本发明涉及海洋防污涂层组合物,更特别涉及包含甲硅烷基酯共聚物的海洋防污涂层组合物,所述甲硅烷基酯共聚物包含甲基丙烯酸三异丙基甲硅烷基酯(TISMA)和环醚的丙烯酸酯(如丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA))作为共聚单体。本发明还涉及保护物体免受污染的方法,以及用本发明的防污组合物涂布的物体。
背景技术
淹没在海水中的表面经受由海洋生物(如绿藻和褐藻、藤壶、蚌、管虫等)造成的污染。在海洋建筑物上,如船舶、石油平台、浮标等,这样的污染是不期望的并且具有经济后果。污染可能导致表面的生物降解,增加负荷和加速腐蚀。在船舶上,污染将增加摩擦阻力,其会导致减速和/或增加燃料消耗。其也可能导致降低操作灵敏性。
为了避免海洋生物的沉降与生长,使用防污油漆。这些油漆通常包括成膜粘结剂,以及不同的组分,如颜料、填料、溶剂和生物活性物质。
目前在市场上最成功的自抛光防污体系是基于甲硅烷基酯功能性(甲基)丙烯酸共聚物。这些涂料组合物为例如在EP 0 646 630、EP 0 802 243、EP 1 342 756、EP 1 479737、WO 2005/005516、WO 00/77102、WO 03/070832和WO 03/080747中描述的。
甲硅烷基酯功能性(甲基)丙烯酸共聚物通常与其他粘结剂(如丙烯酸酯和松香或松香衍生物)一起使用来调节防污涂料膜的自抛光性能和机械性能。也可以包含杀虫剂(如氧化铜)或有机杀虫剂(如4-溴-2-(4-氯苯基)-5-(三氟甲基)-1H-吡咯-3-腈【吡咯腈】)。
已知包含THFA作为共聚单体的甲硅烷基酯共聚物,但是之前还没有描述过单体TISMA和THFA的组合。
WO2011/092143公开了一种防污涂层组合物,其包含可水解的共聚物和至少一种烃类树脂。虽然提供了包含THFA作为共聚单体的实施例,甲硅烷基酯共聚物不是TISMA并且所定义的摩尔百分比a+b+c小于50mol%。
EP1479737公开了一种防污涂层组合物,其包含三芳基甲硅烷基(甲基)丙烯酸酯和(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体之间形成的可水解的共聚物。实施例显示了三苯基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TPSMA)、甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)和第三个丙烯酸酯或甲基丙烯酸酯共聚单体(其可以是THFA)的三元共聚物。在所有的情况下,非MMA共聚单体比例(mol%)低于28mol%。
JP8269389公开了基于不饱和三烷基甲硅烷基共聚单体和至少一种共聚单体的共聚物的海洋防污涂层。共聚单体的性质相当不同并且包含甲基丙烯酸酯和丙烯酸酯衍生物。在一个实施例中,描述了三(正丁基)甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TBSMA)和甲基丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFMA)以重量比20:80(13:87mol)的共聚物,在另一个中,描述了三(正丁基)甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TBSA)、甲基丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFMA)和甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)以重量比50:10:40(29:9:62mol)的共聚物。
EP0646630描述了防污涂层,其包含由三烷基甲硅烷基(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体和包含1-25个乙二醇重复单元的极性丙烯酸酯共聚单体之间形成的可水解的共聚物。在一个实施例中,将三异丙基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯与甲氧基乙基甲基丙烯酸酯和另一极性丙烯酸酯共聚单体一起使用,所述极性丙烯酸酯共聚单体具有9个重复的乙二醇单元、甲基丙烯酸甲酯和正丁基丙烯酸酯。没有提到THFA。
