Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for triggering a cache status report and user equipment. The method comprises the following steps: when monitoring that the data needing to be transmitted by the load bearing or the logic channel group is increased rapidly, comparing the increased data needing to be transmitted by the load bearing or the logic channel group with a preset threshold value; and if the surge data needing to be transmitted by the bearer or the logical channel group exceeds or is equal to the preset threshold value, triggering and reporting a conventional cache state report to the service base station. The invention can ensure that the UE can report the buffer status report in time when dealing with a large amount of burst data so as to inform the service base station to schedule uplink resources for the UE in time, reduce the transmission delay of a large amount of burst data and meet the service requirement with high transmission delay requirement.

Description

Method and device for triggering cache status report and user equipment
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of wireless technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for triggering a BSR, and a user equipment.
Background
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, a Buffer Status Report (BSR) is used to notify a serving base station User Equipment (User Equipment, UE) of the size of uplink data cached in a current logical channel group. And after receiving the BSR of the UE, the serving base station allocates uplink resources to the UE according to a corresponding scheduling algorithm, so that the UE can conveniently transmit uplink data. Currently, there are three BSR types of UE, namely regular BSR, periodic BSR and padding BSR.
The conventional BSR is currently triggered by several situations:
1) if uplink Data is available for transmission in a Radio Link Control (RLC) entity or a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity and all logical channels in a current logical channel group have no transmittable Data, triggering a conventional BSR;
2) if uplink data can be transmitted in an RLC entity or a PDCP entity and the priority of the logical channel is higher than that of the logical channel with data to be transmitted in any current logical channel group, triggering a conventional BSR (buffer status report) at the moment;
3) when a re-transmission BSR Timer (retxBSR-Timer) is overtime and UE has transmittable data in any one logical channel in a certain logical channel group, triggering a conventional BSR;
if a regular BSR has been triggered to be sent but there is no uplink grant at this time, the UE triggers a Scheduling Request (SR) to allow the serving base station to configure an uplink grant for the UE, which can send the regular BSR.
Triggering condition of periodic BSR: the periodic BSR Timer (periodic BSR-Timer) of the UE times out.
Trigger condition for padding BSR: the number of padding bits is greater than or equal to the short BSR or long BSR plus the length of its corresponding MAC subheader.
In the process of implementing the invention, the inventor finds that at least the following technical problems exist in the prior art:
after a certain service is established by the UE, when the UE suddenly generates a large amount of data to be sent, the UE just sends a conventional BSR and the periodic BSR is triggered for a long time, so the UE can send the periodic BSR to notify the serving base station that the bursty data needs to be sent only by waiting for the timeout of the periodic BSR timer, and the serving base station allocates uplink resources for sending the large amount of bursty data to the UE after receiving the periodic BSR. Therefore, in this case, the UE may not send the BSR to the serving base station for a long time, and the serving base station may not allocate uplink resources to the UE in time, so that the UE may not send data in time, which is unacceptable for a service with a high delay requirement.
Disclosure of Invention
The triggering method and device for the buffer status report and the user equipment provided by the invention can enable the UE to report the buffer status report in time when dealing with a large amount of burst data so as to inform the service base station to schedule uplink resources for the UE in time, reduce the transmission delay of the large amount of burst data and meet the service requirement with high requirement on the transmission delay.
In a first aspect, the present invention provides a method for triggering a buffer status report, where the method includes:
when monitoring that the data needing to be transmitted by the load bearing or the logic channel group is increased rapidly, comparing the increased data needing to be transmitted by the load bearing or the logic channel group with a preset threshold value;

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The invention provides a triggering method of a buffer status report, as shown in fig. 1, the method comprises:

Here, the UE determines data proliferation, that is, in a preset time, newly-added data exceeds or equals to a preset threshold, and the preset time may be 1/3 or 1/4 equivalent of the period length of the periodic buffer status report, so that the UE can accurately determine data proliferation, and can timely send a conventional buffer status report to the serving base station before the periodic buffer status report is reported, so that the base station can timely allocate uplink transmission resources for transmission of the data proliferation. The length of the preset time may be configured by the base station, or set by a protocol.
Compared with the prior art, the triggering method of the buffer status report provided by the embodiment of the invention adds a triggering condition of a conventional buffer status report, so that the UE can report the buffer status report in time when dealing with a large amount of burst data, so as to inform a service base station to schedule uplink resources for the UE in time, reduce the transmission delay of the large amount of burst data, and meet the service requirement with high requirement on the transmission delay.
The present invention provides a method for triggering a buffer status report, as shown in fig. 2, the method includes:

Here, steps S21 and S22 may exist at the same time, or only step S21 may exist.
Compared with the prior art, the triggering method of the buffer status report provided by the embodiment of the invention increases a triggering condition of a conventional buffer status report, and the conventional buffer status report carries priority information of a corresponding bearer or a logical channel group, so that the method can enable the UE to report the buffer status report in time when responding to a large amount of burst data, so as to inform a service base station to more timely schedule uplink resources for the UE, reduce transmission delay of the large amount of burst data, and meet service requirements with high requirements on transmission delay.
In order to describe the technical solution of the present invention in more detail, the following takes the example that the user equipment initiates the multi-pass service as an example.
The UE1 and the UE2 establish a call service, and generally, the UE1 only needs to send one data packet in a period of 20ms, so that the serving base station may set a longer time, for example, 160ms, when setting the reporting period of the periodic BSR. Setting a longer reporting period can save air interface resources. After a period of time, the UE1 initiates multi-pass service, for example, the UE1 joins the UE3 and the UE4 in the existing call, at this time, the UE1 needs to mix the voices from the UE2, the UE3, and the UE4, and then sends voice packets to the UE2, the UE3, and the UE4, so that the UE1 has 3 packets of data to send in 20 ms. If the UE still continues to use the existing periodic BSR timer (160ms), the base station cannot timely know that the UE1 has redundant data to send, so that part of data packets may not be sent in time in the UE1, and for a service with a high delay requirement, such as voice, the voice effect is reduced and the user experience is poor because the UE cannot send for a long time.
For such voice services with higher delay requirements, the buffer status report triggering condition added in the technical solution of the present invention may be applied, that is, data that needs to be transmitted by a certain bearer or logical channel group suddenly increases to exceed or equal to a preset threshold, for example, the data increases by more than 100% or the newly increased data amount exceeds 1000 bits, and the threshold may be set by the base station or preset by a protocol.
In addition, when data to be transmitted by a certain bearer or logical channel group suddenly increases and exceeds a preset threshold, and the bearer or logical channel group has the highest priority, a report of a conventional buffer status carrying priority information of the corresponding bearer or logical channel group is triggered and reported to the serving base station. Therefore, the UE can trigger the buffer status report in time when the data volume needing to be transmitted by a certain bearer or a logic channel group suddenly increases, so that the service base station can allocate necessary uplink resources in time for transmitting the newly increased data, the data is ensured to be transmitted in time, and the time delay is reduced. Here, that the bearer or the logical channel group has the highest priority means that the bearer or the logical channel group has the highest priority in the bearers established by the UE, or that the logical channel group in which the bearer is located has the highest priority in all the logical channel groups configured by the UE.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a triggering apparatus for a buffer status report, as shown in fig. 3, the apparatus includes a comparing module 31 and a triggering module 32;
the comparison module 31 is configured to, when it is monitored that a data that needs to be transmitted by a bearer or a logical channel group is suddenly increased, compare the suddenly increased data that needs to be transmitted by the bearer or the logical channel group with a preset threshold value;
the triggering module 32 is configured to trigger reporting of a conventional buffer status report to the serving base station when the surge data that needs to be transmitted by the bearer or the logical channel group exceeds or is equal to the preset threshold.
Compared with the prior art, the triggering device for the buffer status report provided by the embodiment of the invention adds a triggering condition of a conventional buffer status report, so that the UE can report the buffer status report in time when dealing with a large amount of burst data, so as to inform a service base station to schedule uplink resources for the UE in time, reduce the transmission delay of the large amount of burst data, and meet the service requirement with high requirement on the transmission delay.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a triggering apparatus for a buffer status report, as shown in fig. 4, the apparatus includes a first receiving module 41, a second receiving module 42, a monitoring module 43, a comparing module 44, and a triggering module 45.
The first receiving module 41 is configured to receive the preset threshold value sent by the serving base station.
The second receiving module 42 is configured to receive an indication message sent by the serving base station and used for indicating that the preset threshold value is valid.
The monitoring module 43 is configured to monitor data that needs to be transmitted by each bearer or logical channel group.
The comparison module 44 is configured to compare the surge data that needs to be transmitted by the bearer or the logical channel group with a preset threshold when it is monitored that the surge data that needs to be transmitted by the bearer or the logical channel group exceeds the preset threshold;
the triggering module 45 is configured to trigger reporting of a conventional buffer status report carrying priority information of the corresponding bearer or logical channel group to the serving base station when it is monitored that surge data to be transmitted by the bearer or logical channel group exceeds or is equal to the preset threshold and the bearer or logical channel group has the highest priority.
Compared with the prior art, the triggering device for the buffer status report provided by the embodiment of the invention increases a triggering condition of a conventional buffer status report, and the conventional buffer status report carries priority information of a corresponding bearer or a logical channel group, so that the invention can enable the UE to report the buffer status report in time when responding to a large amount of burst data, so as to inform a service base station to more timely schedule uplink resources for the UE, reduce transmission delay of the large amount of burst data, and meet service requirements with high requirements on transmission delay.
The embodiment of the invention also provides the user equipment, which comprises the triggering device for the cache state report.
