Detailed ways

For many people, their routine includes at least a brief stop in front of the bathroom mirror. The mirror can be utilized as a portal into the user's life. Users can access the mirror to view their reflection or perform other personal hygiene functions. These visits provide the opportunity to collect data from users on a regular basis. These data can describe the user's health status. Tracking a user's health over time provides rich opportunities for technological improvements in various technical areas, as described in the following examples.

FIG. 1 shows an exemplary hygiene mirror 101 , including a sensor 10 and a controller 100 , in communication with a communication network 22 . Additional, different, or fewer components may be included. The data is collected by the health mirror 101 through the sensor 10 . This data may describe the user's physical characteristics or health characteristics. In some cases, users request that specific types of data be collected. In another case, data is automatically collected when the user is in front of, within sight of, or close to the healthcare mirror 101 . The term "near" may refer to any location within range of the sensor 10 . The term "in sight" may refer to the vicinity of the health mirror 101 without any physical obstacles (eg, walls) in between. The term "in front" may refer to a location within a predetermined range or area.

The sensor 10 may be any type of sensor that directly or indirectly detects a health characteristic of a user approaching the hygiene mirror 101 . While various other sensors are described, in one embodiment, sensor 10 is a temperature sensor (eg, a thermometer). Sensor 10 may be another temperature mapping device, such as an infrared camera for detecting a user's thermal signature.

The sensor 10 may be an audio sensor, such as a microphone that detects sounds generated by a user. Sounds such as coughs, sneezes, or certain sound characteristics may indicate the user's health. Sensor 102 can detect odors. The sensor 10 can detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or other carbon-based (organic) chemicals (compounds), which are odors indicative of health conditions.

The sensor 10 may be an image capture device with a lens, such as a digital aperture capture device (such as a camera) or an image capture device with a charge-coupled device (CCD), such as an integrated circuit formed on a silicon surface on which the photosensitive elements are formed. The image collection device may collect images for user's facial recognition. The image collection device may collect images for identifying image characteristics of the user, such as, for example, the user's color or shape (eg, bone density, outline, height and/or weight). Other physical attributes can be determined from the user's images, including skin quality or condition at the cellular level, signs of hormonal imbalances, aging, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, color, inflammation, environmental influences, or other abnormalities. In another example, images of the user's muscles are analyzed to determine a muscle condition (eg, sprain, strain, or tear). Sensor 10 may be a retinal scanner configured to scan the user's eyes. Retinal scans can reveal eye features that can be used to identify users. Retinal scans can detect health characteristics, such as a user's blood sugar levels.

The controller 100 may analyze sensor data. Controller 100 may compare values in the sensor data to one or more thresholds or ranges in order to identify health characteristics of the user. For example, when the sensor data includes a temperature value, the controller 100 may compare the temperature value with a normal person's temperature value or range to identify a situation where the user may have an elevated temperature. The normal temperature value may be predetermined (eg, 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (F)), or the normal temperature range (eg, 97.5F to 99.5F) may span values around the normal temperature value.

Controller 100 may send the results of the analysis to a display or user interface, as discussed in detail below. When the temperature exceeds a threshold, the controller 100 may generate a message as an alert to the user. As discussed in more detail in other embodiments, a display may be integrated with the healthcare mirror 101 to provide results of the analyzed data to a user of the healthcare mirror 101 .

The controller 100 may generate a log or diary for the sensor data. That is, when sensor data is collected, the sensor data can be stored in memory with an associated timestamp that records when the data was collected. Likewise, sensor data may be stored with the user's identity, which may be determined using any of the various techniques described herein.

Controller 100 can access logs to determine if an alarm should be generated. This alert can be displayed on the health mirror 101 . The alert can signal to the user that they may be experiencing a medical condition. This alert can signal to subsequent users of the hygiene mirror 101 that other users are experiencing a medical condition. For example, in a family, when a family member has a health condition, other members will be alerted through the health mirror 101 . Similarly, in hotels, dormitories, and public restrooms, the controller 100 can determine when a user has a health condition, and display an alarm to other users to let other users notice the risk.

