Description

Method and system for reporting group terminal position
Technical Field
The present invention relates to mobile communication technologies, and in particular, to a method and a system for reporting a group terminal location.
Background
In an existing Broadband Trunking Communication (B-trunk) system, when a group is established, a core network may count a range (i.e., a Tracking Area (TA) where a UE is located) of a terminal subscribing to the group, and if there is a relevant terminal under the TA, the whole TA establishes group resources.
When the terminal moves to another cell, or the terminal is turned off, or the terminal is in the rest of the group, the group resource is still established at the corresponding position, which causes the waste of the group resource.
Therefore, it is defined in the existing standard that when a group is established, a terminal that selects to join the group session needs to report its own location and the selected group. The network side can count whether each user joins the group and the corresponding position.
In the above scheme, when a group is established, the network needs to select all terminals receiving the group to send the current location. A group may contain many users, which may result in the entire network triggering notifications for many users. The current definition in the B-Trunc system is through the Group Join message flow. In this scenario, network congestion may be caused, including air interface resources and network resources. Even if the terminal adds a smoothing mechanism, the problem is still serious for many group call scenarios with fast establishment and fast deletion.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
The core idea of the invention is as follows: the core network and the corresponding User Equipment (UE) need to record the position information of the UE and the network side synchronization respectively, when creating the group resource, the UE needs to judge whether the current position is the same as the position recorded by the network side according to the resource management granularity of the group notified by the network side, and only when the current position is different from the position recorded by the network side, the current position of the UE is reported to the network side, so that the number of the UE reporting the position information can be reduced to the maximum extent, and the network resource congestion caused by reporting the positions of all terminals in the group can be avoided.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a method flow of an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 1, a method for reporting a group terminal location implemented in the embodiment mainly includes:
step 101, when a preset non-access stratum (NAS) flow is triggered, a core network and corresponding user equipment UE respectively record the current location information of the UE when the UE is synchronized with a network side.
In this step, the UE synchronized location information will be recorded on both sides of the core network and the UE, respectively, using the preset trigger time of the NAS flow. Thus, when a group needs to be established, the UE can determine whether the current location of the UE is the same as the location of the UE recorded by the network side according to the synchronization location information recorded by the UE, and only when the current location of the UE is different from the location of the UE, the UE triggers reporting of the location information.
In practical application, when the NAS flow is preset, it is only required to ensure that the set NAS flow includes a link of synchronizing location information between the UE and the network side. Preferably, in order to save resource overhead and avoid unnecessary repeated updates, the NAS procedure may at least include: attach procedure, tracking area update TAU procedure, Group Join procedure, message direct transmission procedure, authentication procedure and Service Request procedure. Therefore, on one hand, the UE position information recorded by the network side can be synchronized with the real-time position of the UE as much as possible, so that the possibility of reporting the position information by the UE when the group is established can be reduced as much as possible, and on the other hand, the resource overhead generated by maintaining the UE position information by using the steps can be effectively saved.
Preferably, the location information includes a global cell identifier, a base station identifier, and a tracking area identifier. Thus, when a group needs to be established, the UE can determine whether the location information needs to be reported according to the resource management granularity of the group indicated by the network side.
102, when a group needs to be established, establishing group resources in tracking areas corresponding to tracking area lists of all UE in the group, and sending downlink group information of the group to the UE in the group; the downlink group information comprises the resource management granularity of the group; the resource management granularity is a cell range, a base station range or a tracking area range.
In this step, different from the existing scheme, when the network side issues the downlink group information of the group to the UE in the group, the UE needs to carry the resource management granularity of the group, so that the UE can select the corresponding location parameter accordingly, and determine whether it needs to report the location information to the network side by determining whether the location parameter changes when the last location is synchronized. Therefore, on one hand, the number of UE reporting the position when the group resource is established can be reduced, and the congestion caused by position reporting is avoided, and on the other hand, the flexibility of resource management can be improved by utilizing the resource management granularity of the group.
Preferably, the downlink group information may be a group paging message or a group NAS message.
