Abstract
本发明涉及一种制造具有高白度纤维素模塑体的方法,其特征在于组合下列步骤:将纤维素材料用漂白剂漂白,条件是该漂白剂不含氯或氯化合物;将用漂白剂漂白过的纤维素材料溶于含水的叔胺氧化物中,从而得到可模塑的纤维素溶液;和,将该可模塑纤维素溶液加工成模塑体。
Description
本发明涉及一种纤维素模塑体,特别是一种纤维素纤维和它的制造方法。
数十年以来,人们在寻找一种能代替目前大规模应用的粘胶法制造纤维素纤维的工艺,特别作为具有吸引力的具有较好的环境相容性的一种方案是将未衍生化的纤维素溶于有机溶剂中,并从该溶液中挤出模塑体,例如纤维、薄膜和其它模塑体。用这种方法挤出制成的纤维经BISFA(人造纤维标准化国际局)得到了Lyocell的属名。BISFA所称的有机溶剂是指一种有机化合物和水的混合物。
已经证实,特别是叔胺氧化物和水的混合物作为有机溶剂很适用于制造纤维素模塑体。作为胺氧化物首选采用N-甲基吗啉-N-氧化物(NMMO)。其它胺氧化物例如在EP-A-0553070中有过描述。在EP-A-0356419中提出了一种制造可模塑纤维素溶液的方法。应用叔胺氧化物制造纤维素模塑体的方法通常称为胺氧化物方法。
在EP-A-0356419中描述了一种制造可纺纤维素溶液的胺氧化物法,该方法是主要采用纤维素在液态含水的N-甲基吗啉-N-氧化物(NMMO)的悬浮液作原料。这种方法是使悬浮液在薄膜处理设备中一步并连续地转化成可模塑的溶液。该可模塑溶液接着经过一个模塑模具例如一个喷丝头纺成单丝,并经气隙进入沉淀浴中,使纤维素沉淀出来,尔后洗涤所得到的纤维素纤维。
纤维中出现不希望有的色泽主要是由木质素和带色的有机化合物所致。为了防止这一现象出现,已知可将纤维素材料在加工前进行漂白。为此可将粗纤维素材料在准确确定的条件下采用一系列漂白剂,诸如元素氯、氯化合物如次氯酸盐和二氧化氯、氧、过氧化物和臭氧进行反应,反应是用这些化合物的组合,并按一定顺序完成的,故称之谓漂白顺序。
传统的漂白方法是用元素氯开始,随pH值不同氯化或氧化至不同程度。次氯酸盐和二氧化氯将木质素和带色的化合物氧化。在这些漂白剂各个反应步骤之间通常要进行碱性萃取,以便从反应介质中除去进入溶液中的木质素和其它化合物。关于纤维素材料漂白的技术概况请见“纤维素的漂白”(R.P.Singh;The Bleaching of Pulp,TAPPI Press,Atlanta,USA。)
在纤维素材料漂白时,使用含氯漂白剂会生成不同程度的氯化产品,它们难以降解,大部分将进入废水中。从环保角度考虑,这种方法是有问题的,因而含氯漂白剂,尤其是元素氯的应用越来越受到限制,然而由此也使得漂白的质量有所下降,因为元素氯具有很高的漂白能力。
在含氯化合物中,二氧化氯的漂白效果要优于次氯酸盐,但其价格也比经常使用的次氯酸盐要贵。
根据目前的技术水平,也采用完全不含氯的漂白方法。这些方法中,采用氧/过氧化物的组合以及用臭氧。这样漂白的纤维素材料称作TCF(完全无氯)纤维素材料,因为它既不用元素氯,也不用氯化合物进行漂白。而在另一方面,在文献中的ECF(无元素氯)纤维素材料是指不用元素氯,但用氯化合物漂白的纤维素材料。
在本说明书中,用次氯酸盐漂白的ECF纤维素材料称为ECF次氯酸盐纤维素材料。
在现有技术中所谓白度是指漂白效果的程度,这是从粘胶纤维方法出现的,即在漂白的纤维素材料的白度和由该纤维素材料制成的纤维素产品的白度之间存在着这样一种关系,具有较高白度的纤维素材料通常也可加工成有较高白度的纤维。
本发明的目的是提供一种制造纤维素模塑体的方法,它可以相同原始白度的纤维素材料和其它方面相同的方法制成比用ECF次氯酸盐纤维素材料制成的纤维素模塑体具有更高白度的纤维素模塑体。
这一目的以制造纤维素模塑体的方法来达到,其特征在于下列步骤的组合:
-将纤维素材料用一种漂白剂漂白,条件是该漂白剂不含氯或氯化合物,
-将用漂白剂漂白过的纤维素材料溶解在一种含水的叔胺氧化物中,从而得到可模塑的纤维素溶液,和
-将可模塑的纤维素溶液加工成模塑体。
用本发明的方法可按干纺法/湿纺法特别制造高白度的纤维素纤维以及纤维素薄膜。
对本领域技术人员而言,令人惊异的是,当起始原料的白度相同时,TCF纤维素材料比ECF次氯酸盐纤维素材料达到的纤维白度要高,并产生了好的副作用,即这种方法可特别适于环境地制造纤维。