A user's log may include when the user arrives or leaves the bathroom, the user's sequence of activities, the user's hand washing time and/or order, the user's shower time, hair washing frequency, hand washing frequency, body washing frequency, toilet usage time, toilet usage frequency , electricity usage, time spent in front of, or proximity to, a mirror.

In another embodiment, the analysis of the sensor data can be linked to the bathroom entrance or the lock on the bathroom door. The sensor 10 may be mounted on the exterior door of the bathroom. Before allowing access to the bathroom, the controller 100 determines whether the user is experiencing a healthcare condition. For example, the controller 100 may compare sensor data to a temperature threshold and only unlock or allow access to the bathroom if the temperature does not exceed the threshold. In addition to temperature, other user characteristics may also be used. For example, sensor 10 may detect the presence of a certain viral infection or antibodies thereto.

In addition to access control, other services in the bathroom, such as light, water, and flushing functions, are only activated when the controller 100 determines that the user is not currently in a health condition. Accordingly, the controller 100 may compare the user's temperature to a threshold and generate a command to turn off the lights, turn off the water, or turn off one or more appliances when the user's temperature is indicative of a health condition. In this case, restricting access to the bathroom can protect the bathroom or virus contamination.

The controllers 100 may send the analysis results to the communication network 22 directly or via a communication bus to transfer data between the controllers 100 . Communications network 22 may be coupled to or include servers, network devices (another computer connected to communications network 22), and communications buses. Through the communication network 22, the controller 100 may send information including analysis results or sensor data to a central controller, which may be implemented by a network device or a server. A central controller can perform the analysis of the sensor data. A central controller can compile sensor data from multiple hygiene mirrors 101 . The central controller may be a cloud device configured to communicate with multiple network devices located at multiple locations (eg, different homes or businesses) for multiple healthcare mirrors 101 . The central controller can implement a cloud service that coordinates and analyzes data from multiple health mirrors 101 . Any one of the hygienic mirrors 101 or a plurality of hygienic mirrors may receive a report from the central controller indicating that a health condition exists at any other hygienic mirror 101 . The controller 100 may generate and display an alert on the health mirror 101 in response to the health status broadcast by the central controller. The controller 100 may be configured to analyze the data used to track the user and responsively calculate instructions to the user.

In another embodiment, health mirrors can be managed according to geographic regions. The controller 100 can identify the location of the hygienic mirror and include that location with report analysis to the central controller. The controller 100 may receive the location from a positioning device (eg, a global positioning system (GPS)), the communication network 22 (eg, an IP address), or from user input. A central controller can organize health data based on location. The central controller can identify geographic areas (eg, neighborhoods, neighborhoods, towns, etc.) that are experiencing statistically significant health conditions. The central controller can use the health event density, which can be measured in events per unit area. A central controller can send alerts to health mirrors or other mobile devices within a defined geographic area. The central controller may receive area data describing areas representing mirrors.

Multiple health mirrors can be a set for hospitals, dormitories or hotels. Each room in a building or a campus of buildings can be indexed so that sensor data received at the server is organized by room. The controller 100 or server can identify health conditions in one room and report the health conditions to other rooms. When one of the rooms (that is, the user in the room) has a health condition, the health mirrors in other rooms can display an alarm. In this way, occupants are alerted when health conditions develop within the same building or complex.

In one example, data analysis occurs primarily on network devices, which may be referred to as a local analysis embodiment. In another example, data analysis occurs primarily on a server or another remote device, which may be referred to as a remote analysis embodiment. Hybrid embodiments may include a combination of data analysis on network devices and servers.

