Background
In the prior art, a Power connection assembly for electrically connecting an electrical device, such as a 5G wireless communication device, to an ac Power source generally includes a circuit board on which an electrical connector and a Power Supply module (PSU) are mounted. The circuit board is provided with an alternating current input interface which is suitable for being electrically connected to an alternating current power supply. The alternating current input terminal of the power supply module is electrically connected to the alternating current input interface on the circuit board through the alternating current connecting terminal of the electric connector. The power supply module is suitable for converting input alternating current into direct current. The circuit board also has a dc output interface thereon adapted to be electrically connected to the bus bar. The direct current output terminal of the power supply module is electrically connected to the direct current output interface on the circuit board through the direct current connecting terminal of the electric connector.
In the prior art, one end of the dc connection terminal of the electrical connector is soldered on the circuit board and electrically connected to the dc output interface on the circuit board via a conductive trace on the circuit board. In operation, heat generated at the dc terminals of the electrical connector is difficult to dissipate, which increases the temperature of the dc terminals of the electrical connector, thus greatly limiting the increase in the rated operating current of the dc terminals.
Furthermore, in the prior art, the entire electrical connector must be soldered to the circuit board, which increases the size of the circuit board and also increases the manufacturing cost of the circuit board.