本发明的发明人现在惊奇地确定甲硅烷基酯共聚物加入例如三异丙基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TISMA)和环醚的丙烯酸酯(如丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA))作为共聚单体提供了自抛光的防污涂层,该涂层具有改善的防污性能,特别是在防止海洋表面的污染上。
通常对于船舶的保养周期是30到90个月。其要求一个涂层膜缓慢、可控的抛光速率以在整个保养周期保护物体。过快的抛光将导致保养周期末期之前防污涂层的消耗,导致最后一段时间中未受保护的表面并从而使表面污染。过慢的抛光将导致保护表面的杀虫剂不充分的释放并从而导致表面的污染。使用期限中线性、可控的抛光将提供杀虫剂的持续释放并因此形成绝佳的污染保护。
存在一种对于提供防污涂层的可控降解的甲硅烷基酯共聚物的需要。
发明内容
一方面,本发明涉及一种甲硅烷基酯共聚物,包含以下作为共聚单体:
(a)三异丙基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TISMA);
(b)一种或多种式(I)的化合物:
其中R1是环醚(如氧戊环、环氧乙烷、二氧戊环、二氧六环,任选地烷基取代的)并且W是C1-C4亚烷基基团,优选丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA);和任选地
(c)一种或多种式(II)的共聚单体:
其中R2是H或CH3,并且R3是C3-C18取代基,其包含至少一个氧原子或氮原子,优选包含至少一个氧原子;并且
其中共聚物中(a)+(b)+(c)的摩尔分数的总和是≥50mol%。
优选甲硅烷基酯共聚物具有至少25℃的玻璃化温度(Tg),其根据本文所述的实施例部分的方法通过DSC测量。
另一方面,本发明提供了一种防污涂层组合物,其包含本发明的甲硅烷基酯共聚物和至少一种防污剂。该防污涂层组合物可包含防污剂(如氧化亚铜和/或吡硫翁铜(copper pyrithione))或者该防污涂层组合物可包含不含铜的杀虫剂。
在另一方面,本发明提供了一种保护物体不受污染的方法,所述方法包含将所述物体经受污染的至少一部分用本文所定义的防污涂层组合物涂布。
本发明还涉及用本文所定义的防污涂层组合物涂布的物体。
从另一方面来看,本发明涉及本文所定义的甲硅烷基酯共聚物在防污涂层组合物中的用途,即作为所述组合物的粘结剂的用途。
定义
术语“海洋防污涂层组合物”、“防污涂层组合物”或简单地“涂层组合物”指适合用于海洋环境的组合物。防污涂层组合物需要防污剂,例如杀虫剂。
术语“烃基基团”指任何仅包含C原子和H原子的基团并且因此覆盖烷基、烯基、芳基、环烷基、芳烷基基团等。
术语“(甲基)丙烯酸酯”表示甲基丙烯酸酯或丙烯酸酯。
在下文中使用的术语“松香”用于覆盖“松香或其衍生物”。
术语“粘结剂”定义了组合物的一部分,其包含甲硅烷基酯共聚物和任意其他的组分,其共同形成了基质,为组合物提供实体和强度。通常本文使用的术语“粘结剂”表示甲硅烷基酯共聚物与任意可包含的松香。
发明详述
在一个实施方案中,本发明的防污涂层组合物包含甲硅烷基酯共聚物,其至少包含共聚单体TISMA和环醚的丙烯酸酯(如丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA))。另外的甲硅烷基酯(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体,亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体和/或非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体可如本文所述地另外存在。
甲硅烷基酯共聚物
共聚单体
甲硅烷基酯共聚物包括至少共聚单体(a)TISMA和(b)环醚的丙烯酸酯(如THFA)。
其中提供了甲硅烷基酯共聚物中给定共聚单体的mol%,该mol%是相对于共聚物中存在的每种共聚单体的总量(mol)。因此,如果TISMA和THFA是甲硅烷基酯共聚物中仅有的共聚单体,TISMA的mol%计算为(TISMA(mol)/(TISMA(mol)+THFA(mol)))×100%。如果仅存在TISMA、THFA和甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA),TISMA的mol%计算为(TISMA(mol)/(TISMA(mol)+THFA(mol)+MMA(mol)))×100%。共聚物的重量百分比类似地进行计算。共聚物优选包含>90wt%,优选>95%,特别>98%的甲硅烷基酯(甲基)丙烯酸酯、亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯和非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体的组合。
