微型步进电机可以允许针对可变时间间隔或恒定持续时间以例如近似0.5到2微升每秒的低流速按需递送液体气溶胶形成基质。可以小心调整微型步进电机以精确地致动活塞达确定的微距,以便递送适当量的液体气溶胶形成基质到加热元件。因为活塞的移动是基于转向丝杠的节距,所以可以精确地调节通过微型步进电机泵送的液体气溶胶形成基质的量。因此,可以根据微型步进电机脉冲的量确定所沉积的液体气溶胶形成基质的量。
微型步进电机和加热元件都可以由抽吸检测系统触发。在一些实例中,微型步进电机和加热元件可以通过按压开/关按钮保持抽吸的持续时间来触发。
微型步进电机可以每脉冲步进少于1度。假设1度的旋转、0.75毫米的螺纹螺距以及具有6mm2横截面的盒,可以按0.0125mm3(0.0125μl)的增量分配液体气溶胶形成基质。
优选的是,液体存储部分被配置成使得可移动壁朝向液体存储部分的轴向移动使液体存储部分的体积减小,例如以便在执行微型步进电机的一次步进时将确定量的液体气溶胶形成从液体存储部分的出口递送到加热元件的内部通道。
优选的是,微型步进电机进一步被配置成以反向方向执行步进,由此增大液体存储部分的体积。抽吸之间的反向可能是有利的,因为位于输送系统中的液体气溶胶形成基质被反转回至液体存储部分中。
优选的是,可移动壁被配置成将液体气溶胶形成基质容纳在液体存储部分中,例如使得微型步进电机和活塞不与液体气溶胶形成基质接触。液体存储部分可以包括具有盒的针筒,其中液体气溶胶形成基质存储于由可移动壁限制的盒的体积内。盒可以具有圆柱形形状。
优选的是,液体存储部分与微型步进电机分离,从而具有可移除和可扔掉含有液体的盒的可能性。这将根除用户自己重新填充液体存储部分的需要。
优选的是,气溶胶生成系统进一步包括液体气溶胶形成基质被递送到其中的腔室,并且其中加热元件在液体存储部分的出口下游布置在所述腔室内部。
如本文中所使用,术语‘上游’、‘下游’、‘近端’、‘远端’、‘前部’和‘后部’用于描述气溶胶生成系统的各部件或部件的各部分相对于用户在气溶胶生成系统使用期间在气溶胶生成系统上抽吸的方向的相对位置。
气溶胶生成系统可以包括口端,在使用中,气溶胶通过所述口端离开气溶胶生成系统并且被递送给用户。口端也可以称为近端。在使用中,用户在气溶胶生成系统的近端或口端上抽吸,以便吸入由气溶胶生成系统生成的气溶胶。气溶胶生成系统包括与近端或口端相对的远端。气溶胶生成系统的近端或口端也可以称为下游端,且气溶胶生成系统的远端也可以称为上游端。气溶胶生成系统的各部件或部件的各部分可以基于其在气溶胶生成系统的近端、下游端或口端与远端或上游端之间的相对位置而描述为彼此的上游或下游。
优选的是,气溶胶生成系统进一步包括管段,液体气溶胶形成基质通过所述管段从液体存储部分递送到蒸发器。管段可以被布置成将液体气溶胶形成基质直接递送到加热元件。管段可以被布置成将液体气溶胶形成基质朝向加热元件中的内部通道的开口端递送。管段可以在朝向加热元件中的内部通道的开口端的方向上从液体存储部分延伸。蒸发器可以布置在管段的开口端下游。蒸发器可以围绕管段的一部分延伸。
管段也被称为管,其可以是喷嘴。管段可以包括任何适当的材料,例如玻璃、硅、不锈钢等金属、或PEEK等塑料材料。例如,管可以具有约1到2毫米的直径,但也可能有其它尺寸。优选的是,管段包括毛细管。毛细管的横截面可以是圆形、椭圆形、三角形、矩形或运送液体的任何其它合适的形状。毛细管的横截面积的至少宽度尺寸优选地选择为足够小,使得一方面存在毛细作用力。同时,毛细管的横截面积优选足够大,使得适量的液体气溶胶形成基质可被传送到加热元件。通常,毛细管的横截面积优选低于4平方毫米、低于1平方毫米或低于0.5平方毫米。
