Abstract
The invention provides a method and a device for searching a network by international roaming, which can be used for preferentially searching the network by adopting WCDMA (wideband code division multiple Access) if a mobile terminal is judged to be in an international roaming state when the mobile terminal is started; then when successfully registering to the WCDMA network, determining whether an available LTE network neighboring cell exists and recording frequency point information of the WCDMA network; if so, attempting to register the LTE network; if the LTE network fails to be registered, searching and registering the WCDMA network again through the stored frequency point information of the WCDMA network, so that the terminal can be ensured to quickly recover network connection, and the user experience is improved.
Description
Technical Field

Background
Currently, when a mobile terminal roams internationally, after the mobile terminal roams to some countries, the mobile terminal usually searches for an LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, that is, a 4G network. Then the mobile terminal screens out the adjacent cells of the LTE network, namely an adjacent cell I and an adjacent cell II, through the network type; and then detecting the signal intensity of the first adjacent cell and the second adjacent cell through the frequency point information of the first adjacent cell and the second adjacent cell, and then calculating the residence value of the LTE network adjacent cell according to the signal intensity and a preset algorithm. And the mobile terminal acquires the residence values calculated by the signal intensity of the first adjacent cell and the second adjacent cell, and if the residence values are greater than 0, the adjacent cells of the LTE network accord with the residence conditions. Assuming that the residence value of the first neighboring cell is greater than 0 and the residence value of the second neighboring cell is less than 0, the mobile terminal may determine that the first neighboring cell meets the residence condition and the second neighboring cell does not meet the residence condition, so that the first neighboring cell is used as an available LTE network neighboring cell.

10. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising:
and the information deleting unit is used for removing the PLMN of the LTE network from the FPLMN list if the PLMN of the LTE network is determined to be in the FPLMN list of the terminal when the registration of the LTE network fails.
