Description

Adjustable stand for display

The present application relates to a display screen support, in particular to a height-adjustable wall-mounted display screen support.

Background technique

Flat-screen TVs, gaming monitors, or other devices with display screens are typically mounted so that the center of the screen is at eye level with the viewer. Viewers may feel uncomfortable viewing displays that are significantly above or below eye level for extended periods of time. But even so, many homes still choose to mount the display on the wall above the fireplace, with the most common location being a mantel that juts out from the wall. When the display is mounted in this position, viewers standing behind can see the display completely without any obstruction, but the screen in this case is usually higher than eye level, especially for seated viewers eye level. For this reason, some display wall mounts include linkages to lower and return the display to its stowed position on the fireplace. This type of linkage typically keeps the display close to the wall when the display is in the stowed position above the fireplace, and away from the wall when the display is lowered for viewing The screen touches the mantelpiece.

Viewing is best when viewing the display from the front (that is, viewing the display on a line perpendicular to the center of the display). Once you deviate from this optimal viewing position, the viewing effect will decrease. For example, viewing the display at an angle to the side, or at an angle to the top or bottom edge may be significantly compromised. To ensure optimal viewing at all times, some display mounts allow the display to be swiveled side to side and/or tilted up and down to reduce the angle from eye level.

Displays come in a variety of sizes. The support interface configurations of display screens provided by different manufacturers are different, and the support interface configurations of different types of display screens are also different, and the support interface configurations of display screens will also change over time. Therefore, the support for the display screen is preferably capable of supporting display screens of different sizes and matching interfaces of different configurations. The larger the size of the display, the greater its weight. For large displays, make sure the stand is securely attached to the wall. Therefore, the display stand preferably includes optional mounting brackets to allow heavier displays to be mounted on walls of different configurations. Also, the heavier the display, the more difficult it will be for the user to adjust the height of the display. To this end, display screen mounts typically include counterbalancing mechanisms to reduce the force required to move the display screen. But the weight of different displays can vary widely, so the weight of this balancing mechanism should preferably be adjustable. Otherwise, if the load on the stand is too small, it will be difficult for the user to adjust the display screen up; if the load on the stand is too large, it will be difficult for the user to adjust the display screen down.

To sum up, there is a need for an innovative adjustable support for display screens used above a fireplace to meet the viewing needs of viewers in different positions and to install display screens with different sizes, weights and support interface configurations.