组分(a)是三异丙基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TISMA),其优选形成共聚物的15至70mol%,优选20至60mol%,更优选25至50mol%。
组分(b)优选形成共聚物的2至50mol%,优选3至40mol%,特别是5至35mol%。
(a):(b)之比(mol/mol)优选在30:70至95:5的范围,优选在40:60至90:10的范围,特别是在50:50至70:30的范围。优选在共聚物中(a)的摩尔分数大于(b)的摩尔分数。
环醚的丙烯酸酯组分(b)
第二单体(b)是以下式给出的丙烯酸的环醚酯:
其中R1是环醚(如氧戊环、环氧乙烷、二氧戊环、二氧六环,任选地烷基取代的)并且W是C1-C4亚烷基。W优选C1-C2亚烷基。
环醚可在环中包含单个氧原子或在环中包含2或3个氧原子。环醚可包含含有2至8个碳原子,如3至5个碳原子的环。整个环可以包含4至8个原子,如5或6个原子。
环醚环可以被取代,如由一个或多个,如一个C1-6烷基基团取代。所述取代基可以在环上任意位置,包含连接W基团的位置。
适合的式(I)的化合物包含丙酮缩甘油丙烯酸酯(isopropylideneglycerolacrylate)、甘油缩甲醛丙烯酸酯(glycerolformal acrylate)、环三羟甲基丙烷二甲氧基甲烷丙烯酸酯(cyclic trimethylolpropane formal acrylate)和丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA)。特别优选使用THFA。
这些共聚单体与TISMA的使用确保了具有可控降解的粘结剂的形成。
在进一步的实施方案中,以上式(I)的单体可以与TISMA和三异丙基甲硅烷基丙烯酸酯(TISA)结合。
另外的亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体(c)
在某些实施方案中,共聚物可包含一种或多种式(II)的另外的共聚单体:
其中R2是H或CH3,并且R3是C3-C18取代基,其具有至少一个氧原子或氮原子,优选具有至少一个氧原子。如本文所使用的,这个结构定义了“亲水性”(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体。另外的式(II)的共聚单体必须不落入式(I)的范围内。理想地,R3不包含环醚。R3优选为线性或支链的C3-C8取代基,其包含至少一个氧原子或氮原子,优选包含至少一个氧原子。
如在上式中所表明的,术语“亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯”要求式(II)中的R3基团包含至少一个氧原子或氮原子,优选包含至少一个氧原子。如在下文中详细解释地,另外的非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体也可存在于甲硅烷基酯共聚物中,其中R3单元仅由C和H原子组成。
在上式(II)中,R3基团优选为式(CH2CH2O)n-R4,其中R4是C1-C10烃基取代基,优选C1-C10烷基或C6-C10芳基取代基并且n为在范围1至6的整数,优选1至3。优选R3是式(CH2CH2O)n-R4,其中R4是C1-C10烷基取代基,优选甲基或乙基,并且n为在范围1至3的整数,优选1或2。
特别优选的组分(c)的含量,当存在时,为2至30mol%,优选5至20mol%,如5至15mol%。当式(II)的共聚单体的混合物存在时,这些含量有关于共聚物中式(II)的共聚单体的组合摩尔分数。
当式(II)的共聚单体存在时,特别优选的共聚单体包括甲基丙烯酸甲氧基乙酯(MEMA)、丙烯酸甲氧基乙酯(MEA)和乙基二乙二醇丙烯酸酯(EDEGA),优选MEMA或EDEGA。
另外的非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体
