Description

Pencil sharpener for sharpening pencil
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a pencil sharpener for sharpening pencils, i.e. for example drawing pens, writing pens, cosmetic pens or drawing pens.
Background
Different embodiments of such penknife are known in principle from the prior art.
It is also a known problem that in conventional penknife there is the possibility of a person inserting a finger into the sharpener channel, which may cause injuries, i.e. cuts, in particular by means of a typical knife-like or knife-like sharp element.
To solve this problem, the principle of providing safety means which make it difficult for at least a finger to enter the passage of the sharpener is known in the prior art. Reference is made in this respect, for example, to the principle described in german patent DE102009051667B4, which provides the sharpener with a safety element, which at least partially fills the gap in the safety position and releases the gap in the region of the cutting edge in the operating position.
Although this principle allows an effective and reliable protection against injury, the known solutions require improvements from the standpoint of various geometries and functions, for example with regard to the compact outer design of the sharpener or of the sharpener body, which also ensures a loss-proof arrangement of the respective safety element. There is also a need for improvements in manufacturing technology, i.e. in particular in efficient and intensive manufacturing.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved pencil sharpener.
This object is achieved by a pencil sharpener according to claim 1. The dependent claims relate to possible designs of the pencil sharpener.
A first aspect of the invention relates to a pencil sharpener for sharpening pencils, i.e. for example painting pens, writing pens, cosmetic pens or drawing pens.
The pencil sharpener comprises at least one-piece or multi-piece embodied sharpener body. The sharpener body may also be referred to or considered as the base of the sharpener.
The sharpener body is formed of a plurality of walls defining a spatial object configuration of the sharpener body. The sharpener body thus has a plurality of walls defining the spatial object shape of the sharpener body. The wall portions may differ in terms of geometrical parameters, i.e. for example size, arrangement, orientation, etc., and/or in terms of functional parameters, i.e. for example function. Each wall portion may comprise one or more wall sections.
The sharpener body has at least one sharpener channel extending at least partially through the sharpener body. At least one sharpener channel, typically of at least partially conical or conically tapering configuration, is provided in a known manner to receive a pencil to be sharpened with a sharpener.
The sharpener channel is defined directly by at least one first wall portion. Whereby the sharpener body has a first wall portion that directly defines at least the sharpener channel. The at least one first wall portion is thereby formed or arranged in the region of the sharpener body having the at least one sharpener channel and directly encloses a volume, which typically extends at least partially conically, defined by the sharpener channel. The at least one first wall portion is typically the wall portion which the pencil is in direct contact with the sharpener during sharpening, while the wall portion which is in direct contact with the pencil during sharpening.
The first wall portion is a wall portion defining or formed by the spatial object shaping of the sharpener body.
Since the sharpener channel is generally configured as described to taper or extend conically at least in regions, the at least one first wall section typically likewise has a conical or conical basic shape at least in regions.
The at least one first wall portion typically also defines an opening, in particular a (longitudinal) gap-like or gap-shaped opening, through which waste products, i.e. in particular debris, produced during the sharpening process can be discharged from the sharpener channel.
In addition to the at least one first wall portion, the sharpener body also has at least one second wall portion that does not directly define the at least one sharpener channel. The at least one second wall portion is thereby arranged or configured spatially spaced apart from the at least one first wall portion such that the second wall portion does not directly delimit the sharpener channel. The at least one second wall portion is typically a wall portion which is not in direct contact with the pencil and the sharpener during sharpening, and is a wall portion which is not in direct contact with the pencil during sharpening.
The second wall portion is a wall portion defining or formed by the spatial object shaping of the sharpener body.
It follows from the preceding embodiments that the at least one first wall section can for example form or be formed by an inner wall exposed with respect to the spatial object shaping of the pencil sharpener and the at least one second wall section can for example form or be formed by an outer wall exposed with respect to the spatial object shaping of the pencil sharpener.
