Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to backlight technology, and more particularly, to a point light source backlight and a light guide plate thereof.
Background
The backlight plate is a light source device for ensuring the back of the liquid crystal display to emit light, and generally adopts a side light structure in order to realize uniform light emission. The specific structure is usually a bottom groove, a light source plate and a light guide plate, wherein the light source plate and the light guide plate are arranged on the bottom groove, the light source plate is arranged on one inner side wall of the bottom groove, and the side surface of the light guide plate is abutted to the light emitting surface of the light source plate. When the width of the inner side wall of the backlight plate is wider, the structure can meet the brightness requirement of the backlight plate even if only one point light source is adopted, but a plurality of point light sources are also required to be combined to form the surface light source, so that the backlight plate can emit light uniformly in the whole range in the width direction. This approach increases the cost of the product due to the need for multiple point light sources, and the gradual light emission differences of the multiple point light sources can also result in reduced uniformity of the backlight. Therefore, it is necessary to provide an effect that even when the width of the backlight is relatively wide, uniform light emission in a wide range can be achieved with a single point light source.

Compared with the prior art, the light emitted by the light source of the technology firstly enters the light inlet area 42, and the light inlet area 42 disperses the light emitted by the point light source 2 and guides the dispersed light to the light guide area 41; in addition, since the intersection angle of the light-entering surface 43 of the light-entering region 42 and the side surface of the light-guiding region 41 (the interface between the light-entering region 42 and the light-guiding region 41) is an acute angle, light will be diffused toward the light-guiding region 41, and on the other hand, the intersection angle of the light-entering surface 43 and the outer side surface of the light-entering region 42 is an obtuse angle, so that part of light will be totally reflected by the outer side surface to dead angles which cannot be irradiated when passing through the surface for direct irradiation, and therefore, compared with the prior art, the invention can realize the uniform light emission of the light-guiding region 41 in the whole range by using only a single point light source 2.
In order to uniformly diffuse the light entering from the light inlet surface 43 to the inner side surface of the light inlet region 42, one side of the light inlet surface 43 intersects with the inner side surface of the light inlet region 42 at an acute angle, the other side intersects with the outer side surface of the light inlet region 42 at an obtuse angle, and the outer side surface of the light inlet region 42 gradually approaches the inner side surface along the direction from the light inlet end to the other side until the outer side surface intersects with the inner side surface. Typically, the width of the light entrance end of the light entrance area 42 is less than half the width of the light guide area 41.
Further, the outer side of the light inlet region 42 includes a first section 44 close to the light inlet end and a second section 45 far from the light inlet end, and the first section 44 is closer to the inner side than the second section 45 in the same interval.

In this embodiment, the light source plate 3 for supplying power to the point light source 2 is horizontally disposed above the light inlet end of the upper left corner of the light guide plate, the base 1 includes a frame, the frame is formed with a plate groove 13 corresponding to the light source plate 3 in the upper left corner, the light source plate 3 is positioned in the plate groove 13, in particular, a positioning protruding point 14 is disposed in the plate groove 13, and the light source plate 3 is provided with a positioning hole 31 matched with the positioning protruding point 14.