本发明也涉及用胺氧化物法制造的纤维的漂白,它采用无氯漂白剂,如氧、臭氧特别是过氧化氢。
按本发明的一种优选的方案,其特征在于,按本发明制造的纤维及薄膜用不含氯或氯化合物的漂白剂进行漂白。
作为叔胺氧化物,尤其是N-甲基吗啉-N-氧化物特别有效。
本发明也涉及可按本发明方法制造的具有高白度的纤维素模塑体,特别是纤维素纤维和薄膜。
另外,本发明还涉及到用一种不含氯或氯化合物的漂白剂漂白过的纤维素材料用于按胺氧化物法制造纤维素模塑体的应用。
用下述实例和对照例进一步对本发明进行阐述。
实例
为制造TCF纤维素材料,将纤维素材料(山毛榉亚硫酸盐纤维素浆粕类)首先用过氧化物增强的碱性氧萃取、然后用臭氧最后再用过氧化物按已知方法漂白,每种漂白工艺可见“纤维素漂白”(R.P.Singh所著的TheBleaching of Pulp,TAPPI Press,Atlanta,USA)以及EP-A-0426652专利。
所得到的TCF纤维素材料的白度按ISO3688测定为90.6,该纤维素材料的快速铜铵粘度值按Zellcheming ZM IV/30/62测定为19.8Pas,而其α含量为90.9。
接着将此TCF纤维素材料按已知方法在搅拌槽中加工成含有12%纤维素、77%NMMO和11%水组成的纺丝料。该纺丝料的粘度为1630Pas(温度:90℃,剪切速度:0.1秒1)。
纺丝料在120℃经过一个有100μm直径纺丝孔的喷丝头按已知湿纺法/干纺法(参见EP-A-0584318)纺成纤维,按本发明制造的纤维白度大约为50。
纤维的CIELAB白度是按下述方法测定的:根据DIN6174和DIN5033用D65光照在10°观测角测定纤维的配色坐标Rx,Ry,Rz,由这些配色坐标值按DIN55981(按Gartner/Griesser的色调差)在红/绿轴如下(式)计算出CIE-白度和着色(tint):
CIE-白度:W=Y+800*(x0-x)+1700(y0-y)
着色:T=900*(x0-x)-650*(y0-y)
(注:T负值=红色调,T正值=绿色调)
y…对绿色敏感的标准色度值(=
Ry…绿色反射值)
x0,y0…非彩色点的标准色度值部分;(D65.10°时,X0=0.3138;y0=0.3310)
x,y…试样的标准色值部分;按下式计算:
x=X/(X+Y+Z)
y=Y/(X+Y+Z)
z=1-x-y
在式中的标准色值X,Y,Z,仍然由在D65的光照和10°观测角时的反射值(滤光值)Rx,Ry,Rz,按下式计算:
X=0.94811*Rx
Y=Ry
Z=1.07304*Rz
接着将此纤维用过氧化氢漂白(1.5gH2O2;稳定剂:0.2g/1MgSO4;pH10.5;洗液比1∶20;70℃漂白时间:3分钟),经漂白的纤维的CIELAB-白度为57。
对照例:
为制取ECF次氯酸盐纤维素材料,用与上例相同的原料,首先以过氧化物增强的碱性氧萃取,然后用次氯酸盐,再用过氧化物漂白。
所得到的ECF次氯酸盐纤维素材料的白度为91.6,它与制取TCF纤维素材料的实例中的白度值基本相同。
然后类似于上例制取纺丝料和纤维。制成的纤维CIELAB白度约为39。很明显,按本发明不用任何氯化合物漂白的TCF纤维素材料加工成纤维的白度要高于用次氯酸盐漂白的ECF纤维素材料制成的纤维白度。
接着将制成的纤维如上例所描述的那样进行漂白,漂白后纤维的白度约为54。
Claims (5)
1.制造具有高白度的纤维素纤维的方法,其特征在于组合下列步骤:
-将纤维素材料用一种漂白剂漂白,条件是该漂白剂不含氯或氯化合物,
-将用漂白剂漂白过的纤维素材料溶解于含水的叔胺氧化物中,从而得到可模塑的纤维素溶液,和
-将该可模塑的纤维素溶液加工成纤维。
2.按权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,可模塑的纤维素溶液采用干纺法/湿纺法加工成纤维。
3.按权利要求2的方法,其特征在于,纤维用漂白剂漂白,条件是该漂白剂不含氯或氯化合物。
4.按权利要求1或2的方法,其特征在于,使用N-甲基吗啉-N-氧化物作为叔胺氧化物。
5.用漂白剂漂白过的纤维素材料用于按胺氧化物法制取纤维素模塑体的用途,条件是漂白剂不含氯或氯化合物。
