.
As shown in fig. 6 to 7, when the pipe joint 1 of the present invention is in an operating state, the lower part thereof is connected to the water pump 15 and the upper part thereof is connected to the hose 16. When the water pump 15 starts to work, fluid enters the hose from bottom to top through the flow passage 12 of the pipe joint 1 under the driving of the water pump 15, and at the moment, the turning plate 5 can be impacted by water flow to turn upwards, so that the valve core 6 is driven to be in a closed position. When the water pump 15 stops working, the turning plate 5 automatically falls back under the action of gravity, turns downwards to an open position, the valve core 6 conducts the water inlet 9 and the water outlet 2, and water stored in the hose 16 can be automatically discharged through the water outlet 2.
In the above embodiment, the flap 5 is configured to automatically fall back by gravity, and in other embodiments, a return spring connected to the flap may be used to stop the operation of the water pump, so that the water flow impact force is eliminated and the automatic fall back is achieved.
The automatic drain valve has small volume, few parts, simple structure and high reliability; can be matched with the original threads of the pipe joint, and is inserted and installed from the outside, so that the installation is simple and the stability is good.
The foregoing describes in detail preferred embodiments of the present invention. It should be understood that numerous modifications and variations can be made in accordance with the concepts of the invention without requiring creative effort by one of ordinary skill in the art. Therefore, all technical solutions which can be obtained by logic analysis, reasoning or limited experiments based on the prior art by the person skilled in the art according to the inventive concept shall be within the scope of protection defined by the claims.