The pencil sharpener is designed with a safety device which ensures that the pencil sharpener prevents the undesired introduction of a finger into at least one pencil sharpener channel, similarly in principle applicable to all human body parts. The safety device comprises at least one safety element which can be moved into a first position or orientation, which can also be referred to as a safety position or orientation, in which the safety element projects with the safety section into the sharpener channel by a first distance, and into a second position or orientation, which can also be referred to as an unsafe position or orientation, in which the safety element does not project with the safety section into the sharpener channel or projects into the sharpener channel by a second distance which is smaller than the first distance. As is also known, the safety element is typically determined by the manufacture and is designed to be secured against loss on the sharpener body or the sharpener body part. The at least one safety element is thus not a separate component, which is fastened to the main body of the pencil sharpener in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, for example, but is typically an integral part of the main body of the pencil sharpener as a result of the manufacturing process.
Transitioning the at least one safety element from the first position to the second position, typically by introducing a pencil into the at least one sharpener channel; the at least one safety element or safety section is accordingly pushed out of the sharpener channel by the pencil, as the at least one safety element is transferred from the first position into the second position. In particular, the pencil, on the basis of its size, exerts a force acting on the safety section, typically radially, about the symmetry or central axis of the at least one sharpener channel, which causes the at least one safety element to pass from the first position into the second position.
The at least one safety element is returned from the second position into the first position by the pencil introduced into the sharpener channel being guided out of the sharpener channel, typically, possibly, in particular as a function of deformation, by being loaded with a spring force; accordingly, the at least one safety element or safety section is no longer pushed out of the sharpener channel by the pencil, which is carried out as the at least one safety element is returned from the second position into the first position, possibly, in particular as a result of deformation, by applying a spring force. By the pencil being guided out of the sharpener channel, the force exerted on the safety section by the pencil on the basis of its size is eliminated, which brings the at least one safety element back from the first position into the second position.
The at least one security element can have the basic shape of a web or web. The security element sections of the at least one security element can be arranged or formed, for example, at an angle, i.e., in particular at right angles, in accordance with the orientation of the at least one security element, on the security element sections which define the basic shape of the connecting web or the connecting web of the at least one security element.
It is important that the at least one safety element is constructed in one piece or in one piece with the at least one second wall part. Various advantages result from the fact that the at least one safety element is constructed in one piece or integrally with the at least one second wall part. For example, the embodiment of the at least one safety element in one piece or integral with the at least one second wall part makes it possible to arrange the at least one safety element in a loss-proof manner on the pencil sharpener body and to achieve a compact outer shape of the pencil sharpener or of the pencil sharpener body. The embodiment of the at least one safety element in one piece or integral with the at least one second wall also has manufacturing advantages, since the at least one safety element can be designed at least jointly with the at least one second wall.
The one-piece or integral embodiment of the at least one security element is typically determined by the production and can result, for example, from the formation of the at least one second wall or the at least one security element in a casting process, i.e., in particular in a plastic injection molding process. The at least one second wall portion and the at least one safety element can thus be formed in a common casting process, it also being conceivable for the at least one safety element to be sprayed onto the at least one second wall portion or conversely to be sprayed onto the at least one safety element. Naturally, the entire pencil sharpener body can also be constructed in a casting process, i.e., in particular in a plastic casting process.
It is therefore generally applicable that the pencil sharpener or pencil sharpener body can be designed as a casting, i.e. in particular as a plastic casting.
Due to the fact that the at least one safety element is formed integrally or monolithically with the at least one second wall section, the geometry of the at least one sharpener channel does not change when the at least one safety element is transferred from the first position into the second position or vice versa. The movement of the safety element in its transition from the first position into the second position or vice versa thereby does not follow a movement, deformation or the like of the at least one first wall section, which can cause a change in the geometry of the sharpener channel. The geometry of the at least one sharpener channel is thereby not changed when the at least one safety element is transferred from the first position into the second position and vice versa.
