8. A cleaning head according to claim 7, wherein the housing has a scraper extending into the cavity adjacent the cleaning aperture for engaging the bristles.

9. The cleaning head as claimed in claim 8, wherein the direction in which the squeegee is disposed intersects the direction of the rotation axis of the drum.

10. A cleaning head according to claim 1 wherein the cutting edges of the first and second blades are provided in a toothed configuration.
