Detailed description of the preferred embodiments
As shown in fig. 1, the refrigerator 1 includes a main body 2, and the main body 2 includes a first storage chamber 4 and a second storage chamber 5 partitioned by a heat insulation wall 8. The first storage compartments 4, 5 are closed by a first door 6 and a second door 7 connected to the main body 2, respectively.
An air conditioning unit 11 is provided in the first storage compartment 4. In the present embodiment, the air conditioning unit 11 is adapted to adjust the environmental parameters of a specific storage area within a specific first storage compartment 4. The specific area may be defined by the container 9 and a cover 10 to close the upper opening of the container 9.
In one embodiment, the air conditioning unit 11 includes a liquid storage container (not shown) and a mist generation unit (not shown) to convert the liquid in the liquid storage container into mist. Mist is delivered into the container 9 to adjust environmental parameters within the container 9. In one embodiment, the mist is water vapor to regulate the humidity within the container 9. In another embodiment, the mist contains free radicals/ions generated by electrolysis of water or the like suitable for sterilization/removal of pesticides to clean the air or food in the container 9.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the air conditioning unit 11 includes an indicating device 21 to indicate the state of the liquid storage container. The indicating means 21 may be adjacent to the front opening 3 of the first storage compartment 4.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the indicating device 21, 21a comprises a base wall 61, the outside of which base wall 61 is visible to the user when the door 6 is open. The outer surface of the base wall 61 carries at least one indicator 62, 62a adapted to transmit visible light, reflecting the irradiation of ultraviolet light and being displayed. The indicating device 21, 21a further comprises an illumination unit 70, 70a with an ultraviolet light source 71 located outside the base wall 61. Thus, the illumination units 70, 70a are adapted to illuminate the indication portions 62, 62a carried on the outer surface of the base wall 61 from the outside of the base wall 61.
When the ultraviolet light source 71 is turned off, the indication portions 62, 62a transmit visible light having a wavelength between 400 and 760nm, and the indication portions 62, 62a are transparent, so the indication portions 62, 62a may not be visible to the user. In this way, the indication portions 62, 62a can be hidden.
When the ultraviolet light source 71 is turned on, the indication portions 62, 62a emit light in response to irradiation with ultraviolet light, and are displayed. Thus, the indication device 21 is beneficial to making the household appliance more compact and beautiful while providing an indication function. In a preferred embodiment, the indication portions 62, 62a may be formed of an ultraviolet light reflective ink layer printed on the base wall 61, which emits light by irradiation of reaction ultraviolet light, when the ultraviolet light source 71 is turned off. In another embodiment, the indication portions 62, 62a may be formed on the film and then attached to the base wall 61.
The base wall 61 may be said to be constructed to be opaque to visible light or to have a layer of opaque to visible light between the indicator portions 62, 62a and the base wall 61.

The indication portion 62 is preferably located entirely within the irradiation range of the ultraviolet light source 71. As shown in fig. 3, the indication portion 62 is located within the irradiation range defined by the maximum line A1 to line A2.
The ultraviolet light source 71 is located above the indication part 62 so that the illumination unit 70 can be directed downward toward the indication part 62 from above the indication part 62.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 3, the ultraviolet light source 71 may be located directly above the indication portion 62 to be irradiated vertically downward. The optical axis a of the ultraviolet light source 71 is preferably perpendicular to the ultraviolet light-transmitting lamp housing 72, so that the lamp housing 72 may be horizontally disposed.
In an alternative embodiment, the ultraviolet light source may also be located above and in front of the indicator portion, so that the ultraviolet light source irradiates the indicator portion downwardly and rearwardly. At this time, the lamp housing preferably forms an angle with the horizontal plane, so that the ultraviolet light source can be irradiated to the indication part perpendicularly to the lamp housing.
An angle a of less than 90 degrees may be formed between the lamp housing 72 for transmitting ultraviolet light and the indication portion 62. In the present embodiment, the base wall 61 includes a slope 611, and the indication portion 62 is carried on the slope 611. In a direction from the rear to the front (a direction from the rear wall of the first storage chamber 4 toward the front opening 3), the inclined surface 611 is inclined downward, and the illumination unit 70 is located above the inclined surface 611 and irradiates the indication portion 62 downward. This is particularly advantageous for the indicator 62 to be in a user viewable range and for the illumination unit 701 to be hidden from view by the user.
The optical axis a of the ultraviolet light source 71 is preferably perpendicular to the lamp housing 72 such that the sum of the angle b formed between the ultraviolet light source 71 and the base wall 61 and the angle a between the lamp housing 72 and the indicator portion 62 is approximately equal to 90 degrees.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a refrigerator 1b according to another embodiment of the present invention. The indication means 21b is displayed to alert the user, for example when the odour sensor detects that a gas parameter in the storage compartment 4b exceeds a standard. It should be understood that the indication means 21b may also be used in other situations, for example the indication means 21b may also be used to alert the user to a specific job, for example to clean the storage compartment 4b, to change/add water, filters, bactericides etc.
The indicating device 21b includes a base wall 61b, and the base wall 61b carries an indicating portion 62b adapted to transmit visible light and to be displayed by irradiation of reaction ultraviolet light. The indicating device 21b further comprises an illumination unit 70b having an ultraviolet light source 71b, the illumination unit 70b being adapted to illuminate the indicating portion 62b from outside the base wall 61 b. When the indication portion 62b is irradiated with ultraviolet light, the indication portion 62b emits light in response to the irradiation of the ultraviolet light, and the indication portion 62b is displayed.
The base wall 61b may be an integral part of the inner wall 41b of the storage compartment 4b or may be assembled to the inner wall 41b as a separately manufactured component. The base wall 61b is exposed to the storage chamber 4b, and when the user opens the door, a side of the base wall 61b facing the storage chamber 4b may be in a visual range of the user.
The indication portion 62b may be formed of an ultraviolet-reflecting ink layer printed on the opaque base wall 61b that emits light upon irradiation with the reaction ultraviolet light. When the ultraviolet light source 71b is turned off, the indication portion 62b transmits visible light and thus is transparent to the user and invisible, so the indication portion 62b can be hidden. When the ultraviolet light source 71b is turned on, the indication portion 62b emits light in response to irradiation with ultraviolet light, and displays the light.
The base wall 61b may include a slope 611b exposed to the storage chamber 4b, the slope 611b extending obliquely toward the other inner wall 41b in a front-to-rear direction, so as to be more easily observed by a user.
In the present embodiment, the ultraviolet light source 71b is located in front of the indication portion 62b, and the illumination unit 70b irradiates the indication portion 62b from the front direction of the indication portion 62b.
The lamp housing 72b of the lighting unit 70b may be disposed substantially parallel to the front opening 3b and facing a rear wall (not shown) of the storage compartment 4b, so that the lamp housing 72b is not easily observed by a user.
