Abstract

The invention relates to a timing drive system (90) comprising: a first moving member (10) including a first ring gear (10 a); and a second moving member (11) comprising a second toothed ring (11a), which is engaged with the first moving member and is designed to be driven by the first moving member; and a third moving member (14) comprising a third ring gear (14a), the third moving member being designed to engage with and be driven by the second moving member; the meshing of the first ring gear with the second ring gear is irreversible and the meshing of the third ring gear with the second ring gear is irreversible.

Description

Timing transmission system
The invention relates to a mechanical timepiece drive train. The invention also relates to a timepiece mechanism including such a system. The invention also relates to a timepiece comprising such a timepiece system or such a timepiece mechanism.
In timepieces, it is important that the elements indicating the time information or information derived from the time should not undergo uncontrolled movements due to movements of the timepiece wearer, shocks suffered by the timepiece or orientation of the timepiece. In short, it is important that the movement of the element indicating the time information or the information derived from the time should not be caused by the accelerations experienced by the timepiece.
This is particularly important when the element indicating the time information item or the time-derived information item exhibits a significant inertia, for example when the element indicating the time information item or the time-derived information item is a disc.
This problem does not arise for elements indicating time information or information derived from time, fastened or fixed to the moving means of the gear train, since these moving means are always kept under tension of the spring during operation of the timepiece.
However, for other elements indicating time information or information derived from time, connected to the gear train by a transmission with operating clearances, it is necessary to provide means for avoiding accidental movements thereof, in particular jerking thereof. Thus, for example, friction can be provided in the transmission, or an element indicating time information or information derived from time can be indexed in position by means of jumpers.
Such a scheme consumes energy and has an adverse effect on the time determination.
The object of the present invention is to provide a transmission system which makes it possible to remedy the above-mentioned disadvantages and to improve the systems known from the prior art. In particular, the invention provides a transmission system which can avoid accidental movement of elements indicating time information or information derived from time, without consuming too much energy and without adversely affecting the timing.
The system according to the invention is defined by claim 1.
Various embodiments of the system are defined by the dependent claims 2 to 8.
The mechanism according to the invention is defined by claim 9.
The timepiece according to the invention is defined by claim 10.
The method according to the invention is defined by claim 11.
The figures show an embodiment of a timepiece according to the invention by way of example.