甲硅烷基酯共聚物可包含一种或多种另外的式(III)的(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体
其中R5是H或CH3,并且R6是C1-C8烃基取代基,优选C1-C8烷基取代基,最优选甲基、乙基、正丙基、2-乙基己基或正丁基。根据式(III)的共聚单体在本文中被称为“非亲水性”共聚单体。
优选地,甲硅烷基酯共聚物包含至少一种另外的非亲水性甲基丙烯酸酯和/或非亲水性丙烯酸酯共聚单体。当一种或多种非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体存在时,在甲硅烷基酯共聚物中这些(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚物之和优选为至多50mol%,优选不多于45mol%,如不多于40mol%,如在15至45mol%的范围内。
在一个优选的实施方案中,共聚单体TISMA、THFA和任何根据式(III)的非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体共同形成甲硅烷基酯共聚物中共聚单体的>80mol%,优选>85mol%,特别是>90mol%。
在一个优选的实施方案中,甲硅烷基酯共聚物包含一种或多种共聚单体,甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)和/或正丁基丙烯酸酯(n-BA)。
在本发明所有的实施方案中,优选除了TISMA和THFA,包含甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)。当存在时,MMA优选存在的量为共聚物的10至50mol%,优选15至45mol%。在一个优选的实施方案中,TISMA、THFA和MMA共同形成甲基硅烷酯共聚物中共聚单体的>80%,优选>85%,特别是>90mol%。
在一个特别优选的实施方案中,共聚物包含20至70mol%的TISMA,2至50mol%的THFA和10至45mol%的MMA;特别是20至40mol%的TISMA,5至40mol%的THFA和15至45mol%的MMA。在这些实施方案中,可以包含另外的甲硅烷基(甲基)丙烯酸酯,亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯和/或非亲水性(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体。
当存在时,n-BA优选存在的量为5至30mol%,如5至20mol%。

甲硅烷基酯共聚物可包含另外的甲硅烷基(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体。当存在时,适合的甲硅烷基(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚单体优选为式(IV)

取代的芳基基团的实例包括用至少一个选自以下基团的取代基取代的芳基基团:卤素、具有1至约8个碳原子的烷基基团、酰基基团或硝基基团。特别优选的芳基基团包含取代的和未取代的苯基、苄基、苯烷基或萘基。

甲硅烷基酯共聚物的性质
包含有机甲硅烷基酯基团的聚合物可以在聚合引发剂的存在下通过多种方法(如以常规方式的溶液聚合、本体聚合、乳液聚合和悬浮聚合或通过可控聚合技术)通过聚合单体混合物获得。在使用这种包含有机甲硅烷基酯基团的聚合物制备涂层组合物中,优选用有机溶剂稀释聚合物以提供具有适宜粘度的聚合物溶液。从这个观点来看,希望使用溶液聚合。
聚合引发剂的实例包括偶氮化合物(如2,2'-偶氮双(2-甲基丙酸)二甲酯、2,2'-偶氮双(2-甲基丁腈)、2,2'-偶氮双(异丁腈)和1,1'-偶氮双(氰基环己烷))和过氧化物(如过氧化新戊酸叔丁酯、过氧化-2-乙基己酸叔丁酯、过氧化二乙基乙酸叔丁酯、过氧化异丁酸叔丁酯、二叔丁基过氧化物、过氧化苯甲酸叔丁酯和过氧化异丙基碳酸叔丁酯、过氧化新戊酸叔戊酯、过氧化2-乙基己酸叔戊酯、1,1-二(叔戊基过氧)环己烷和过氧化二苯甲酰)。单独使用这些化合物或使用这些化合物两种或多种的混合物。
有机溶剂的实例包括芳香烃,如二甲苯、甲苯、均三甲苯;酮,如甲基乙基酮、甲基异丁基酮、甲基戊基酮、甲基异戊基酮、环戊酮、环己酮;酯,如乙酸丁酯、乙酸叔丁酯、乙酸戊酯、乙二醇甲醚乙酸酯;醚,如乙二醇二甲醚、二甘醇二甲醚、二丁醚、二氧六环、四氢呋喃;醇,如正丁醇、异丁醇、苯甲醇;醚醇,如丁氧基乙醇、1-甲氧基-2-丙醇;脂族烃,如石油溶剂(white spirit);和任选的两种或更多种溶剂的混合物。单独使用这些化合物或使用这些化合物的两种或多种的混合物。共聚物优选为无规聚合物。