Thereby, the at least one first wall portion is not deformed when the at least one safety element is transferred from the first position into the second position and vice versa. This is typically due to the at least one first wall section being spatially spaced apart from the at least one second wall section and correspondingly being mechanically, i.e. in particular kinematically, separated such that the transition of the at least one safety element from the first position to the second position and vice versa does not cause a deformation of the at least one first wall section.
Thereby improving the sharpener described herein from a geometric as well as functional standpoint; thus providing a better sharpener.
It has already been mentioned that the pencil sharpener body can be embodied in one piece or in multiple pieces, so that in principle two different embodiments are conceivable, which will also be described in detail.
In embodiments in which the sharpener body is implemented in one piece, the first and second wall portions may be constructed in one piece with the sharpener body. The pencil sharpener body is thus a one-piece component which comprises at least one first wall and at least one second wall and, respectively, at least one safety element.
In this case, the at least one first wall portion can be formed on or from the first main body section of the pencil sharpener, and the second wall portion can be formed on or from the second main body section of the pencil sharpener.
The at least one first wall portion may be a wall portion which forms the inside of the sharpener or sharpener body, in particular the inside which contacts the pencil during sharpening, or may be assigned to it or to it. The at least one second wall portion may be a wall portion which forms an outer side, in particular an exposed outer side, of the pencil sharpener or pencil sharpener body or may be assigned thereto or to it.
In the embodiment in which the sharpener body is designed in multiple parts, at least one first wall portion can be formed or arranged on a first sharpener body part and at least one second wall portion can be formed or arranged on a second sharpener body part which can be connected or connected to the first sharpener body part. The pencil sharpener body is thus a multi-part component set which comprises a first pencil sharpener body part and a first wall and a second pencil sharpener body part arranged or formed thereon and a second wall arranged or formed thereon.
At least one first connecting element may be arranged or formed on the first sharpener body part and at least one second connecting element may be arranged or formed on the second sharpener body part. The respective first connecting element is typically provided to interact with the respective second connecting element, in particular in a form-locking and/or force-locking manner, in order to form a particularly form-locking and/or force-locking connection of the body part of the pencil sharpener. The first connecting element can thus be in particular a form-locking connecting element, such as for example a projection, and/or a force-locking connecting element, such as for example a screw element. The second connecting element can thus be a corresponding mating form-locking connecting element, such as, for example, a receptacle for a corresponding projection, and/or a corresponding force-locking connecting element, such as, for example, a receptacle for a corresponding screw element.
The connection between the first sharpener body part and the second sharpener body part can in principle be released (damage-free or damage-free) or not (damage-free or damage-free).
The at least one first sharpener body part may be a part forming the underside of the sharpener or sharpener body or may be assigned thereto or thereto. The at least one second sharpener body part may be a part forming the upper side of the sharpener or sharpener body or may be assigned thereto or thereto.
The second sharpener body component may have, for example, a U-shaped or U-shaped basic shape. The at least one safety element may extend parallel to or at an angle to the arm of the second sharpener body part defining the basic shape of a U or U. The U-shaped or U-shaped basic shape may be suitable in a pencil sharpener body having a square basic shape, since it does not damage the pencil sharpener body. The foregoing also applies to other basic shapes of the second sharpener body component.
Whether the sharpener body is implemented in one piece or in multiple pieces, the at least one safety element is typically caused to transition from the first position into the second position as shown with at least partial movement of the at least one safety element. At least a partial movement of the at least one safety element is typically carried out relative to the at least one sharpener channel. The corresponding movement of the at least one safety element may be, for example, a tilting or swinging movement; the at least one safety element can thus be transferred into the first and second position and vice versa, for example by a tilting or pivoting movement about a bending, tilting or pivoting axis. A corresponding tilting or pivoting movement can also be achieved by at least partially bending the at least one safety element. The at least one safety element can thus be constructed in one piece with the at least one second wall part with a construction of the tilting or oscillating device comprising a bending, tilting or oscillating axis, for example defined by a punctiform or linear material weakening. The respective bending, tilting or pivoting axis can extend, for example, parallel to the symmetry or central axis of the sharpener channel or at an angle thereto, i.e. in particular at right angles.