An embodiment of the timepiece 200 is described below with reference to fig. 1 to 9. The timepiece is, for example, a watch, in particular a wristwatch. The timepiece comprises a timepiece mechanism, in particular a mechanical timepiece movement 100. The timepiece movement is, for example, of the manual winding type or of the automatic winding type.
For example, the movement comprises a gear train between the barrel and the oscillator. For example, the gear train comprises a 12-hour wheel 7, in particular a 12-hour wheel in the centre of the movement, on which elements for displaying hours, such as the disk 1 for displaying hours, are fixed. For example, this disc comprises a logo, such as a triangle or an arrow, cooperating with an index disc 3 provided on the movement or on an attached dial, in particular with an index disc comprising time marks 31. This fit may indicate an hour.
In this movement, the cannon pinion 4, which is part of the gear train, makes one revolution in 12 hours. The wheel 5 of the driving wheel 6 and the hour wheel are pressed against the minute wheel.
In this movement, the wheel 5 drives an element for displaying minutes, for example a disk 2 for displaying minutes. For example, the disc comprises a logo, such as a triangle or an arrow, cooperating with an indexing disc provided on the movement or on an attached dial, in particular with an indexing disc comprising time marks. This fit may indicate minutes. The same graduated disk can be used to indicate hours and minutes. The disc 2 is for example a disc crown.
The disc 2 is driven by the wheel 5 via a set of wheels 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. The wheels 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are gears with external sets of teeth. The wheel 12 is a ring gear with an internal set of teeth. The disc 2 is mounted or fixed on the ring gear 12.
For example, the ring gear 12 is guided on a frame 50 of the movement by means of rollers 51, in particular three rollers 51, mounted on the frame.
Thus, the disc 2 is driven by the wheel 5 via a transmission system 90 downstream of the wheels 5, 8 and 9.
The timepiece movement 90 comprises:
a first movement means 10 comprising a first set of teeth 10 a;
a second movement means 11 comprising a second set of teeth 11a, which is engaged with the first movement means and is intended to be driven by the first movement means; and
a third movement means 14 comprising a third set of teeth 14a for engaging with and being driven by the second movement means.
The meshing of the first set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible and the meshing of the third set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible.
The expression "the engagement of the first set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible" means that the engagement (in particular the set of teeth) is such that the first moving means can drive the second moving means in both directions and such that the second moving means can drive the first moving means in only one direction.
The expression "the engagement of the third set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible" means that the engagement (in particular the set of teeth) is such that the third moving means can drive the second moving means in both directions and such that the second moving means can drive the third moving means in only one direction.
In addition, the set of teeth is such that the second moving means can drive the first moving means in a direction opposite to the direction in which the second moving means can drive the third moving means.
Due to this design, the second moving means can neither drive the first moving means nor the third moving means when the second set of teeth is engaged with the third set of teeth unless it is driven by one of the first moving means and the third moving means.
As seen above, the second mobile device is a mobile device on which an element for indicating an item of time information or an item of information derived from time, in particular an element for indicating minutes, is fastened, in particular by engaging.
To achieve these irreversible properties, the first set of teeth includes teeth having an asymmetrical profile, and/or the third set of teeth includes teeth having an asymmetrical profile. By "asymmetric" profile is meant that each tooth has a first flank and a second flank that are asymmetric with respect to the radius of the first moving means or third moving means, respectively, passing through the apex of the tooth.
Preferably, the second set of teeth comprises teeth having a symmetrical profile. For example, the second set of teeth is a set of teeth having a standardized profile. This makes it possible to ensure that the first moving means is able to drive the second moving means in both rotational directions.
The first moving device 10 pivots on the frame 50 about the first axis 10 b.
The second moving device 11 pivots on the frame 50 about the second axis 11 b.
The third displacement device 14 pivots about a third axis 14b on an element 20 that is movable relative to the frame 50. The third mobile device may be freely mounted. There may be a slight friction against the rotation of the third movement means.
For example, the movable element is a lever that pivots on the frame 50 about the fourth shaft 20 b.
Advantageously, the movable member is movable between a first position in which the second set of teeth is in engagement with the third set of teeth and a second position in which the second set of teeth is not in engagement with the third set of teeth. The first position is preferably defined by a first stop 21, in which the displaceable member is in contact with the first stop 21. The second position is preferably defined by a second stop 22, in which the displaceable member is in contact with the second stop 22.
Advantageously, the system further comprises a selection element and/or a correction element. The displaceable element is then preferably arranged to be displaced upon actuation of the selection element and/or the correction element. Advantageously, therefore, the displaceable member moves to the second position when the member for selecting an hour correction is activated or when the hour correction member is activated. Additionally, the displaceable member may be moved to the first position when the member for selecting the hour correction is no longer activated or when the hour correction member is no longer activated.
The selection element and/or the correction element may comprise a rod 99.
In particular, movement of displaceable member 20 may be controlled via a drawer mechanism 98 (shown schematically in FIG. 8) controlled by a lever 99.
The manner in which the method for operating the timepiece 200 or movement 100 or the transmission system is carried out is described below.
Assume that the transmission system is initially in the configuration shown in fig. 8. In this configuration, the first moving device 10 rotates in the counterclockwise direction and drives the second moving device in the clockwise direction. As such, the second moving means drives the third moving means in a counterclockwise direction. In this configuration, the opposite sides of the second set of teeth are in contact with the first movement means on the one hand and the third movement means on the other hand.
If the second moving means is subjected to an acceleration tending to rotate it in a clockwise direction, an abutment will occur between the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth, preventing the second moving means from rotating.
If the second moving device is subjected to an acceleration tending to rotate it in the counterclockwise direction, a butt joint will occur between the second set of teeth and the third set of teeth, preventing the second moving device from rotating.
The teeth of the first group of teeth and the teeth of the third group of teeth are arranged and/or dimensioned such that at least one tooth of the first group of teeth is positioned with a minimum gap between two consecutive or adjacent teeth of the second group of teeth and such that at least one tooth of the third group of teeth is positioned with a minimum gap between the other two consecutive or adjacent teeth of the second group of teeth. For example, the above-mentioned clearance allows an angular travel of the second movement means around the second axis 11b between the two fixed parts in opposite directions of less than or equal to 10 °, or even less than or equal to 6 °, or even less than or equal to 4 °. It follows that the angular travel of the ring gear 12, and therefore the travel of the element 2 indicating the time information or the information derived from time, between the two fixtures in opposite directions about their axes of rotation, is less than or equal to 3 °, or even less than or equal to 1.8 °, or even less than or equal to 1.2 °. Due to this arrangement of the set of teeth, when the second moving means is loaded due to acceleration, an abutment is produced at the contact with the first moving means or with the third moving means, which fixes the second moving means. This docking is performed after the above-mentioned gap is compensated. This motion is not visible to the user in view of the gap value. In addition, this abutment fixes the second displacement means and prevents movements that might otherwise be transmitted by the wheels 5, 8, 9 and 10 and might overcome the friction torque at the cannon pinion.
The movable member moves from a first position where the second set of teeth is in engagement with the third set of teeth to a second position where the second set of teeth is not in engagement with the third set of teeth. This movement is achieved by the action of a selection element or a correction element. The transmission system is then in the configuration shown in fig. 9.
In this configuration, the first mobile device 10 is rotated in the clockwise direction and the counterclockwise direction to correct the hour indication.
The displaceable member is then moved from the second position to the first position. This movement is achieved by the action of a selection element or a correction element. The transmission system is then in the configuration shown in figure 8.
In the described embodiments, the element for indicating a time information item or an information item derived from time is a mobile device for indicating minutes. Alternatively, the element for indicating a time information item or an information item derived from time may be in particular an element for indicating a number of seconds.
In the described embodiment the element for indicating a time information item or an information item derived from time is a disc. Alternatively, the element for indicating an item of time information or an item of information derived from time may in particular be a pointer.
In the described embodiment, the third movement means are pivoted on the movable element. Alternatively, the third movement means may be pivoted directly on the frame. In this case, the second mobile device and the third mobile device remain permanently engaged and correction of the time indication can only be made in the clockwise direction.
All other types of sets of teeth than those described can be used to realize the first, second and third sets of teeth, provided they are able to realize the irreversible properties described above.
The transmission system has been described in an application for displaying timepiece information. However, it can be used in any application where it is necessary to ensure that the drive effected by the transmission system is irreversible.