蒸发器可以包括沿纵向方向从管段延伸的加热线圈。或者或另外,可以是线圈的加热元件可以围绕管段的一部分延伸。在一些实例中,加热线圈可以横向于管段安装。加热线圈可以与管段的开口端重叠达3毫米,优选地达1毫米。在一些实例中,管段的开口端与加热线圈之间可能存在距离。加热线圈的长度可以是2毫米到9毫米,优选3毫米到6毫米。加热线圈的直径可以选择为使得加热线圈的一端可以围绕管段安装。加热线圈的直径可以是1毫米到5毫米,优选2毫米到4毫米。
蒸发器可以包括沿纵向方向从管段延伸的锥形加热器。锥形加热器可以与管段的开口端重叠。在一些实例中,管段的开口端与锥形加热器之间可以存在0.1毫米到2毫米的距离,优选0.1毫米到1毫米的距离。锥形加热器的倾斜高度可以是2毫米到7毫米,优选2.5毫米到5毫米。当沿着从一端到另一端的倾斜高度时,在横截面视图中锥形加热器的直径从第一直径增加到第二直径。第一直径可以是0.1毫米到2毫米,优选0.1毫米到1毫米。第二直径可以是1.2毫米到3毫米,优选1.5毫米到2毫米。优选的是,锥形加热器布置成使得从管段离开的液体气溶胶形成基质在第二直径之前以第一直径通过锥形加热器。锥形加热器的第一直径可以被选择为使得锥形加热器的一端可以围绕管段安装。
蒸发器可以包括实心或网格表面。蒸发器可以包括网格加热器。蒸发器可以包括细丝布置。
蒸发器可以包括固体、柔性、多孔和带孔基板中的至少一种,加热元件可以通过安装、印刷、沉积、蚀刻和层压中的至少一种附着到所述基板上。基板可以是聚合物或陶瓷基板。
优选的是,液体存储部分包括连接到液体存储部分的出口的单向阀。
优选的是,递送通过液体存储部分的出口的液体气溶胶形成基质的流速在0.5到2微升每秒内。
优选的是,气溶胶生成系统包括主要单元和筒,其中筒可移除地连接到主要单元,其中主要单元包括电源,其中液体存储部分设置在筒中,并且其中微型步进电机设置在主要单元中。优选的是,主要单元进一步包括蒸发器。主要单元可以包括管段。
根据本发明的实施例的气溶胶生成系统可进一步包括连接到蒸发器和电力源的电路,所述电路被配置成监测蒸发器的电阻,且取决于蒸发器的电阻来控制向蒸发器供应的功率。
电路可以包括具有微处理器的控制器,所述微处理器可以是可编程微处理器。电路可以包括另外的电子部件。电路可以被配置成调节向蒸发器供应的功率。在激活系统之后功率可以连续地供应到蒸发器,或可以例如在逐抽吸的基础上间歇地供应。功率可以电流脉冲的形式供应到蒸发器。
有利的是,气溶胶生成系统包括在壳体的主体内的电源,通常是电池。在一些实例中,电源可以是另一种形式的电荷存储装置,例如,电容器。电源可能需要再充电,且可以具有允许为一次或多次吸烟体验存储足够能量的容量;例如,电源可以具有足够的容量以允许在约六分钟的时段中或在六分钟的倍数的时段中连续生成气溶胶。在一些实例中,电源可以具有足够的容量以允许预定次数的抽吸或加热器组件的不连续激活。
为了允许环境空气进入气溶胶生成系统,气溶胶生成系统的壳体壁设置有至少一个半开放入口,所述壁优选的是与蒸发器相对的壁,优选的是底壁。半开放入口允许空气进入气溶胶生成系统,但不允许空气或液体通过所述半开放入口离开气溶胶生成系统。例如,半开放入口可以是半透膜,其仅在一个方向上可透气,但在相反方向上不透气且不透液。例如,半开放入口还可以是单向阀。优选的是,半开放入口允许空气仅在符合特定条件时才能穿过所述入口,所述条件例如气溶胶生成系统中的最小低气压或穿过所述阀或膜的一定体积的空气。