Here, the resource management granularity of the group is used to set a location parameter according to which whether the UE location changes is determined. In practical application, the larger the resource management granularity is, the smaller the number of UEs triggering reporting positions when creating group resources is, and specifically, a suitable resource management granularity may be set by a person skilled in the art according to an actual cell congestion condition and the number of UEs in a group.
And 103, comparing whether the current position of the UE is the same as the position synchronized with the network side at the last time by the UE according to the resource management granularity in the downlink Group information, and if the current position of the UE is different from the position synchronized with the network side, triggering the network side to update the position information of the UE to the current position of the UE by initiating a Group Join flow.
In this step, when the UE receives the downlink group information delivered by the network side, it determines the location parameter according to which the UE location is currently determined to change according to the resource management granularity carried by the downlink group information, and then compares, according to the location parameter, whether the current location of the UE is the same as the location synchronized with the network side at the last time to determine whether the current location information needs to be reported.
Here, the last synchronized position recorded by the UE and the network side, that is, the position of the UE currently recorded by the network side, can be determined whether the position of the UE recorded by the network side is outdated by comparing whether the current position of the UE is the same as the position of the UE, and thus, if the positions are the same, it is determined that the position of the UE recorded by the network side is correct, and updating is not needed, and accordingly, the position of the UE does not need to be reported.
Preferably, the following method may be specifically adopted to compare whether the current location of the UE is the same as the location of the latest synchronization with the network side:
if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is in a cell range, comparing whether the identifier of the current cell of the UE is the same as the identifier of the global cell stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time;
if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is within the range of the base station, comparing whether the identifier of the base station where the UE is located is the same as the identifier of the base station which is stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time;
and if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is the tracking area range, comparing whether the identification of the tracking area where the UE is currently located is the same as the tracking area identification stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time.
It can be seen from the foregoing solution that, by using the foregoing embodiment, synchronization between the network side and the UE side with respect to the location of the UE can be ensured, so that when the network side manages the group resource, the group resource can be managed according to the current location of the UE, for example, the group resource in a cell without a user is deleted.
Preferably, in order to ensure the accuracy of the UE location recorded by the network side as much as possible, after the UE location changes, if there is a group service currently, the network side is triggered to update the location information of the UE to the current location of the UE.
Fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a reporting system of group terminal locations corresponding to the above method, and as shown in fig. 2, the system includes:
the core network server is used for recording the current position information of the corresponding user equipment UE when the current position information is synchronous with the network side at the core network side when a preset NAS flow is triggered; when a group needs to be established, establishing group resources under tracking areas corresponding to tracking area lists of all UE in the group, and sending downlink group information of the group to the UE in the group; the downlink group information comprises the resource management granularity of the group; the resource management granularity is a cell range, a base station range or a tracking area range;
the UE is used for recording the position information of the UE when the UE is synchronized with a network side when the NAS process is triggered between the UE and a core network; when the downlink Group information is received, comparing whether the current position of the UE is the same as the position synchronized with the network side at the last time or not according to the resource management granularity in the downlink Group information, if so, triggering the network side to update the position information of the UE into the current position of the UE by initiating a Group to Join a Group Join process.
Preferably, the NAS flow at least includes: attach procedure, tracking area update TAU procedure, Group Join procedure, message direct transmission procedure, authentication procedure and Service Request procedure.
Preferably, the location information includes a global cell identifier, a base station identifier, and a tracking area identifier.
Preferably, the downlink group information includes a group paging message or a group NAS message.
Preferably, the UE is configured to compare whether the identifier of the current cell where the UE is located is the same as the global cell identifier stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is in the cell range; if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is within the range of the base station, comparing whether the identifier of the base station where the UE is located is the same as the identifier of the base station which is stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time; and if the resource management granularity in the downlink group information is the tracking area range, comparing whether the identification of the tracking area where the UE is currently located is the same as the tracking area identification stored when the UE is synchronized with the network side last time.
Preferably, the UE is configured to trigger a network side to update the location information of the UE to the current location of the UE if there is a group service currently after the location change occurs.
In summary, the above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the protection scope of the present invention.
