Background
The bullet holes are formed on the body when being hit by the bullets or the shrapnel in a battlefield, and are usually blind pipe injuries with single entrance or through injuries with single entrance and single exit, if the wounded person is not cured in time, the wounded person can bleed greatly to endanger life; there are three general types of conventional treatment means: 1. hemostasis is carried out by a surgical mode; but cannot be effectively implemented under battlefield conditions 2. Tourniquets or pressurizers are employed; complicated operation 3. The pressure is applied by using a triangular towel or a bandage, and the hemostasis can not be effectively achieved. However, these conventional approaches all suffer from different drawbacks:
1. For massive hemorrhage caused by large vessel injury in bullet injury through injury or blind pipe injury trajectory, if the traditional treatment means are adopted, the hemostatic treatment or external compression is only carried out on the wound of the skin surface, the effective hemostasis cannot be carried out, and the traditional vascular surgery in a hospital can only be adopted for suturing and repairing, but the battlefield condition is not provided, so that the casualties of a large number of wounded in the battlefield are caused.
2. The prior tourniquet and limb trunk juncture pressurizing hemostat is effective in hemostasis, but has complicated operation, and can cause remote limb ischemia due to the fact that a proximal blood vessel is pressed to achieve the purpose of hemostasis, limb necrosis accompanied by subsequent treatment is initiated, toxic metabolites of necrotic tissues enter the blood circulation, heart and kidney failure death is caused, and amputation disability rate is increased.
3. Conventional bandages and triangular napkins are used and are ineffective for massive hemorrhage of deep or shallow large vessel lesions.