液体气溶胶形成基质是能够释放可形成气溶胶的挥发性化合物的基质。可以通过加热液体气溶胶形成基质来释放挥发性化合物。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括植物类材料。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括烟草。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括含有挥发性烟草香味化合物的含烟草材料,所述香味化合物在加热之后从液体气溶胶形成基质中释放。另一选择为,液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括不含烟草的材料。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括均质化的植物类材料。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括均质化的烟草材料。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括至少一种气溶胶形成剂。液体气溶胶形成基质可以包括其它添加剂和成分,例如,香料。
气溶胶生成系统可以是电操作吸烟系统。优选的是,气溶胶生成系统是便携式的。气溶胶生成系统可以具有与常规雪茄或香烟相当的大小。吸烟系统可以具有介于约30毫米与约150毫米之间的总长度。吸烟系统可以具有介于约5毫米与约30毫米之间的外径。
根据本发明的第二方面,提供一种用于根据本发明的第一方面的气溶胶生成系统的筒,其中所述筒包括液体存储部分、活塞和丝杠。丝杠包括被配置成接收微型步进电机的驱动轴的开口。优选的是,液体存储部分的出口被配置成接收管段,液体气溶胶形成基质通过所述管段递送到加热元件的沉积区域。
优选的是,筒包括第一盖,在筒插入主要单元中之前,所述第一盖覆盖液体存储部分的可移动壁、活塞以及丝杠中的至少一个。第一盖可以是拉扯的贴纸或密封件,例如膜密封件,其在筒使用前保护筒,使得在筒插入主要单元中之前可移动壁不会被意外地推动。在将筒插入主要单元中之前,可以手动地从筒移除第一盖。优选的是,刺破或刺穿第一盖使得在将筒插入主要单元中时第一盖自动地打开。
优选的是,筒进一步包括第二盖,在筒插入主要单元中之前,所述第二盖覆盖液体存储部分的出口。第二盖可以是拉扯的贴纸或密封件,例如膜密封件,其在筒使用前保护筒,使得在筒插入主要单元中之前出口不会被意外破坏。在将筒插入主要单元中之前,可以手动地从筒移除第二盖。优选的是,刺破或刺穿第二盖使得在将筒插入主要单元中时第二盖自动地打开。
筒可以是一次性使用的制品,一旦筒的液体存储部分空了或低于最小体积阈值,就用新的筒进行更换。优选的是,筒预装有液体气溶胶形成基质。筒可以是可再填充的。
筒及其包括丝杠、活塞和可移动壁在内的部件可以由热塑性聚合物制成,例如聚醚醚酮(PEEK)
根据本发明的第三方面,提供一种用于生成气溶胶的方法,包括以下步骤:
(i)将液体气溶胶形成基质存储在包括可移动壁和出口的液体存储部分中,
(ii)将液体气溶胶形成基质从液体存储部分的出口递送到由蒸发器的加热元件限定的内部通道,其中所述递送包括致动微型步进电机执行一次步进以便使微型步进电机的驱动轴旋转预定量,其中丝杠连接到驱动轴,丝杠连接到活塞,活塞连接到可移动壁以便将驱动轴的旋转转化为活塞的轴向移动和可移动壁的对应轴向移动,以及
(iii)将内部通道中的所递送的液体气溶胶形成基质加热到足以使所递送的液体气溶胶形成基质的至少一部分挥发的温度。
关于一个方面描述的特征可等同地应用于本发明的其它方面。

具体实施方式
