Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It is to be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not limiting of the invention. It should be further noted that, for the convenience of description, only some of the structures related to the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of the structures.
As mentioned in the background art, the driving capability of the existing pixel driving circuit is weak at high frequency, the applicant has found through careful study that the reason for this technical problem is: in an existing pixel driving circuit (for example, a 7T1C pixel driving circuit known in the art), a control terminal of a driving module is initialized with a reference signal in an initialization stage, and in a threshold compensation stage, an initial potential of the control terminal of the driving module is a potential of the reference signal, and a difference between the potential of the reference signal and a potential when the driving module is turned off (i.e., threshold compensation is completed) is large, so that a threshold compensation stage needs a long time to complete threshold compensation, and in a high frequency, because a time of each frame is short, a time for threshold compensation is insufficient, so that the existing pixel driving circuit cannot achieve high frequency driving.
In order to solve the technical problems, the invention provides the following solutions:
fig. 1 is a schematic circuit structure diagram of a pixel driving circuit according to an embodiment of the present invention, and referring to fig. 1, the pixel driving circuit includes a driving module 101, the driving module 101 is configured to provide a driving current to a light emitting module 102, and the light emitting module 102 responds to the driving current; the threshold compensation module 103 is used for capturing the threshold voltage of the driving module 101 to the control end of the driving module 101 in the threshold compensation stage by the threshold compensation module 103; the storage module 104, the storage module 104 is used for maintaining the electric potential of the control end of the driving module 101; and a coupling module 105, wherein a first end of the coupling module 105 is electrically connected with a control end of the threshold compensation module 103, and a second end of the coupling module 105 is electrically connected with a control end of the driving module 101.
Specifically, the Light Emitting module 102 may be, for example, an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED), the OLED is a current-type device, and the pixel driving circuit can be based on the data voltage VdataProviding corresponding driving current to drive the light emitting module 102 to emit light for display; the light emitting module may include, for example, an anode layer, a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, an electron blocking layer, a light emitting layer, a hole blocking layer, an electron transport layer, an electron injection layer, and a cathode layer, and the light emitting principle thereof is well known to those skilled in the art and will not be described herein again. The driving process of the pixel driving circuit may include an initialization stage, a threshold compensation stage and a light emitting stage, in this embodiment, in the threshold compensation stage, that is, when the threshold compensation module 103 is turned on, the electric potential of the control terminal of the threshold compensation module 103 changes, which is described by taking the threshold compensation module 103 as a high level off and a low level on as an example, when the electric potential of the control terminal of the threshold compensation module 103 is changed from a high level to a low level in the threshold compensation stage, it is assumed that the electric potential of the control terminal of the threshold compensation module 103 is VGL when the threshold compensation module 103 is turned on, and the electric potential of the control terminal of the threshold compensation module 103 is VGH when the threshold compensation module 103 is turned off, the electric potential of the control terminal of the driving module 101 is pulled down when the threshold compensation stage starts Wherein the storage module can be a storage capacitor, C1The coupling means may be, for example, a coupling capacitor, C, for the capacitance value of the memory means2The capacitance value of the coupling capacitor is, that is, the control end of the driving module 101 is pulled down at the beginning of the threshold compensation phase, in the threshold compensation process, the driving module 101 and the threshold compensation module 103 are both turned on, and the data voltage Vdata can continue to charge the storage module 104 until the potential of the control end of the driving module 101 is charged to Vdata + Vth, where Vth is the threshold voltage of the driving module 101, and the charging is ended at this time; in the present embodiment, the charge amount charged to the memory module 104 in the threshold compensation phase is Q1 ═ Δ V + Vth (C)1+C2) (ii) a In a conventional pixel driving circuit (e.g., 7T1C pixel driving circuit), the charge amount charged is usually Q2 ═ Vdata + Vth-Vref C1Wherein Vref is a reference voltage, through setting the value of the delta V, namely, the capacitance values of the storage module and the coupling module, the delta V + Vth is far smaller than the Vdata + Vth-Vref, and further the Q1 is far smaller than the Q2, so that the charging time of the storage module can be greatly shortened, and high-frequency driving is realized. In addition, only one coupling module is added, and two ends of the coupling module are respectively and electrically connected with the control end of the driving module and the control end of the threshold compensation module, so that additional signal lines do not need to be accessed, and therefore, the display panel adopting the pixel driving circuit of the embodiment can be used for wiring, the design difficulty is simplified, and the cost of the display panel is reduced.

By arranging the coupling module, when the threshold compensation stage begins, the potential of the control end of the driving module can be adjusted to the potential of the control end of the driving module when the driving module is cut off, so that less charges only need to be charged when the driving module is cut off in the threshold compensation stage, that is, less charges need to be charged in the threshold compensation stage, the time of the threshold compensation stage can be reduced, and high-frequency driving is facilitated.
Optionally, the capacitance value of the coupling capacitor is configured to beWherein, C1Is the capacitance value of the memory module, C2The Vth is the threshold voltage of the driving module; VGH is the electric potential of its control end when threshold compensation module switches off, VGL is the electric potential of its control end when threshold compensation module switches on.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the capacitance value C of the coupling capacitor is configured2And a capacitance value C of the memory module1And the value of Δ V- | Vth | is between 0V and 3V, so as to ensure that the potential of the control end of the driving module can be adjusted to the potential of the control end of the driving module when the driving module is cut off in the threshold compensation stage, and preferably, the value of Δ V- | Vth | is set to be close to 0V, for example, less than or equal to 0.1V, so that the charge required to be charged in the threshold compensation stage is less, the driving module is in a conducting state in the threshold compensation stage, and the smooth proceeding of the threshold compensation stage is ensured.
