Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of display technologies, and in particular, to an organic light emitting device with a flexible protective layer.
Background
The organic light emitting device has the remarkable advantages of self-luminescence, high response speed, low driving voltage, high contrast, wide color gamut, high luminous efficiency and the like, so that the organic light emitting device is widely applied to the technical fields of mobile phone screens, computer demonstration devices and the like, particularly flexible OLED display equipment has the characteristic of being bendable and easy to carry, and becomes the main direction for research and development of the display technical field.
The biggest problem restricting the development of the flexible OLED device at present is that the service life of the OLED device is short, and the main reason is that the electrode layer and the light-emitting layer materials forming the OLED device are resistant to water vapor and oxygen in the atmosphereGas is very sensitive and causes the performance of the device to be weakened after being eroded by water vapor. The encapsulation is one of the key processes for manufacturing the OLED device, and with the rise of the flexible OLED device, the encapsulation of the flexible OLED device is purposefully proposed, which requires that the permeability of the encapsulation structure to water vapor is lower than 5x10-6g/m2d, permeability to oxygen of less than 10-5g/m2On the other hand, the package structure is required to have a flexible property, which makes the conventional rigid package structure unable to meet the requirement, and new package materials and package structures represented by the thin film package structure are revealed.
Although the organic polymer film has good flexibility, the water vapor permeation resistance is very limited, the water vapor blocking capability of the compact pinhole-free inorganic film is high, but a compact high-quality film layer is difficult to prepare when the film layer reaches a certain thickness, the film performance is represented by a rigid structure and is easy to crack, most of flexible packaging researches are based on a packaging structure of an organic/inorganic multilayer film alternating composite structure, but the organic/inorganic alternating film packaging structure is complex, the high water vapor barrier performance cannot be achieved when the period of the alternating deposition film is too small, the service life of a device is influenced, the period of the alternating deposition film is too large, and when the number of the deposition film layers is too large, the process is complex, and the product yield is easy to reduce.
In the process of folding the flexible display screen inwards or outwards, the TFE, the polaroid and the protective layer structure on the outer layer of the flexible display screen generate certain acting force on the OLED. In addition, when the organic light emitting device is subjected to an external force, the conventional structure does not have an effective protective layer structure for protecting the organic light emitting device against the external force.

Detailed Description
So that the manner in which the above recited features and advantages of the present invention can be understood and attained by a person skilled in the art, a more particular description of the invention, briefly summarized above, may be had by reference to the appended drawings, in which like reference numerals refer to like elements, features, and embodiments. The drawings referred to below are schematic representations relating to the features of the invention and are not necessarily drawn to scale. The description of the embodiments related to the present invention will not be repeated, except for those skilled in the art.
Please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 2 first. Fig. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating an organic light emitting device having a flexible protective layer and fig. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating another more preferred embodiment of an organic light emitting device having a flexible protective layer, in accordance with the disclosed technology. In fig. 1, a flexible protective layer 12 is disposed between an organic light emitting device 10 and an auxiliary layer 14. In another embodiment, the flexible passivation layers 12 and 13 may be disposed on the upper surface and the lower surface of the organic light emitting device 10, respectively, and the auxiliary layer 14 is disposed on the flexible passivation layer 12 on the upper surface of the organic light emitting device 10.
Please refer to fig. 3. Fig. 3 is a schematic view showing a flexible protective layer having a plurality of minute holes. In fig. 3, the flexible protection layer 12 is made of a polymer material, which may be composed of polyurethane, polypropylene, and a composite polymer. Note that the flexible protective layer 12 may be formed in a manner of using a thermally induced phase separation method, a blending method, and a melt-spinning stretching method.
In addition, the flexible protection layer 12 has a plurality of micro holes 122 penetrating through the upper surface and the lower surface of the flexible protection layer 12, and in one embodiment, each of the micro holes 122 on the flexible protection layer 12 has the same diameter range and the same porosity, wherein the diameter range is 1nm to 5000nm and the porosity is 10% to 70%. In another embodiment, each of the pores 122 in the flexible protective layer 12 has a different diameter range and a different porosity. In the present invention, the purpose of forming the plurality of micro holes 122 on the flexible protection layer 12 is that the flexible protection layer 12 can be easily deformed at any time when the organic light emitting device 10 is bent inward or outward, and the micro holes 122 can also be beneficial to heat dissipation of the organic light emitting device 10.
Please refer to fig. 4. Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating that when the flexible OLED device with the flexible protection layer is bent outward, the plurality of micro holes of the flexible protection layer are deformed due to pressing. In fig. 4, when the organic light emitting device is bent outward, that is, in fig. 4, the direction indicated by the arrow and Fout indicates a force application direction, the auxiliary layer 14 is at the outermost side, and the flexible protection layer 12 and the organic light emitting device 10 are at the innermost side in sequence, the flexible protection layer 12 is pressed due to a mechanical action, so that the micro-hole 122 moves toward the middle of the drawing, and compared with the non-deformed flexible protection layer 12 having a plurality of micro-holes 122 in fig. 3, the micro-hole 124 after being pressed due to being bent outward is deformed into an ellipse shape with a longer top and a shorter bottom and two shorter sides.
Please refer to fig. 5 again. Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram showing that when the flexible OLED device with the flexible protection layer is bent inward, a plurality of micro holes of the flexible protection layer are deformed due to stretching. In fig. 5, when the organic light emitting device 10 is bent inward, i.e., the direction indicated by the arrow in fig. 5, and Finner indicates the direction of the applied force, i.e., the organic light emitting device 10 is on the outer side, and the flexible protection layer 12 and the auxiliary layer 14 are on the innermost side in turn, at this time, the flexible protection layer 12 is stretched 14 due to the mechanical action, so that the micro-holes 122 move left and right toward the two sides of the drawing plane, compared with the non-deformed flexible protection layer 12 having a plurality of micro-holes 122 in fig. 3, the micro-holes 126 after being stretched due to being bent inward are deformed into an oval shape with longer left and right sides and shorter up and down.
Therefore, the micro holes 122 on the flexible protection layer 12 can deform along with the bending of the organic light emitting device 10, when the flexible protection layer 12 returns to the original unstressed state, the micro holes 122 on the flexible protection layer 12 can also return to the normal state, and the flexible protection layer 12 with the plurality of micro holes 122 is in the unstressed deformation state, so that the organic light emitting device 10 cannot be damaged.
The above description is only for the preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention; while the foregoing is directed to embodiments of the present invention, other and further embodiments of the invention may be devised without departing from the basic scope thereof, and the scope thereof is determined by the claims that follow.