如此获得的包含有机甲硅烷基酯基团的聚合物优选具有的重均分子量为5000至70000,优选10000至60000,特别是20000至60000。Mw如在实施例部分所述进行测量。
甲硅烷基酯共聚物可以作为聚合物溶液提供。希望将聚合物溶液调整为具有的固含量是以重量计30至90%,优选以重量计40至85%,更优选以重量计47至75%。
本发明的最终的防污涂层组合物优选包含基于总涂层组合物0.5至45wt%(干固体)的甲硅烷基酯共聚物,如1.0至30wt%,特别是5至25wt%。
共聚物优选具有至少25℃的玻璃化温度(Tg),优选至少28℃,如至少30℃。在一些实施方案中,Tg可以是至少35℃或至少40℃,所有的值都是根据实施例部分描述的Tg测试测量。优选小于100℃的值,如小于75℃,例如,小于60℃。
本发明的防污涂层组合物可任选包含本发明的甲硅烷基酯共聚物和其他甲硅烷基酯共聚物的混合物,例如US 4,593,055、EP 0 646 630、WO2009/007276和EP 2 781 567中描述的。
松香组分
可以使用松香调节防污涂层膜的自抛光性能和机械性能。本发明的防污涂层优选包含至少0.5wt%(干固体)的松香,如至少1wt%。松香组分的上限可以是25wt%,如15wt%。
本发明中使用的松香可以是松香或其衍生物,如其盐,例如如下描述的。松香材料的实例包括木松香、塔罗油松香和脂松香(gum rosin);松香衍生物,如氢化和部分氢化的松香、歧化松香、二聚松香(dimerised rosin)、聚合松香、马来酸酯、富马酸酯、甘油酯、甲酯、季戊四醇酯和其他松香酯以及氢化松香、树脂酸铜、树脂酸锌、树脂酸钙、树脂酸镁和松香的其他金属树脂酸盐和聚合松香以及其他在WO97/44401中描述的。优选脂松香和脂松香的衍生物。
在本发明中,防污组合物作为整体可包含0.5至25wt%,优选1至15wt%(干固体)的松香材料,优选2至7wt%。
防污涂层的性质可以通过变化甲硅烷基酯共聚物和松香组分的相对量调整。
因此,在一个优选的实施方案中,本发明提供了包含如上文所定义的甲硅烷基酯共聚物和松香或其衍生物的粘结剂。
其他粘结剂组分
除了甲硅烷基酯共聚物和任选的松香,可以使用另外的粘结剂以调节防污涂层膜的性质。除了本发明的甲硅烷基酯共聚物和松香,可以使用的粘结剂的实例包括:
酸功能聚合物,其酸基团用以下封闭:连接至单价有机残基的二价金属,例如,如在EP 0 204 456和EP 0 342 276中所述的;或连接至羟基残基的二价金属,例如在GB 2311 070和EP 0 982 324中所述的;或胺,如在EP 0 529 693中所述的;
亲水性共聚物,例如如在GB 2 152 947中所述的(甲基)丙烯酸酯共聚物和如在EP0 526 441中所述的聚(N-乙烯基吡咯烷酮)共聚物和其他共聚物;

包含金属的聚酯,例如在EP 1 033 392和EP 1 072 625中描述的,条件是金属不是铜;
醇酸树脂和改性醇酸树脂;和
烃类树脂,例如在WO2011/092143中所述的,如仅由至少一种选自C5脂肪族单体、C9芳族单体、茚苯并呋喃单体或萜烯及其混合物的单体聚合而成的烃类树脂;

如果,除了松香和甲硅烷基酯共聚物,存在另一粘结剂,甲硅烷基共聚物:粘结剂的重量比可从30:70至95:5,优选从40:60至70:30,特别是50:50至70:30。这些优选比例仅涉及甲硅烷基共聚物和另外的粘结剂的量,即没有包括松香。
特别适宜的另外的粘结剂是(甲基)丙烯酸聚合物和共聚物。
杀虫剂
防污涂层另外包含能避免或移除在表面上或从表面移除海洋污垢的化合物。传统上,防污涂层组合物包含铜杀虫剂,如金属铜、氧化亚铜、硫氰酸亚铜等。
氧化亚铜材料具有典型的粒径分布0.1-70μm和平均粒径(d50)1-25μm。氧化亚铜材料可含有稳定剂(以避免表面氧化)。商业可得的氧化亚铜材料包括Nordox CuprousOxide Red Paint Grade(Nordox氧化亚铜红漆),Nordox XLT来自Nordox AS,Cuprousoxide(氧化亚铜)来自Furukawa Chemicals有限公司;Red Copp 97N,Purple Copp,LoloTint 97N,Chemet CDC,Chemet LD来自American Chemet公司;Cuprous Oxide Red来自Spiess-Urania;Cuprous oxide Roast,Cuprous oxide Electrolytic来自TaixingSmelting Plant有限公司。
