Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 1, the display panel provided in this embodiment includes an array substrate 1 and a color filter substrate 2, wherein a first edge portion of the array substrate 1 includes a bonding region 11 (i.e., a bonding region) and a non-bonding region, and along a length direction of the first edge portion, at least one side of the bonding region 11 has the non-bonding region;
the color filter substrate 2 is connected with the array substrate 1 in a box-to-box manner, a notch corresponding to the bonding area 11 and a covering angle 21 corresponding to the non-bonding area are formed, and the covering angle 21 covers the corresponding non-bonding area.
In the display panel provided in this embodiment, a non-bonding region is disposed on at least one side of a bonding region 11 on a first edge portion of an array substrate 1, a cover corner 21 corresponding to the non-bonding region is disposed on a color filter substrate 2, and the cover corner 21 covers the corresponding non-bonding region; compared with the situation that the first edge part of the array substrate 1 is not covered by the color film substrate 2 at all, in the display panel provided by the embodiment, at least one side of the first edge part bonding region 11 of the array substrate 1 is of a double-layer structure covered by the color film substrate 2, so that the structural strength of the display panel at one end (i.e., a bonding end) where the first edge part is located can be enhanced, the possibility of breakage of the bonding region 11 caused by collision and the like in a factory process is reduced, the yield of the display panel is improved, and the cost is reduced; the possibility of the display panel breaking caused by external force (such as falling) can be reduced, and the service life of the display panel is prolonged.
In order to increase the strength of the display panel at the end of the first edge portion as much as possible and reduce the possibility of the display panel breaking at the end, and even the whole display panel, an alternative implementation mode is that both sides of the bonding region 11 have non-bonding regions along the length direction of the first edge portion.
In order to facilitate routing, when the bonding region 11 is specifically disposed, the bonding region 11 is disposed in the middle along the length direction of the first edge.
Specifically, when the color film substrate 2 is disposed, the notch corresponding to the bonding region 11 may be U-shaped, so as to facilitate processing.
Further, in order to improve the problem of stress concentration at the top corners of the cover corners 21 and reduce the possibility of cracking of the display panel, in an alternative implementation, the top corners 211 of the cover corners near the bonding areas are rounded.
Of course, in other embodiments, the notch on the color filter substrate 2 corresponding to the bonding area 11 may also have other shapes, for example: trapezoidal or other multi-morphic structures, and is not limited herein.
As shown in fig. 2, a polarizer 3 is disposed on a side of the color filter substrate 2 away from the array substrate 1, and in order to further protect the color filter substrate 2 and the array substrate 1, in an optional implementation manner, a direction perpendicular to a length direction of the first edge portion on the polarizer 3 is a first direction, and along the first direction, the polarizer 3 exceeds the color filter substrate 2.
The display panel further comprises a transparent cover plate 4 located on one side, away from the color film substrate 2, of the polarizer 3, an optical adhesive layer 5 is coated between the transparent cover plate 4 and the polarizer 3, and the transparent cover plate 4 and the polarizer 3 are connected through the optical adhesive layer 5. In order to prevent the glue overflow, in an alternative implementation, the polarizer 3 extends beyond the optical glue layer 5 along the first direction.
In a specific arrangement, the transparent cover 4 includes, but is not limited to, a glass cover.
If the first edge of the array substrate 1 is not covered by the color film substrate 2, before the transparent cover plate 4 is attached, silicone adhesive needs to be coated on two sides of the bonding region 11 in the length direction of the first edge to fill the space between the transparent cover plate 4 and the color film substrate 2 and protect the single-layer bonding region 11; however, the amount of the silicone adhesive and the application of the silicone adhesive to the transparent cover plate 4 affect the display effect, for example: the macular and blacking MURA problems (pressure-induced gap non-uniformity phenomenon) may occur.
In the display panel provided in this embodiment, the non-bonded regions on both sides of the bonded region 11 along the length direction of the first edge portion are covered by the covering corners 21 of the color filter substrate 2. When the transparent cover plate 4 is attached, the optical adhesive layer 5 enables no gap to be left between the corresponding color film substrate 2 (or the polarizer 3) and the transparent cover plate 4, so that the structural strength of the display panel can be enhanced to a great extent, and the display panel can be protected; at the same time, the problem of blackening MURA when silicone adhesive is used can be avoided.
The display device provided by the embodiment comprises the display panel provided by the content.
The display panel is provided with a non-bonding area on at least one side of a bonding area 11 on a first edge part of an array substrate 1, a covering angle 21 corresponding to the non-bonding area is arranged on a color film substrate 2, and the covering angle 21 covers the corresponding non-bonding area; compared with the situation that the first edge part of the array substrate 1 is not covered by the color film substrate 2 at all, in the display device provided by the embodiment, at least one side of the first edge part bonding region 11 of the array substrate 1 is of a double-layer structure covered by the color film substrate 2, so that the structural strength of the display panel at one end where the first edge part is located can be enhanced, the possibility of breakage of the bonding region caused by collision and other reasons in a factory process is reduced, the yield of the display panel is improved, and the cost is reduced; the possibility of the display panel breaking caused by external force (such as falling) can be reduced, and the service life of the display panel is prolonged.
The display device provided by the embodiment can be a mobile phone or a tablet computer.
The backlight assembly 100 of the display device may be disposed on a side of the array substrate 1 away from the color filter substrate 2.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, if such modifications and variations of the present invention fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention and their equivalents, the present invention is also intended to include such modifications and variations.