图1A示出气溶胶生成系统包括电路10,所述电路10驱动具有驱动轴14的微型步进电机12。驱动轴14与丝杠16连接,所述丝杠16将驱动轴14响应于电路10的电气脉冲的旋转移动转化为轴向移动。丝杠16连接到活塞18,所述活塞18移动盒20中的可移动壁26(图1A中未示出)。在电路10的脉冲驱动微型步进电机12时,盒20中的可用体积减小了预定量。盒20填充有液体气溶胶形成基质。由于脉冲引起的体积减小,相应量的液体气溶胶形成基质流入开放式喷嘴22中,在所述喷嘴处液体气溶胶形成基质经由射流24A离开喷嘴。射流24A使得液体气溶胶形成基质气溶胶化。
图1B、1C和1D示出一旦液体气溶胶形成基质离开喷嘴22就具有对液体气溶胶形成基质的不同处理的气溶胶生成系统。
在图1B的实施例中,在喷嘴22的下游布置加热线圈24B以直接加热离开喷嘴22的液体气溶胶形成基质。
在图1C的实施例中,在喷嘴22的下游布置具有液体可渗透结构的平坦加热器24C以直接加热离开喷嘴22的液体气溶胶形成基质。
在图1D的实施例中,在喷嘴22的下游布置锥形加热器24D以直接加热离开喷嘴22的液体气溶胶形成基质。
图2示出喷嘴22的开口端侧的细节。加热线圈24B安装到喷嘴22的开口端侧上,使得加热线圈24B沿纵向方向从喷嘴22延伸。液体气溶胶形成基质在喷嘴22的开口端处离开。加热线圈24B限定气溶胶形成基质通过喷嘴22所递送到的开放式内部通道。加热线圈24B位于液体流中以及围绕液体流,使得液体气溶胶形成基质直接被加热。加热线圈24B具有长度L、直径D以及与喷嘴22的重叠O。.
图3A示出喷嘴22的开口端侧的细节。锥形加热器24D安装在喷嘴22的开口端侧的下游,使得锥形加热器24D沿纵向方向从喷嘴22延伸。液体气溶胶形成基质在喷嘴22的开口端处离开。锥形加热器24D限定内部通道,并且位于液体流中以及围绕液体流,使得液体气溶胶形成基质直接被加热。在锥形加热器24D的锥形端侧与喷嘴22之间存在距离G。
图3B是用平坦基板制作锥形加热器24D的示意性图解。锥形加热器24D具有倾斜高度g,具有从第一半径r增加到第二半径R的半径。
图4示出呈透视图的图1B、1C和1D的气溶胶生成系统,其具有在管段22下游的加热元件24。
图5是气溶胶生成系统的示意性图解。气溶胶生成系统包括主要单元30和单独的筒40。主要单元30包括具有驱动轴14的微型步进电机12。筒40包括表示液体存储部分的盒。主要单元30进一步包括管段22以及经由管段22接收液体气溶胶形成基质的蒸发器24,所述管段从液体存储部分朝向蒸发器延伸。蒸发器24被配置成在液体气溶胶形成基质离开管段22之后直接加热液体气溶胶形成基质。
此外,筒40包括连接到驱动轴14的丝杠16以及通过丝杠16轴向移动的活塞18。液体存储部分包括可移动壁26,所述可移动壁26将液体存储部分与筒的盒内的其余部件分开。
筒40被配置成接收在主要单元30内的腔中。当筒40中所提供的气溶胶形成基质被耗尽时,筒40应可由用户进行更换。当插入新的筒40时,可以移动主要单元30处的滑件以露出腔。可以将新的筒40插入露出的腔中。筒40的丝杠16包括用于接收微型步进电机12的驱动轴14的开口。筒40的盒包括用于接收管段22的一端的出口。
主要单元30是便携式的,且具有与常规雪茄或香烟相当的大小。主要单元30包括主体和衔嘴部分。主要单元30含有电源,例如电池,例如磷酸铁锂电池;电子电路10;以及腔。在主体的侧面设置电连接件以提供电路10与电池之间的电连接。衔嘴部分包括多个空气入口和出口。在使用中,用户吮吸或抽吸出口,以从空气入口汲取空气,穿过衔嘴部分到出口,然后进入用户的口腔或肺部。提供内部挡板以迫使流过衔嘴部分的空气通过筒。

Claims (14)
1.一种气溶胶生成系统,包括:
主要单元;
可移除地连接到所述主要单元的筒;
设置在所述主要单元中的电源;
设置在所述筒中的液体存储部分,所述液体存储部分用于存储液体气溶胶形成基质,其中所述液体存储部分包括可移动壁、出口、和连接到所述出口的单向阀;