Sensor data can be aggregated from multiple health mirrors in order to set predetermined thresholds for comparison. For example, when sensor 10 is a thermometer, the temperature values may be averaged to determine a temperature threshold. Different temperature thresholds may be used for different geographic regions. Different temperature thresholds may be used for different demographic groups. That is, different temperature thresholds may be calculated for female users and male users. Different threshold temperatures may be calculated for users of different age groups.

The server may receive information about the user's health characteristics from the health mirror 101 and other data sources, such as receiving other users' health characteristics from other health mirrors. As described in more detail below, aggregated data from multiple users may be combined to provide a health assessment of a larger geographic area, such as a neighborhood, town, or region.

The controller 100 may pack or preprocess data in a predetermined format and transmit the data to a server. Network devices can filter data based on type. Example types include audio data, image data, location data, biometric data, environmental data, or other types. For image data, the controller 100 may analyze an image of at least a part of the user. For location data, network devices can determine a user's location based on proximity through analysis of images (for example, pattern matching or line detection) or through distance-based sensors. For biometric data, network devices may collect temperature data (e.g., thermal signatures) from temperature sensors or infrared sensors, fingerprint data from fingerprint sensors, or eye data from retinal scanners. For environmental data, network devices may collect temperature, humidity, or other environmental information.

In one example, the health status is selectable by the user. For example, users can ask to keep temperature logs to track ovulation cycles. The controller 100 can monitor temperature readings to determine when the temperature has reached a predetermined ovulation range. When a predetermined ovulation range occurs, the controller 100 generates information from the health mirror 101 to notify the user.

The temperature data can be collected at predetermined time intervals. Temperature data may be collected in response to receiving a user identity. The communication interface 353 is means for receiving temperature data.

In act S105, the controller 100 (eg, via the processor 300) analyzes the sensor data. In act S107, the controller 100 (eg, via the processor 300) generates information based on the analysis of the temperature data. This information may be an alert displayed on the hygiene mirror 101 . A portion of the mirror substrate may be covered by a liquid crystal display, or the display may be otherwise integrated with the mirror, which is configured to provide the results of the analysis data to a user of the healthcare mirror 101 . FIG. 7 shows exemplary internal sensors of the hygiene mirror 101 . A sensor cavity 150 (eg, a camera module) is mounted on the mirror frame. The sensor cavity 150 is a housing inside the mirror frame, in which the sensor and/or camera 151 is housed. The camera 151 is configured to collect images of one or more users in the vicinity of the healthcare mirror 101 . The sensor cavity 150 may be formed of plastic or metal. The sensor cavity 150 may be coupled with one of the mirror's interior shelves 149 . The sensor cavity 150 may include other types of sensors in addition to or instead of cameras. In addition, the sensor cavity 150 may include the controller 100, which may also be considered as another example of a control module.

In one example, the viewing angle of the camera can be selectively closed or opened by the door 152 of the mirror frame. When the door 152 is opened, the camera has an unobstructed path to collect images of the user. Alternatively, when the sensor cavity 150 includes a temperature sensor, the space between the temperature sensor and the user is selectively closed or opened by the door 152 .

FIG. 8 illustrates an example retractable cover 153 configured to cover an aperture to selectively block a sensor or camera in sensor cavity 150 . FIG. 9 illustrates an exemplary cover switch 154 for a retractable cover 153 . FIG. 10 shows a top view of a cover switch 154 for a retractable cover 153 .

The retractable cover 153 is connected to the cover switch 154 in the sensor cavity 150 through a driving structure, and the driving structure converts the movement of the cover switch 154 in the first direction to the movement of the retractable cover 153 in the second direction. The first direction may be perpendicular to the second direction. When the switch 154 is pressed, the retractable cover 153 slides to open the field of view of the camera or the sensing path of another sensor.

153。When the switch 154 is released (ie, not depressed), the retractable cover 153 slides to close the field of view of the camera or the sensing path of another sensor. Cover switch 154 is actuated in response to operation of door 152 . Within sensor cavity 150 , cover switch 154 may be coupled to a spring that provides a force on switch 154 that biases switch 154 away from camera cavity 150 and/or toward door 152 . That is, when the door 152 is opened, the spring biases the switch 154 outward, and when the door 152 is closed, the door 152 is pressed against the switch 154 to close the switch and the retractable cover 153 .

