Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for processing message reminding of an application program. The method comprises the following steps: receiving an operation event of an unread message prompt identifier triggered by a user; and removing the unread message reminding identification of the application program icon corresponding to the operation event. The method provided by the embodiment of the invention does not need to start the application program, saves the CPU resource, is not easy to cause system blocking, has low power consumption, further does not need to click and read each unread message in the application program in the process, can remove the unread message reminding mark, is simple and convenient to operate, and greatly improves the user experience.
