一些车辆风窗(windshield)和后窗利用上釉而在其上形成陶瓷层。陶瓷釉层可限定空隙(void)以显示诸如商标和标志的设计。通过空隙形成的设计可能相对于车辆的外部具有低的可见性，尤其是在使用深色陶瓷釉对玻璃上釉并形成用于设计的空隙时。