In another embodiment, a flap spring is coupled to the retractable flap 153 to bias the retractable flap 153 in a biased orientation (ie, open or closed). In one example, a flap spring biases the retractable flap 153 open and against a piston connected to the switch 154 . That is to say, the retractable cover 153 is pushed away by the spring, but when the piston blocks the path of the retractable cover 153, the retractable cover 153 cannot be opened. When the switch 154 is depressed, the piston opens the channel of the retractable cover 153 and allows the retractable cover 153 to open.

In one example, the door 152 may include a cam surface 155 coupled to the mirror frame. The cam surface 155 is configured to actuate the piston when the mirrored cabinet door 152 is opened or closed.

FIG. 33A shows exemplary data collection for hair styling using the hygienic mirror 101 . The controller 100 analyzes the image of the hairstyle and compares the analyzed image with one or more templates. When a haircut or shave is overdue, the controller 100 can compare the image to a matching template. The controller provides information reminders to the user, reminding the user to shave, cut hair, brush eyebrows, bleach upper lip, or other types of hair growth. When coloring is overdue, the controller 100 can compare the image to a matching template. This information can connect the user to a hair salon or similar service. The controller 100 may compare the image with a template for hair styling, and notify the user when the user's hairstyle does not conform to the style.

In another example, the controller 100 may match the user's image with makeup base, makeup style, or makeup color and provide suggestions in the diagnosis information.

In another example, the controller 100 may generate one or more messages in response to a template match to obtain more information for diagnosis. Example questions could include "You look pale - are you okay?", "Your eye color doesn't look right, would you please move closer?", "I noticed a rash - you should get it checked Just a moment. Do you want me to set you up for an appointment?" or "Your skin looks dry -- I recommend the following creams."

FIG. 33B shows exemplary data collection for injury detection using the hygiene mirror 101 . The controller 100 analyzes the user's image to recognize the user's features. The controller 100 compares these features to one or more templates corresponding to swelling, bruising, toothache, acne, allergic reaction, bleeding, or other conditions visible on the user's face. The controller determines whether one of these templates matches the image, and if so, reports the corresponding situation to the hygienic mirror 101 or the central server.

FIG. 33C shows exemplary data collection for body analysis using the hygiene mirror 101 . The controller 100 analyzes the user's image to recognize the user's features. The controller 100 may compare images of the same area of the body taken over time to track appearance over time. Example conditions that change over time may include skin that changes over time, which may be related to health conditions (e.g., moles that change color, skin movement in respiration/respiration rate, blood vessel movement behind the skin, using machine learning algorithms to take into account the entire body or High-precision respiration rate for images of the upper body, and/or acne and bloating related to menstruation or hormonal changes). The controller 100 compares these features to one or more templates corresponding to identified skin tones, skin textures, bruises, swellings, cuts, scrapes, other injuries, and sunburns. When any of these conditions match an image, the controller 100 may generate an information alert to the user, or issue an alert to a central server or provided healthcare service. One example information is that potential physical abuse can be reported to local law enforcement facilities. One example message to the user is that "how the sun sees you" can be displayed, pointing out areas of the body that are not protected by sunscreen.

FIG. 33D illustrates exemplary data collection for dental and/or vision analysis using the hygienic mirror 101 . The controller 100 analyzes the user's image to recognize the user's features. The controller 100 compares these features to one or more templates corresponding to dental conditions such as caries, sunken gums, plaque, vision conditions related to eye movement such as concussion, dementia, autism , or for vision testing, macular testing, magnification, or eyeglass fitting for eyeglass prescriptions. 34A and 34B illustrate exemplary data collection for body size or growth analysis. The controller 100 analyzes the user's image to recognize the user's features. The controller 100 compares these features to one or more templates corresponding to body size scans/detections to assist in body size targeting and growth tracking. The controller 100 is configured to track the body shape and size of the one or more users based on a comparison of the first health characteristic and the second health characteristic.

