Abstract
The invention provides a mobile terminal which comprises a shell and a display module assembled in the shell, wherein the display module comprises a display screen and a cover plate attached to the display screen, a protective layer is attached to the side wall of the display screen, a dispensing groove is formed by the side wall of the shell, the side wall of the cover plate and the protective layer together, an adhesive object is filled in the dispensing groove, and the side wall of the cover plate is fixedly connected with the side wall of the shell through the adhesive object. According to the invention, the side wall of the cover plate is used as the dispensing area connected with the shell, so that the effective display area of the cover plate is not occupied, and therefore, the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal can be improved.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a mobile terminal.
Background
At present, the mobile terminal is developing towards the trend of increasing screen occupation ratio, and for the display screen with the same size, the size of the screen occupation ratio depends on the size of the non-display area on the glass cover plate. The larger the non-display area on the glass cover plate is, the lower the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal is; the smaller the non-display area on the glass cover plate is, the higher the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal is. In the existing mobile terminal, the assembly between the glass cover plate and the mobile terminal housing is realized by dispensing at the bottom of the glass cover plate, and the dispensing area at the edge of the glass cover plate becomes a non-display area by the assembly method.
As shown in fig. 1, a dispensing slot 12 is provided on a housing 11 of the mobile terminal, the bottom of a cover plate 13 is overlapped on the housing 11 at the dispensing slot 12, and the bottom of the cover plate 13 is fixedly connected with the housing 11 through glue in the dispensing slot 12. Since the glue at the bottom of the cover 13 increases the width from the edge of the cover 13 to the display area of the display 14 (i.e. the width of the non-display area), L1 in fig. 1 is the width of the non-display area, and therefore the screen occupation ratio of the conventional mobile terminal is low.
Therefore, the problem of low screen occupation ratio exists in the existing mobile terminal.
Disclosure of Invention
The embodiment of the invention provides a mobile terminal, which aims to solve the problem of low screen occupation ratio in the existing mobile terminal.

In the embodiment of the invention, the protective layer is attached to the side wall of the display screen, and the glue dispensing groove can be formed between the side wall of the cover plate and the frame of the shell, so that the assembly between the cover plate and the shell can be realized by dispensing the glue at the side part of the cover plate. According to the embodiment of the invention, the side wall of the cover plate is used as the dispensing area connected with the shell, so that the effective display area of the cover plate is not occupied, and therefore, the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal can be improved.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 2 to 9, a mobile terminal includes a housing 21 and a display module 22 assembled in the housing 21, where the display module 22 includes a display screen 221 and a cover plate 222 attached to the display screen 221, a protective layer 223 is attached to a side wall of the display screen 221, a dispensing slot 23 is formed by a frame 211 of the housing 21, a side wall of the cover plate 222 and the protective layer 223 together, a glue object 24 is filled in the dispensing slot 23, and a side wall of the cover plate 222 is fixedly connected to the frame 211 of the housing 21 through the glue object 24.
The protection layer 223 may be made of an elastic or soft material, for example, the protection layer 223 may be made of sponge, foam, rubber, or silica gel. In addition, the protective layer 223 can be attached to the sidewall of the display 221 in various ways, for example, by glue, solid glue, or double-sided glue.
Since the double-sided adhesive tape has the characteristics of easy forming, easy adhesion, easy tearing and the like, in the embodiment of the invention, the protective layer 223 is preferably attached to the sidewall of the display screen 221 through the double-sided adhesive layer 25.
The adhesive material 24 filled in the dispensing groove 23 may be a curable glue, and after the glue is dispensed into the dispensing groove 23, the glue is gradually cured and hardened with time, and bonds the side wall of the cover plate 222 and the frame 211 of the housing 21.
The cover plate 222 should be made of a material with good light transmittance, and may be, for example, a glass cover plate, a PET (Polyester) cover plate, or a plastic glass cover plate. In addition, the display screen 221 may be, but is not limited to, an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display screen.