Claims (11)

1. A timepiece movement system (90), comprising:
-first movement means (10) comprising a first set of teeth (10 a);
-second movement means (11) comprising a second set of teeth (11a), engaged with and intended to be driven by said first movement means; and
-third movement means (14) comprising a third set of teeth (14a) for meshing with and for being driven by said second movement means;
the meshing of the first set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible, and the meshing of the third set of teeth with the second set of teeth is irreversible.
2. A transmission system according to the preceding claim, wherein the first set of teeth comprises teeth having an asymmetric profile and/or the third set of teeth comprises teeth having an asymmetric profile.
3. A transmission system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second set of teeth includes teeth having a symmetrical profile.
4. A transmission system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second movement means is a movement means on which an element (2) for indicating an item of time information or an item of information derived from time is fastened, in particular a minutes movement means on which a minute is fastened or a seconds movement means on which an element for indicating seconds is fastened.
5. A transmission system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the system includes a frame (50), wherein the first movement means is pivoted on the frame about a first axis (10b), wherein the second movement means is pivoted on the frame about a second axis (11b), and wherein the third movement means is pivoted on an element (20) movable relative to the frame about a third axis (14 b).
6. A transmission system according to the preceding claim, wherein the movable element is a lever pivoted on the frame about a fourth axis (20 b).
7. A transmission system according to claim 5 or 6, wherein the movable member is movable between a first position in which the second set of teeth is in engagement with the third set of teeth and a second position in which the second set of teeth is not in engagement with the third set of teeth.
8. A transmission system according to any one of claims 5 to 7, wherein the system includes a selection element and/or a correction element, the movable element being arranged to be moved in dependence on actuation of the selection element and/or the correction element.
9. Timepiece mechanism (100) comprising a system (90) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, in particular a timepiece movement, in particular a mechanical timepiece movement.
10. Timepiece (200) comprising a mechanism according to the preceding claim and/or a system according to any one of claims 1 to 8, in particular a watch.
11. Method for operating a timepiece system according to any one of claims 5 to 8 or a timepiece mechanism comprising a timepiece system according to any one of claims 5 to 8 or a timepiece comprising a timepiece system according to any one of claims 5 to 8, the method comprising the steps of:
-moving the movable member from a first position in which the second set of teeth is in engagement with the third set of teeth to a second position in which the second set of teeth is not in engagement with the third set of teeth;
-correcting the timepiece indication by rotating the second movement means in the first direction or the second direction;
-moving the displaceable member from the second position to the first position.