As shown in 34A, as a result of body scanning using the sensor 10 of the healthcare mirror 101, an estimated image 405 of the user may be displayed. In one example, changes in shape or other physical characteristics are determined by comparing the first body image 405 with the second body image 406 . The controller 100 can measure differences in body structure, height and weight. Additionally, one of the external sensors connected to the healthcare mirror 101 may also include an external scale for the user to stand on and provide weight/mass data to the healthcare mirror 101 .

A similar concept could also be applied to pregnancy. The controller 100 compares the image of the body to one or more templates to calculate a measurement of palace height, which is recorded with a time stamp. The controller 100 calculates the number of weeks of pregnancy. For example, the number of weeks of gestation may be equal to (current date - (expected date - 40 weeks)). If the gestational week is >= equal to or greater than 20 weeks, then the target palace height is equal to the number of weeks in centimeters (the palace height at 20 weeks should be 20 cm). If the palace height is +/- 2.1 centimeters compared to the predicted palace height, the controller 100 may generate an alarm or warning. This information may indicate that the baby may not be growing normally. This information can automatically contact a registered physician. If the measurements indicate average growth, the controller 100 may issue a message including encouragement.

Figure 34C shows a contour comparison of the body shape 407. The controller 100 may generate the difference of the body shape 407 through the comparison of the first body image 405 and the second body image 406 . Can be tracked for weight loss programs, fitness training programs, growth of babies or children. The controller 100 may provide goal setting for anatomy. The controller 100 may provide predictive analysis of trends by comparing the first body image 405 with the second body image 406 to create a future profile of a person based on current trends.

For example, each wall of the front and rear housings may include a groove configured to receive a portion of the first O-ring seal 761 .

A neck 752 of the dispenser extends from an outlet opening 760 at the end of the front housing 756 . Neck 752 may have a frusto-conical shape as shown in FIG. 38B, a cylindrical shape, or any other suitable shape. The neck 752 is configured to have a relatively large aspect ratio, where the aspect ratio is the ratio of its length (along the longitudinal axis) to its width (eg, diameter). For a frustoconical neck, its diameter can be considered to be its average diameter, since it will vary along the length. Hole 762 extends through neck 752 , delivering fluid to head 753 . Neck 752 may extend into the cavity of the housing and out from inlet opening 758 of rear housing 757 such that the inlet of the bore acts as a liquid supply channel 759 to receive fluid from a fluid source. The neck may further include a shoulder 763 configured to seat in the outlet opening 760 of the front housing 757 . A second O-ring seal 764 may be disposed between neck 752 (eg, shoulder 763 ) and front housing 756 (eg, an inner surface defining the end of outlet opening 760 ).

The head 753 of the dispenser 750 includes an atomizing surface 765 configured to dispense atomized particles of the fluid into the air as a mist. As shown in FIG. 38B , head 753 has a generally pyramidal shape that tapers in size from a base disposed on the distal end of neck 752 to a tip that is the outermost end of dispenser 750 . Head 753 may have a hemispherical shape. Head 753 includes holes that are extensions of holes 762 in neck 752 for dispensing fluid from nozzles in head 753 .

As also shown in FIG. 38B, the dispenser includes an active electrode 767, a ground electrode 768, and at least one piezoelectric crystal 769 (eg, two piezoelectric crystals 769 sandwiching the active electrode 767). Each piezoelectric crystal 769 may have a generally annular shape with a portion of the liquid supply channel 759 passing through an opening (eg, a central opening) in the piezoelectric crystal 769 . The active electrode 767 may have a substantially annular shape with a portion of the liquid supply channel 759 passing through an opening (eg, a central opening) in the active electrode 767 . The piezoelectric crystal 769 and electrodes may be disposed between a horn 770, which may be a generally annular piece of titanium, and the shoulder 763 of the neck 752. Ground electrode 768 extends between the inner surface of the housing (eg, at least a portion of front housing 756 , rear housing, or both) and active electrode 767 and the outer surface of each piezoelectric crystal 769 .