In all embodiments, the pencil sharpener typically has at least one sharpening element, in particular in the form of a blade or a blade. The sharpening element is typically arranged on a wall of the sharpener body, for example by screwing or screwing, so that the sharpening element can act in a known manner with a blade-like or blade-like sharpening section on the pencil introduced into the sharpener channel.
All the embodiments described above are equally applicable to single sharpeners, i.e. sharpeners with (only) sharpener channels, as well as to multiple sharpeners, i.e. sharpeners with multiple sharpener channels.
A second aspect of the invention is directed to a method of sharpening a pencil. The method is characterized by sharpening the pencil using the sharpener according to the first aspect of the present invention. All embodiments relating to the pencil according to the first aspect of the invention thus apply analogously to the method according to the second aspect of the invention and vice versa.
The method may comprise the following method steps: the pencil is introduced into the sharpener channel of the sharpener body and is moved, i.e. in particular rotated, relative to the sharpener body, thereby removing material from the pencil, i.e. in particular the writing lead or the sheathing element sheathing the writing lead. As mentioned, the at least one safety element is transferred from the first position into the second position as a result of the introduction of the pencil into the sharpener channel. As also described, the at least one safety element is returned from the second position into the first position by the pencil being drawn out of the sharpener channel.

FIGS. 6 and 7 are schematic views respectively showing a sharpener according to a second embodiment;

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 to 5 show a principal sketch of a pencil sharpener 1 according to a first embodiment. The sharpener 1 is shown in perspective in fig. 1, in fig. 2 in a front view cut through (transversely), in fig. 3 in a top view, in fig. 4 in a perspective view, with a pencil 3 introduced into the sharpener channel 2, and in fig. 5 in a view cut through (longitudinally) the pencil 3 introduced into the sharpener channel 2.
The pencil sharpener 1 is generally used for sharpening pencils 3, i.e. for example drawing pens, writing pens, cosmetic pens or drawing pens.
The sharpener 1 comprises a sharpener body 4 which is formed by a plurality of wall sections 4.1-4.n defining the spatial object shape of the sharpener body 4. The wall portions 4.1-4.n may differ in geometrical parameters, i.e. e.g. size, arrangement, orientation, etc., and/or in functional parameters, i.e. e.g. function. Each wall portion 4.1-4.n may comprise one or more wall sections.
The sharpener body 4 has the already mentioned sharpener channel 2, which extends at least partially through the sharpener body. The sharpener channel 2, which is of at least partially conical or conically tapering configuration, is arranged in a known manner to accommodate a pencil 3 to be sharpened by means of the sharpener 1 (see, for example, fig. 4, 5).
The sharpener channel 2 is defined directly by the first wall portion 4.1. The sharpener body 4 thus has a first wall portion 4.1 which directly defines the sharpener channel 2. The first wall 4.1, which accordingly has the basic shape of an at least partially conical extent, is thus formed in the region of the sharpener body 4 having the sharpener channel 2 and directly encloses the volume of the at least partially conical extent defined by the sharpener channel 2. The first wall portion 4.1 is thus the wall portion which directly contacts the pencil 3 during the sharpening process performed by means of the sharpener 1, and the first wall portion 4.1 is therefore the wall portion which is directly contacted by the pencil 3 during the sharpening process.
The first wall section 4.1 typically also defines a (longitudinal) gap-like or shaped opening 4.5, through which waste products, i.e. in particular debris, produced during sharpening can be removed from the sharpener channel 2.
In addition to the first wall portion 4.1, the sharpener 4 also has a second wall portion 4.2 which does not directly delimit the sharpener channel 2. The second wall portion 4.2 is thereby spatially spaced apart from the first wall portion 4.1, so that the second wall portion does not directly delimit the sharpener channel 2. The second wall portion does not directly contact the pencil 3 during sharpening by means of the sharpener 1.