可以使用一系列的有机杀虫剂替代铜杀虫剂,如4-[1-(2,3-二甲基苯基)乙基]-1H-咪唑【美托咪定】和4-溴-2-(4-氯苯基)-5-(三氟甲基)-1H-吡咯-3-腈【吡咯腈】。任何已知的杀虫剂可用于本发明。在工业中使用术语防污剂、防塞物质、杀虫剂、有毒物来描述已知的用作避免表面上海洋污垢的化合物。本发明的防污剂为海洋防污剂。
涂层组合物可包含铜杀虫剂,优选氧化亚铜(Cu2O)和/或吡硫翁铜。本发明的涂层组合物可包含其他如在WO2014/064048中描述的杀虫剂。优选的生物活性剂为氧化亚铜、硫氰酸亚铜、吡硫锌(zinc pyrithione)、吡硫翁铜、乙烯双(二硫代氨基甲酸锌)(zincethylenebis(dithiocarbamate))【代森锌】、2-(叔丁基氨基)-4-(环丙基氨基)-6-(甲硫基)-1,3,5-三嗪【cubutryne】、4,5-二氯-2-正辛基-4-异噻唑啉-3-酮【DCOIT】、N-二氯氟甲硫基-N',N'-二甲基-N-苯基磺酰胺【二氯氟磺胺】(dichlorofluanid)、N-二氯氟甲硫基-N',N'-二甲基-N-对甲苯基磺酰胺【甲苯氟磺胺】(tolylfluanid)、4-[1-(2,3-二甲基苯基)乙基]-1H-咪唑【美托咪定】、三苯基硼烷吡啶【TPBP】和4-溴-2-(4-氯苯基)-5-(三氟甲基)-1H-吡咯-3-腈【吡咯腈】。
由于在本领域中已知不同的杀虫剂针对不同的海洋污染有机物作用,可以使用杀虫剂的混合物。
在一个优选的实施方案中,杀虫剂是不含铜的。在该实施方案中,防污剂优选为有机防污剂,例如选自上述列表中的一种。在该实施方案中,优选的杀虫剂组合涉及吡咯腈和一种或多种选自吡硫锌和4,5-二氯-2-辛基-4-异噻唑啉-3-酮的组合。
当存在时,杀虫剂的组合量可以是涂层组合物的最多70wt%,如4至60wt%,例如5至60wt%。当铜存在时,适合的杀虫剂的量可以是在涂层组合物中的20至60wt%。当避免铜时,可以使用更低的量,如0.1至20wt%,例如0.2至15wt%。
一些防污剂可以装入惰性载体中或吸附在惰性载体之上或结合至其他材料以实现可控释放。这些百分比指存在的活性防污剂的量因此不涉及任何使用的载体。
其他组分
除了甲硅烷基酯共聚物和任意上述任选的组分,根据本发明的防污涂层组合物可任选还包含一种或多种选自其他粘结剂、无机或有机颜料、扩展剂(extender)和填料、添加剂、溶剂和稀释剂的组分。
颜料的实例为无机颜料,如二氧化钛、氧化铁、氧化锌和磷酸锌;有机颜料,如酞菁化合物、偶氮颜料和炭黑。
扩展剂和填料的实例为矿物,如白云石、石灰石、方解石、石英、重晶石、菱镁矿、文石、硅石、硅灰石、滑石、绿泥石、云母、高岭土和长石;合成的无机化合物,如碳酸钙、碳酸镁、硫酸钡、硅酸钙和二氧化硅;聚合的无机微球,如未涂布或涂布的中空玻璃珠和实心玻璃珠,未涂布或涂布的中空陶瓷珠和实心陶瓷珠,多孔和紧凑的聚合材料的珠子,所述聚合材料如聚(甲基丙烯酸甲酯)、甲基丙烯酸甲酯与乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯的共聚物(poly(methyl methacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate))、苯乙烯与乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯的共聚物(poly(styrene-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate))、苯乙烯与二乙烯基苯的共聚物(poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene))、聚苯乙烯,聚氯乙烯。
可以加入到防污涂层组合物的添加剂的实例为增强剂、触变剂、增稠剂、防沉剂、润湿分散剂、增塑剂和溶剂。
增强剂的实例是薄片和纤维。纤维包括天然和合成的无机纤维,如含硅纤维、碳纤维、氧化物纤维、碳化物纤维、氮化物纤维、硫化物纤维、磷酸盐纤维、矿物纤维;金属纤维;天然和合成的有机纤维,如纤维素纤维、橡胶纤维、丙烯酸纤维、聚酰胺纤维、聚酰亚胺、聚酯纤维、聚酰肼纤维、聚氯乙烯纤维、聚乙烯纤维和其他如在WO00/77102中描述的。优选地,具有平均长度为25至2000μm和平均厚度1至50μm的纤维,其平均长度和平均厚度之间的比例至少为5。
