A compound needle for a flat knitting machine as claimed in claim 1, characterized by: the main needle is equipped with the orbit face towards needle cover one side, and needle cover is equipped with the bump towards main needle one side, and the bump cooperatees with the orbit face on the main needle, and when the needle cover moved along the main needle, the apex angle moved to the needle hook of closed main needle from the storage tank of main needle.

A compound needle for a flat knitting machine as claimed in claim 2, characterized by: the track surface of the main needle is positioned below the boss, the track surface consists of a plurality of smooth concave-convex surfaces, a first notch and a second notch are arranged on the track surface, and the convex point on the needle sleeve moves along the track surface; when the vertex angle of the needle sleeve is positioned in the accommodating groove of the main needle, the convex point is positioned at the second notch; when the top angle of the needle sleeve moves up to close the hook of the main needle, the convex point is positioned at the first notch.