As can be seen from the figures, the first wall section 4.1 forms or can be formed by an inner wall exposed in the spatial shaping of the sharpener 1 and the second wall section 4.2 forms or can be formed by an outer wall exposed in the spatial shaping of the sharpener 1.
The sharpener 1 is designed with a safety device (not shown) which ensures that the sharpener prevents the undesired introduction of a finger into the sharpener channel 2, and similarly is also applicable in principle to all human body parts. The safety device comprises a safety element 5 having a basic shape of a connecting sheet or a shape, which can be transferred into a first position or orientation, which can also be referred to as a safety position and is shown in fig. 1 to 3, and a second position, which can also be referred to as an unsecure position and is shown in fig. 4 and 5, in which the safety section 5.1 of the safety element projects into the sharpener channel 2 by a first distance, and in which the safety section 5.1 of the safety element does not project into the sharpener channel 2 or projects into the sharpener channel by a second, comparatively small distance.
As can be seen in particular from fig. 4, 5, the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position by introducing the pencil 3 into the sharpener channel 2; the safety element 5 or the safety section 5.1 is accordingly pushed out of the sharpener channel 2 by the pencil 3, as the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position. In particular, the pencil 3 exerts a force acting on the safety section 5.1 radially with respect to the symmetry or central axis of the sharpener channel 2, which causes the safety element 5 to pass from the first position into the second position, on the basis of its size.
The safety element 5 is returned from the second position into the first position by pulling the pencil introduced into the sharpener channel 2 out of the sharpener channel 2 by a spring force which is loaded as a result of the deformation; accordingly, the safety element 5 or the safety section 5.1 is no longer pushed out of the sharpener channel 2 by the pencil 2, as the safety element 5 returns from the second position into the first position due to the spring force that is applied as a result of the deformation. By the pencil 3 being guided out of the sharpener channel 2, the force acting on the safety section 5.1 by the pencil 3 on account of its size is eliminated, which causes the safety element 5 to return from the first position into the second position.
Various advantages are obtained in that the safety element 5 is constructed in one piece or integrally with the second wall portion 4.2. The embodiment of the safety element 5 in one piece or integrally with the second wall 4.2, for example, allows the safety element 4.1 to be arranged on the sharpener body 4 in a loss-proof manner and a compact outer design of the sharpener 1 or of the sharpener body 4 to be achieved. The one-piece or integral construction of the safety element 5 also has advantages in terms of manufacturing technology, since the safety element 5 can be constructed at least jointly with the second wall section 4.2. Of course, the entire pencil sharpener 1 or pencil sharpener body 4 can also be constructed in the casting process, i.e., in particular in the plastic casting process.
The one-piece or integral embodiment of the safety element 5 and the second wall section 4.2 is typically determined by the production and can be derived from the formation of at least the second wall section 4.2 and the safety element 5 in a casting process, i.e. in particular in a plastic casting process. The second wall section 4.2 and the safety element 5 can thus be constructed in one common casting process; it is also conceivable to injection-mold the safety element 5 onto the second wall portion 4.2 or, conversely, to injection-mold the second wall portion 4.2 onto the safety element 5.
The safety element 5 is thus typically designed to be secured against loss on the main body 4 of the pencil sharpener by manufacturing. The safety element 5 is thus not a separate component, which is fastened to the pencil sharpener body 4, for example, in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, but is typically an integral part of the pencil sharpener body 4 as a result of production.
It is generally applicable that the pencil sharpener 1 or the pencil sharpener body 2 can be designed as a cast part, i.e. in particular as a plastic cast part.
Since the safety element 5 is embodied in one piece or integrally with the second wall portion 4.2, there is no change in the geometry of the sharpener channel 2 when the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position or vice versa. The movement of the safety element 5 in its transition from the first position into the second position or vice versa thereby does not follow the movement, deformation, etc. of the first wall 4.1, which can cause a change in the geometry of the sharpener channel 2. The geometry of the sharpener channel 2 is thus not changed when the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position and vice versa.