触变剂、增稠剂和防沉剂的实例为二氧化硅,如煅制二氧化硅、有机改性粘土、酰胺蜡、聚酰胺蜡、酰胺衍生物、聚乙烯蜡、氧化聚乙烯蜡、氢化蓖麻油蜡、乙基纤维素、硬脂酸铝及其混合物。
增塑剂的实例为氯化石蜡、邻苯二甲酸酯、磷酸酯、磺胺、己二酸和环氧化植物油。
脱水剂和干燥剂的实例包括无水硫酸钙、半水硫酸钙、无水硫酸镁、无水硫酸钠、无水硫酸锌、分子筛和沸石;原酸酯,如原甲酸三甲酯、原甲酸三乙酯、原甲酸三丙酯、原甲酸三异丙酯、原甲酸三丁酯、原乙酸三甲酯和原乙酸三乙酯;缩酮;缩醛;烯醇醚;正硼酸酯(orthoborates),如硼酸三甲酯、硼酸三乙酯、硼酸三丙酯、硼酸三异丙酯、硼酸三丁酯和硼酸三叔丁酯;硅酸盐,如三甲氧基甲基硅烷、硅酸四乙酯和聚硅酸乙酯;和异氰酸酯,如对甲苯磺酰基异氰酸酯。
优选的脱水剂和干燥剂为硅酸盐和无机化合物。
有助于防污涂层组合物的贮存稳定性的稳定剂的实例为碳化二亚胺化合物,如双(2,6-二异丙基苯基)碳化二亚胺和聚(1,3,5-三异丙基亚苯基-2,4-碳化二亚胺)和其他如在专利EP 2725073中描述的。
通常,任意这些任选组分可以防污组合物的0.1至20wt%,通常0.5至20wt%,优选0.75至15wt%的量存在。应理解这些任选组分的量将根据最终用途而变化。
非常优选防污组合物包含溶剂。该溶剂优选是挥发的并且优选是有机的。有机溶剂和稀释剂的实例是芳香烃,如二甲苯、甲苯、均三甲苯;酮,如甲基乙基酮、甲基异丁基酮、甲基异戊基酮、甲基戊基酮、二异丁基酮、甲基丙基酮、环戊酮、环己酮;酯,如乙酸丁酯、乙酸叔丁酯、乙酸戊酯、乙酸异戊酯、乙二醇甲醚乙酸酯、丙酸丙酯、丙酸丁酯;醚,如乙二醇二甲醚、二甘醇二甲醚、二丁醚、二氧六环、四氢呋喃,醇,如正丁醇、异丁醇、苄醇;醚醇,如丁氧基乙醇、1-甲氧基-2-丙醇;脂族烃,如石油溶剂;和任选的两种或更多种溶剂和稀释剂的混合物。
优选的溶剂是芳香族溶剂,特别是二甲苯和芳香烃的混合物。
溶剂的量优选尽可能少。溶剂含量最多可以为组合物的50wt%,优选最多为组合物的30wt%,如最多20wt%,但可以是如10wt%这样低或更低,例如8.0wt%或更低。再次,技术人员会理解溶剂含量将根据存在的其他组分和涂层组合物的最终用途而变化。
或者,涂层可以分散在用于涂层组合物的成膜组分的有机非溶剂中或在水分散体中。
本发明的防污涂层组合物应优选具有的固含量为40vol%以上,例如按体积计45%以上,如50vol%以上,优选55vol%以上(ASTM D5201-01)。
更优选地,防污涂层组合物应该具有挥发有机化合物(VOC)的含量在500g/L以下,优选在400g/L以下,例如390g/L以下。VOC含量可以进行计算(ASTM D5201-01)或者测量,优选进行测量。
本发明的防污涂层组合物可以应用至经受海洋污染的任意物体表面的全部或者部分。表面可以是永久或间歇地在水下(例如通过潮流运动、不同的货物的装载或膨胀)。物体表面将典型地为船舶的船体或者固定海洋物体如石油平台或浮标的表面。可以通过任何便利的方法完成涂层组合物的应用,例如通过涂布(例如用刷子或滚筒)或将涂层喷涂在物体上。典型地,表面将需要与海水隔离开以实现涂布。涂层的应用可以本领域已知的常规地实现。
当将防污涂层应用在物体(例如船舶的船体)上,物体的表面通常不仅通过防污单涂层保护。取决于表面的性质,防污涂层可以直接应用在已经存在的涂层体系。这样的涂层体系可包含几层不同类型的油漆(例如环氧、聚酯、乙烯或丙烯酸或其混合物)。如果表面是干净的并且是之前应用的完整的防污油漆,可以直接应用新的防污油漆,典型为一或两层特殊情况下更多层。
或者,技术人员可以未涂布的表面(例如钢铁、铝、塑料、复合材料、玻璃纤维或碳纤维)开始。为了保护这样的表面,整个涂层体系将典型地包含一或两层防腐涂层,一层粘结层和一或两层防污油漆。本领域技术人员会对这些涂层熟悉。
在特殊情况下,可以应用另外的防污涂层。
因此,在一个进一步的实施方案中,本发明提供了其上涂布有防腐涂层如环氧底漆、粘结层和如本文定义的防污涂层组合物的基底。

根据ISO3251确定聚合物溶液中非挥发物质含量。取出0.5g±0.1g的测试样品并在通风风箱中在150℃下干燥30分钟。残留材料的重量被视为非挥发物质(NVM)。非挥发物质的含量以重量百分比表示。所给出的值是三次平行测试的平均值。
分子量确定
