The invention relates to a steam generation system and a control method of an air fryer with a cooking function, wherein the air fryer comprises a machine body and a cooking cavity arranged in the machine body, the steam generation system comprises a controller, a water tank, a water pump and a steam generator which are sequentially communicated, the steam generator is used for spraying steam into the cooking cavity, and the controller is respectively electrically connected with the water pump and the steam generator; a cavity temperature sensor is arranged in the cooking cavity, is electrically connected with the controller and is used for detecting the temperature T in the cavity and sending the temperature T to the controller; wherein the controller is to: when T is detected to be more than or equal to T0When the water pump is started, the control reduces the water pumping quantity of the water pump and/or reduces the power of the steam generator. As another embodiment of the cooking chamber of the present invention, the volume of the cooking chamber 2 is 10L, and the volume of the corresponding water tank 4 is 1500m L.
The volume of the water tank 4 can be adjusted according to the actual need.