Thereby, the first wall portion is not deformed when the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position and vice versa. This is due to the fact that the first wall section 4.1 is spatially spaced apart from the second wall section 4.1 and accordingly is mechanically, i.e. in particular kinematically, separated such that the transition of the safety element 5 from the first position to the second position and vice versa does not cause a deformation of the first wall section 4.1.
With the movement of the safety element 5 relative to the sharpener channel 2, the safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position or vice versa. The movement is for example a tumbling movement or a swinging movement; the safety element 5 can thus be transferred into the first and second position and vice versa, for example by a tilting or pivoting movement about a bending, tilting or pivoting axis which is oriented, for example, horizontally and (substantially) parallel to the upper and lower sides of the main body 4 of the pencil sharpener in the drawing. The safety element 5 can thus be constructed in one piece with the second wall part 4.2 with a construction of the tilting or swiveling device comprising a bending, tilting or swiveling axis, for example defined by a punctiform or linear material weakening.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1-5, the sharpener body 4 is of one-piece construction. The first and second wall portions 4.1, 4.2 are each seen to be of one-piece construction with the sharpener body 4. In this exemplary embodiment, the pencil sharpener body 4 is a one-piece component which comprises a first wall section 4.1 and a second wall section 4.2 and a safety element 5.
The first wall 4.1 is formed on or by the first main body section of the pencil sharpener, and the second wall 4.2 is formed on or by the second main body section of the pencil sharpener. The first wall portion 4.1 may be a wall portion forming the inner side of the sharpener 1 or the sharpener body 4 directly defining the sharpener channel 2 or may be assigned thereto or to it. The second wall portion 4.2 may be a wall portion forming an exposed outer side of the sharpener 1 or the sharpener body 4 or may be assigned thereto or to it.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 5, the pencil sharpener 1 or pencil sharpener body 4 also has at least one opening 7 (optional), which is suitable in terms of production technology, since it enables a sliding element of a casting tool to be easily introduced into the production of the pencil sharpener 1 by means of a casting method and/or the pencil sharpener body 4 to be easily released from the casting tool. In the illustrated embodiment, the at least one opening 7 is arranged or formed, for example, in the region of the front side of the pencil sharpener 1 or pencil sharpener body 4.
Fig. 6 and 7 show a principle view of the sharpener 1 according to the second embodiment. Fig. 6 and 7 each show a perspective view of the pencil sharpener 1.
Unlike the first exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 5, the second exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 6 and 7 relates to a variant of the multi-part embodiment of the pencil sharpener body 4, which is formed by a first pencil sharpener body part 4.3 and a second pencil sharpener body part 4.4.
It can be seen that the first sharpener body part 4.3 can be a part which forms the underside of the sharpener 1 or the sharpener body 4 or can be assigned thereto or to it and the second sharpener body part 4.4 can be a part which forms the upper side of the sharpener 1 or the sharpener body 4 or can be assigned thereto or to it.
It can also be seen that the first wall section 4.1 is formed on the first sharpener body part 4.3 and the second wall section 4.2 is formed on the second sharpener body part 4.4 which can be connected or connected to the first sharpener body part 4.3. The pencil sharpener body 4 is a multi-part component group which comprises a first pencil sharpener body part 4.3 and a first wall 4.1 and a second pencil sharpener body part 4.4 arranged or formed thereon and a second wall 4.2 arranged or formed thereon.
The second sharpener body part 4.4 has, for example, a U-shaped or U-shaped basic shape. The safety element 5 extends here, for example, parallel to the limb of the second sharpener body part 4.4 which defines the basic shape of a U or U. The U-shaped or U-shaped basic shape may be suitable in a pencil sharpener body 4 having a square basic shape, since it does not damage the pencil sharpener body. The foregoing also applies to other basic shapes of the second sharpener body component 4.4.