769。Also shown in FIG. 38B , the dispenser includes a connector 771 . For example, connector 771 may be an electrical connector for providing an electrical connection to a broadband ultrasound generator. Connector 771 is electrically connected to active electrode 767 and/or each piezoelectric crystal 769 such that electrical signals received from the broadband ultrasound generator are passed to active electrode 767 and/or each piezoelectric crystal 769 .

During operation, as the fluid passes through the liquid supply channel 759 , the dispenser 750 atomizes the fluid by electrical signals received via the connector 771 . An atomized fluid, eg, a mist having a generally parabolic cross-sectional shape, is dispensed from the head 753 away from the body 751 .

Referring to FIG. 39 , the disinfection box 420 located inside the hygiene mirror 101 may be connected to a switch 426 for operating a disinfection device 425 . Switch 426 may be actuated by a user (eg, pressing a button) to turn on disinfection device 425 . Switch 426 is actuatable by door 152 . That is, when the door 152 is closed, the door 152 presses the switch 426 to open the disinfection device 425 . Alternatively, the disinfection device 425 can be activated and controlled using a mobile device or the control interface of the healthcare mirror 101 .

In another option, the disinfection box 420 is omitted, and the disinfection device 425 is installed inside the hygiene mirror 101 . Therefore, the radiation or the disinfectant released by the disinfecting device 425 fills the cavity of the hygiene mirror 101 itself.

In another embodiment, the sanitizing device 425 may include a water heater included in the sanitizing device 425 . The water heater is configured to heat water in response to an activation command of the sanitizing device 425 . Water can be heated to a temperature high enough to kill bacteria and/or viruses. The temperature of the water can be limited to protect rubber seals and other components. The sanitizing device 425 may heat the water provided to the faucet. Thus, the user may choose to prepare the sanitizing bath in the sink 431 . A user may place any of the items described herein in the sanitizing bath in sink 431 .

Sterilization box 420 may include a display configured to provide operational information of sterilization device 425 and status information indicative of one or more of the following actions.

In action S601, the disinfection device 425 receives a disinfection preparation signal of the disinfection device. The sterilization readiness signal may be based on sensor data detecting the presence of items in the sterilization bin 420 . Thus, when the sensor detects an item in the sterilization bin 420, a sterilization readiness signal is generated. Alternatively, the sterilization ready signal may be generated in response to a lock or closure mechanism when the sterilization case 420 is closed. For example, the latch may include three positions, such as "open," "closed," and "ready," where the ready position causes the sanitizing device 425 to generate a sanitizing ready signal.

In action S603, the disinfection device 425 receives an activation signal at the disinfection device. The activation signal can be generated according to user settings. For example, sanitizing device 425 may be set to operate at certain times of day. The user may set the sanitizing device 425 to sanitize at night (eg, at 3 am) or at other specific times of the day, day of the week, or day of the month. Additionally, sanitization can be triggered by external events. An external event may be information received from an external device describing whether a virus outbreak is occurring in a geographical area including the healthcare mirror 101 . An external event could be information describing a government rule or regulation related to disinfection. Activation signals can be generated on used inputs (eg sanitize button now). The activation signal may be triggered by switch 426 when door 152 is closed.

In action S605, the disinfection device 425 is activated in response to the activation signal and the disinfection ready signal. That is, only when the sterilizing device 425 is deemed ready for operation by the sterilizing ready signal and receives an operation command from a user through the activation signal, the sterilizing device 425 is turned on to discharge the sterilizing agent or radiation. Activating the sterilization device 425 includes releasing a sterilization gas and/or emitting radiation in the sterilization chamber 420 .