蒸发器,其包括具有限定开放端式的内部通道的结构的加热元件;
泵,其被配置成用于将液体气溶胶形成基质从所述液体存储部分的所述出口递送到所述加热元件的所述内部通道,所述泵包括:
设置在所述主要单元中的、具有驱动轴的微型步进电机,所述驱动轴被配置成在执行所述微型步进电机的一次步进时旋转预定量;
连接到所述可移动壁的活塞;以及
丝杠,所述丝杠将所述驱动轴连接到所述活塞,且被配置成将所述驱动轴的旋转转化为所述活塞的轴向移动和所述可移动壁的对应的轴向移动;
其中所述蒸发器被配置成用于将所述内部通道中的所递送的液体气溶胶形成基质加热到足以使所述所递送的液体气溶胶形成基质的至少一部分挥发的温度。
2.根据权利要求1所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述液体存储部分被配置成使得所述可移动壁朝向所述液体存储部分的所述轴向移动使所述液体存储部分的体积减小,以便在执行所述微型步进电机的一次步进时将确定量的液体气溶胶形成基质从所述液体存储部分的所述出口递送到所述加热元件的所述内部通道。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述可移动壁被配置成将所述液体气溶胶形成基质容纳在所述液体存储部分中,使得所述微型步进电机和所述活塞不与所述液体气溶胶形成基质接触。
4.根据权利要求1所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述气溶胶生成系统进一步包括腔室,所述液体气溶胶形成基质被递送到所述腔室中,并且其中所述加热元件在所述液体存储部分的所述出口的下游布置在所述腔室的内部。
5.根据权利要求1所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述气溶胶生成系统进一步包括管段,所述液体气溶胶形成基质通过所述管段从所述液体存储部分递送到所述蒸发器。
6.根据权利要求5所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述蒸发器布置在所述管段的开口端下游。
7.根据权利要求5或6所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述管段包括毛细管。
8.根据权利要求5或6所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述蒸发器包括围绕所述管段延伸的加热线圈。
9.根据权利要求5所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述蒸发器包括沿纵向方向从所述管段延伸的加热线圈。
10.根据权利要求5或6所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中所述蒸发器包括沿纵向方向从所述管段延伸的锥形加热器。
11.根据权利要求1所述的气溶胶生成系统,其中被递送通过所述液体存储部分的所述出口的所述液体气溶胶形成基质的流速在0.5到2微升每秒内。
12.一种用于根据权利要求1所述的气溶胶生成系统的筒,其中所述筒包括所述液体存储部分、所述活塞和所述丝杠。
13.根据权利要求12所述的筒,进一步包括第一盖,在所述筒插入所述主要单元中之前,所述第一盖覆盖所述液体存储部分的所述可移动壁、所述活塞、以及所述丝杠中的至少一个。
14.根据权利要求12或权利要求13所述的筒,进一步包括第二盖,在所述筒插入所述主要单元中之前,所述第二盖覆盖所述液体存储部分的所述出口。