A first connecting element 4.3.1 is formed on the first sharpener body part 4.3 and a second connecting element 4.4.1 is formed on the second sharpener body part 4.4. The first connecting element 4.3.1 is designed to co-act with the second connecting element 4.4.1 to form a firm connection of the sharpener body parts 4.3, 4.4. In the illustrated embodiment, the first connecting element 4.3.1 is, for example, a form-locking connecting element, i.e., for example, a receptacle, and the second connecting element 4.4.1 is, for example, a corresponding form-locking connecting element, i.e., for example, a pin-shaped or pin-shaped projection that is undercut in the region of its free end. Of course, the opposite configuration of the respective connecting elements 4.3.1, 4.4.1 is also conceivable. The respective connecting elements 4.3.1, 4.4.1 are thus generally arranged to cooperate in order to form a form-locking connection of the sharpener body parts 4.3, 4.4. The same applies to other connection principles, for example to a force-locking connection principle.
Fig. 8 and 9 show a principle view of the sharpener 1 according to the third embodiment. Fig. 8 and 9 each show a perspective view of the pencil sharpener 1.
The exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 8 and 9 differs from the second exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 6 and 7 and from the first exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 5 in that the arrangement of the safety element 5 here also has a bending, tilting or pivoting axis which is oriented at right angles to the axis of symmetry or to the center axis of the sharpener channel 2 and is arranged here in the front region of the sharpener body 4, i.e. (approximately) above a not-shown entry opening in the sharpener channel 2.
Fig. 10 to 12 show a principle view of a sharpener 1 according to a fourth embodiment. The pencil sharpener 1 is shown in perspective view in fig. 10, 11 and in top view in fig. 12, respectively.
The embodiment shown in fig. 10 to 12 differs from the third embodiment shown in fig. 8 and 9, from the second embodiment shown in fig. 6 and 7 and from the first embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 5 in the arrangement of the bending, tilting or pivoting axis of the safety element 5, which is here also oriented parallel to the axis of symmetry or the central axis of the sharpener channel 2, which is here arranged on an arm of the sharpener body part 4.4.
It is generally applicable to the embodiments shown in fig. 6-12 that the connection between the respective first and second sharpener body components 4.3, 4.4 can be released (atraumatically or nondestructively) or cannot be released (atraumatically or nondestructively).
In all embodiments, the pencil sharpener 1 or the pencil sharpener body 4 has a sharpening element 6, in particular in the form of a blade or a blade. The sharpening element 6 is arranged, for example, by screwing or screwing, on a wall, not shown in detail, of the sharpener body 4, so that the sharpening element can act in a known manner with a blade-shaped or blade-shaped sharpening section on the pencil 3 or its writing core 3.1 or its envelope introduced into the sharpener channel 2. The wall on which the sharpening element 6 is located can be the second wall 4.2 or a wall section thereof.
The method of sharpening a pencil 3 can be carried out with the aid of the pencil sharpener 1 shown in the drawing. The method may comprise the following method steps: the pencil 3 is introduced into the sharpener channel 2 of the sharpener body 4 and is moved, i.e. in particular rotated, relative to the sharpener body 4, whereby material is stripped off the pencil 3, i.e. in particular the writing lead 3.1 or the envelope 3.2 which encloses the writing lead 3.1. As a result of the introduction of the pencil 3 into the sharpener channel 2, as shown for example in fig. 4, 5, the respective safety element 5 is transferred from the first position into the second position. As also described, the safety element 5 is returned from the second position into the first position by the pencil 3 being guided out of the sharpener channel 2.
Although the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures always show a single sharpener, i.e. a sharpener with a (single) sharpener channel 2, all embodiments are likewise suitable for multiple sharpeners, i.e. sharpeners with a plurality of sharpener channels 2.
Individual, multiple, or all features associated with one embodiment may be combined with individual, multiple, or all features associated with another embodiment.