The mobile terminal of the embodiment of the invention can comprise: at least one of a cell phone, a tablet, an e-book reader, an MP3 player, an MP4 player, a digital camera, a laptop, a car computer, a desktop computer, a set-top box, a smart tv, a wearable device.
In the embodiment of the present invention, due to the arrangement of the protection layer 223, the adhesive object 24 in the dispensing slot 23 can be supported by the protection layer 223, the protection layer 223 is attached to the sidewall of the display screen 221, and the cover plate 222 covers the display screen 221. Thus, the adhesive object 24 in the dispensing slot 23 does not contact the display screen 221. Therefore, the adhesive object 24 does not damage the display screen 221 when it is set and hardened. In addition, when the mobile terminal is dropped or collided by an external force, the protective layer 223 can also play a role in buffering and protecting the display screen 221.
Because the sealing performance and the adsorption performance of the foam are good, the ability of the foam to prevent the adhesive object 24 from penetrating is also good, and therefore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the protection layer 223 is preferably made of foam.
In the embodiment of the present invention, by disposing the protective layer 223 between the display screen 221 and the housing 21, the dispensing slot 23 may be formed between the side wall of the cover plate 222 and the frame 211 of the housing 21, so that the assembly between the cover plate 222 and the housing 21 may be achieved by dispensing the side of the cover plate 222. In the embodiment of the invention, the side wall of the cover plate 222 is used as the dispensing area connected with the shell 21, so that the effective display area of the cover plate 222 is not occupied. As shown in fig. 4, L2 is the width of the non-display area in the embodiment of the present invention, and as can be seen from a comparison between fig. 1 and fig. 4, L2 is significantly smaller than L1. Therefore, the embodiment of the invention can improve the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal.
Optionally, the cover plate 222 extends out of the display screen 221, and the cover plate 222 overlaps the protective layer 223.
In order to prevent damage to the display screen 221 due to slight penetration of the adhesive object 24, the cover plate 222 may extend beyond the display screen 221, and the cover plate 222 overlaps the protective layer 223, considering that the adhesive object 24 may slightly penetrate under the cover plate 222 before setting and hardening. Thus, on the one hand, the distance between the edge of the cover plate 222 and the display screen 221 is suitably increased, which distance makes the display screen 221 further away from the adhesive object 24; on the other hand, the overlapping of the cover plate 222 and the protective layer 223 can also appropriately prevent the adhesive object 24 from penetrating into the display screen 221. In addition, the size of the cover plate 222 is larger than that of the display screen 221, so that the cover plate 222 can better protect the display screen 221.
Optionally, as shown in fig. 9, a light-transmitting film 26 is disposed between the cover plate 222 and the display screen 221, the light-transmitting film 26 extends out of the display screen 221, and the light-transmitting film 26 is overlapped with the protective layer 223.
In the embodiment of the invention, the light-transmitting film 26 is arranged between the cover plate 222 and the display screen 221, and the light-transmitting film 26 extends out of the display screen 221, so that the adhesive object 24 can be better isolated and blocked by the light-transmitting film 26, and the protection effect on the display screen 221 can be further improved.
The light-transmitting film 26 may be a PET film.
Optionally, the light transmissive film 26 extends to the rim 211 of the housing 21.
In the embodiment of the present invention, since the light-transmitting film 26 extends to the frame 211 of the housing 21, the light-transmitting film 26 can completely block and isolate the adhesive object 24, and the protection effect on the display screen 221 can be further improved.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the protective layer is attached to the sidewall of the display screen by a double-sided adhesive tape layer.
3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the protective layer is foam.
4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the light transmissive film extends to a bezel of the housing.
5. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the light-transmissive film is a polyester film.
6. The mobile terminal according to claim 1, wherein the cover plate is a glass cover plate or a plexiglass cover plate or a polyester cover plate.
7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the display is an organic light emitting diode display.