通过凝胶渗透色谱法(GPC)测定表征聚合物。使用具有两个串联的来自PolymerLaboratories的PL凝胶5μm混合的D柱(PL gel 5μm Mixed-D column)的PolymerLaboratories PL-GPC50仪器,四氢呋喃(THF)作为环境温度的洗脱液并在恒定流速1mL/min以及用折光率(RI)检测器确定分子量分布(MWD)。柱使用来自Polymer Laboratories的聚苯乙烯标准EasiVials PS-H校准。使用来自Polymer Labs的Cirrus软件处理数据。
通过溶解对应5mL THF中25mg干聚合物的聚合物溶液的量制备样品。在用于GPC测量取样之前室温下保持样品至少3小时。在分析之前,将样品通过0.45μm的尼龙过滤器过滤。确定重均分子量(Mw)和数均分子量(Mn),并且结果记录为Mw和多分散指数(PDI)(作为Mw/Mn给出)。
粘度
聚合物溶液的粘度根据ASTM D2196试验方法A使用具有在12rpm的LV-2或LV-4轴的Brookfield DV-1粘度计确定。在测量之前,将聚合物调节(tempered)至23.0℃±0.5℃。
玻璃化温度Tg
通过差示扫描量热法(DSC)测量获得玻璃化温度(Tg)。在TA仪器DSC Q200上进行DSC测量。通过转移少量的聚合物溶液至铝锅并将样品在50℃至少干燥10h之后在150℃干燥3h来制备样品。约10mg干燥的聚合物材料样品在敞开的铝锅中测量,空锅作为参照。测量的温度程序如下:
1.在-50℃平衡
2.加热坡道10℃/min至150℃
3.冷却坡道-10℃/min至-50℃
4.加热坡道10℃/min至150℃
使用来自TA仪器的Universal Analysis软件处理数据。第二次加热的玻璃化范围的拐点,如在ASTM E 1356-08中定义的,被记录为聚合物的Tg。
现实生活的动态测试
PVC板首先用一层粘结层(Safeguard Plus)涂布,之后一层是市售防污层(SeaQuantum Ultra S)涂布。待测油漆使用具有600μm缺口大小的帧器应用至该PVC板。之后将该板安装在船的船体上。该船在世界范围内航行15个月,平均速度15节,船行的因素75%,最长停留9天。根据下表,该测试的结果记录为污垢量在0至4的范围。
每个漆膜具有带非抛光参照(即没有抛光的油漆)的薄带。通过测量暴露的油漆和通过非抛光参照覆盖的油漆之间的膜厚度差异确定膜厚度的减少。

制备共聚物溶液A-1至A-14和C-1至C-6的一般步骤
将二甲苯(35份)装入安装有搅拌器、冷凝器、加料入口和氮气入口的反应器中。将反应器中的物质加热至85℃并保持在该温度。将原料(其由单体(50份)、二甲苯(10份)和2,2’-偶氮双(2-甲基丁腈)(AMBN)(0.48份)的混合物组成)以恒定速率历经2小时加入到反应器中。完成加料一个小时之后,加入二甲苯(5份)和AMBN(0.12份)的混合物。将反应混合物保持在85℃另外两小时,之后将温度升高至120℃并保持在此温度30分钟。最后冷却反应器。聚合物的单体组成在表1和表2中列出。
用于制备共聚物溶液A-15的一般步骤
将二甲苯(30.0份)装入安装有搅拌器、冷凝器、加料入口和氮气入口的反应器中。将反应器中的物质加热至95℃并保持在该温度。将原料(其由单体(55.0份)、二甲苯(8.5份)和2,2’-偶氮双(2-甲基丁腈)(AMBN)(0.52份)的混合物组成)以恒定速率历经2小时加入到反应器中。完成加料一个小时之后,加入二甲苯(7.0份)和AMBN(0.13份)的混合物。将反应混合物保持在95℃另外1.5小时,之后将温度升高至105℃并保持在此温度30分钟。最后冷却反应器。聚合物的单体组成在表2中列出。
用于制备防污涂层组合物的一般步骤
以表3和表4中给出的比例混合组分。使用振荡器在玻璃珠(直径约2mm)的存在下将混合物分散在250ml的油漆罐15分钟。
从表3和表4可以看出,根据本发明的涂层组合物在膜厚度减少的情况下显示了提升的抛光率。显著地,实施例的污垢等级也是很好的。因此,实施例显示本发明的组合物具有理想的防污性能。

1.一种甲硅烷基酯共聚物,包含以下作为共聚单体:
(a)三异丙基甲硅烷基甲基丙烯酸酯(TISMA);
(b)丙烯酸四氢呋喃酯(THFA);和任选地
(c)一种或多种式(II)的共聚单体:
其中R2是H或CH3,并且R3是C3-C18取代基,其包含至少一个氧原子或氮原子;和
(d)一种或多种式(III)的共聚单体:
其中R5是H或CH3,并且R6是C1-C8烃基取代基;
